Went to Allure for a pedicure and a gel polish manicure. I was impressed by their efforts to keep patrons separated and safe. The salon was very clean and they used disposable tub liners for the pedicure chair, which was very comfortable. My nails were done by Nancy and I was happy that she didn't make a bunch of awkward small talk- I just wanted to relax. She took care of my cuticles and heels and left my feet very soft. My polish has held up nicely for 2 weeks. I am going back tomorrow evening. read more

I got a gel mani and a regular pedi. The woman rushed on my feet and the polish was sloppy and she should have done a third coat. My gel mani started peeling after the first day. I went to get my eyebrows waxed and the wax was barely hot. They left wax it on my face while they moved onto another section. My eyes were red and puffy and were burning after. Nancy did my pedicure. She was fantastic; she was very gentle and did a great job. Helen did my manicure and I will never be returning here. This was the worst manicure I have ever received. I asked for short coffin glitter ombré nails and provided pictures for reference on the length and the style. I made it very clear that I wanted clear glitter tips with the glitter and the base of the ombré to be a very nude pink and that I wanted more of the glitter than the pink for the ombré. The reference pictures showed this as well. The nails I left with were very chunky, uneven, a bright/white pink (not nude). Some of the nails are coffin, but others are not. I asked questions through out the process and expressed my concerns, but Helen was not willing to listen and treated me very poorly. And some point I gave up and just quietly sat through the rest of the process trying not to cry even though I was not getting what I asked for at all. She nicked me with the electric file a few times and left my finger bleeding. The pictures I have attached were taken in my car as soon as I walked out of the salon. The pink portion is splotchy - there are some dark spots that made it look like the acrylic or the brush were dirty. You can see the pink very clearly does not cover the sides of the nail. There are large gaps on almost every nail. The ends are weirdly curved in different angles on each nail. There was gel still over the sides on various parts of my finger. My nails are currently throbbing. The finish is bumpy on a lot of these. The length is still longer than what I wanted, but I had to ask multiple times through out the process to even get them close. Every time I expressed that I wanted them shorter, Helen made me feel crazy for asking and became ruder every time. She also did not fully remove my previous color fully, so the brown can still be seen on the sides. I had a terrible experience and hated the nails I left with. I tried to leave with a smile and tipped them both, but was fighting tears and would never return. read more

I am very disappointed in Allure's current service. I had been going there for a year and was a very loyal customer. At first, they were excellent. However, in the last three months, their service has gone down hill significantly and I have been forced to find a new salon. I got a fungus and white spots on my nails and my tech said it was my fault and that I had to take a break from getting my nails done. I did just that. I did not get my nails done for 6 weeks. As soon as I got my nails done again, I got another fungus. They filed it off and used the same dremel to do the rest of my nails. The following week I got another fungus. That was the last week I went. The excuse was the chemicals from the dip powders were causing little pockets of air and that was why I was getting fungi. Prior to that, my dip powder nails were cracking or popping off in less than two weeks. They said it wasn't a big deal, just come in and they would fix it. I don't want to have to come in several times. I want to go in one time every two weeks and that is it. Since then, I have gone to two different salons and had my nails done three times. I have not had one fungus. My nails popped off at the one salon and that is why I went to the the next salon and my nails have not popped of at all at the second salon. My nails were fairly long -- every nail was past the end of my finger -- and the guy who did them filed them all INCREDIBLY short, which was very disappointing as I had been purposely growing them. I didn't say anything because the damage was already done. 4 days later, the gel polish began chipping and separating. I didn't expect it to last forever, but for the price I would have hoped they would have stayed nice a little longer. Got a gel mani at this nail salon last weekend since I was in the area. The guy who did it was nice but took forever. It took him a good 45 mins to an hour just for a gel mani. I appreciate that he took his time, but it wasn't the best job. 3 days later and my one nail is already starting to lift and chip. I came into town to celebrate my little sister and niece's birthdays this month! I wanted to get my nails done as a treat. Mom was interested in this place being that it seemed to be newer and we hadn't been there before. My little sister and mom got pedicures and I got an SNS manicure. We were asked many times when we got in who wanted a manicure and who wanted a pedicure, I probably repeated my self many times! I kept waiting to be told what station to go to! This is a bit disorganized and mismanaged chaos! I am so jealous that my mom and sister's toe nails turned out so beautiful! I was disappointed with how my nails turned out! The lady cleaning my nails kept nicking my cuticles with the mechanical file and made excuses that my hands were dry as a reason for my cuticle now being red and looking like it was a hang nail when clearly that was not what happened! I told her I wanted the Granite (blue/gray SNS color #75. She confirmed and reconfirmed the color was #75 multiple times! Then, I watched the woman put the SNS powder on my nails. After a few dips it did not even look like the color that I had selected! So, I turned the cap of the SNS container over to find out she selected and Iron Ore (dark gray) color!!! I told her she selected the wrong color (though it was also cute, it was not what I wanted nor what I asked for! The going attitude at that point was she wanted to place one more coat on my nails to "top" it off with the right color. I said, this is not the right color and the dark gray color was way to dark to hopefully "dip" or add the lighter color to and turn out correct!M! The lady told me she would fix and I believe so put too much faith into this woman because she did it fix this correctly! She started using the electrical file to file the dark gray/Iron Ore #74 SNS off my nails but did not completely remove all of the color!!!!! She did not bother to remove all the gray or even soak all the color off before dipping the nails in the correct color #75! She filed the color down and left dark gray on my hands and left it blotchy! By this point, I was really annoyed and ticked off! I just wanted to be done at the same time as my family instead of them waiting for me! To be frank, I was completely disappointed the woman did not listen from the get go when she confirmed so many times #75!!! Then took short cuts! I can see the dark color coming through the blue/gray when using regular sunlight or kitchen light to look at my nails! The whole job she did was horrible! The woman even filed my skin and used her tool to attempt to clean off the mess she left on my skin from the multiple dips/colors and top coat! She was not cleanly whatsoever! I am now having to find a way to clean this up myself! On multiple occasions this woman asked me to stop moving my hand....neither my hand nor my thumb were moving! The woman seemed to manhandle my hand. She held my thumb super tight, bending it in an unnatural way, and turned it left and right to work on it! I pulled my hand away and voice my pain! This woman hurt my thumb not on one occasion but many! I pulled my hand away at least 4 times! I have her a warning at least 4 times that she was hurting my thumb (my tendons)!!! She really didn't get that she was hurting me until I pulled my hand away the 1st time but then she kept doing it!!! What the hell did she not understand??? I even told her, I wanted 3 coats to make the nail a bit thicker since my nails are generally weak! When she put 2 on, I asked if she would put a third on and she said "ohhh I thought you didn't want them thick." Seriously? She is not listening to her customers!!! I paid for a gel manicure with 2 hand painted pictures on 2 big toes and 1 SNS! The advertised rate for SNS was $40 (for myself) pedicure was $42 (for my mama). I assume the rate for the gel pedicure was 2 pictures wasn't much more and I ended up paying $107!!! What I paid for . . . . . . at least my service was not worth it! My mom's service was fabulous! Again the lady working with me needs to go back to working on hands on mannequins/dolls until she can clean up her skills and be more gentle with people's hands! I was not impressed! No one even came by to ask how I was doing! Next time, I want a different tech or I will not be back! When asked how was the service at the end, I said "it was okay!" It was not excellent! My mother and sister had great service and mine was horrible! Now you know why I said okay! It would also be nice to offer someone a water, or soda! Im not joking when I say I got an entire gel manicure in 10 minutes. I went in for just a gel polish. They forced me to get a manicure too (even though I didn't need it because I'm a licensed cosmetologist and cleaned up my nails before coming in). This is my third visit to this salon, but my first pedicure. I've previously brought my daughter here for a mani/pedi, and I've had my nails done by Karen. Those experiences were good. My husband and I walked-in for pedicures this past Sunday afternoon, 6/24/18. After a 20 minute'ish wait we were taken back to our chairs. A gentleman who had previously been working on a manicure, approached me, spoke, and prepared to set up for my service. He then disappeared never to return. A woman approached my husband and began his service while I continued to wait with no explanation as to what happened to my service. Eventually, another man who I saw providing a pedicure when I first arrived, approached me, said hello an initiated my pedicure. In general, his demeanor was unpleasant to me. While he was careful in how he used the clippers on my feet, how he manipulated them with his hands was rough, and at times he seemed impatient. He took care in the 'appearance' of my pedicure, but seemed annoyed and sighed throughout my service. As such, I did not feel relaxed or at ease during my pedicure. Additionally, while I don't require a conversation throughout the process, professionalism in your demeanor and an attempt at connecting with your client while making certain they are comfortable is an absolute must for me! On another note, my husband enjoyed his experience from start to finish. While I plan to return for future service, I have no desire to work with him again. To be clear, I believe the owner (Karen) cares about her customers and wants them to enjoy the services (and be pleased with what) they are paying for. This employee simply missed the mark for me. I like the acrylic on the thinner side, and he does such a good job making them look natural that the ladies at work thought they were my own nails instead of acrylics! DO NOT GO HERE! I was excited to try a new salon, but as soon as I went in there was a complete lapse in communication. I kept attempting to explain I wanted a gel manicure and pedicure, but the pedicure second because my sister would be meeting me in a little bit. The owner kept disregarding every single thing I said and pushing me for pedicure first. I stood my ground and eventually they let me do manicure first. When I went to pay I was told it would be $56, $28 for each service. On their website under services it very clearly states "any combination of manicure and pedicure is $4 off" When I brought this up to the very rude owner he explained that gel manicure isn't included. That is odd considering it states ANY combination. Rather than honor what was advertised, I was charged $56. I will never return and I will be certain to share this on all social platforms.
