I'm a business owner so I'm acutely aware of how challenging it could be to serve our public. However, it's what we choose so we have to do our absolute best always. My 4th visit was a disaster. The tech is clearly a novice or simply does not care about quality of work. I had to show him how uneven my nails were after he filed; how misshaped one hand was verses the other; and finally, how to polish the corners on my nails. For context, I have acrylic over my natural nails which are pretty good length. He was rough from the inception but I tried to be nice and give him the benefit of the doubt. I believe I especially did this because I simply didn't want to cause a scene. Often times as a Black woman if you have a legitimate complaint we hesitate because of the immediate labels. I honestly regret not switching techs. At the end of the service (in the light) I see how the polish is bumpy. I shared this with the manager - dismissed! Everyone is their own "business" so she cannot fix it. She wanted me to go back to the same man who had caused this harm and uncomfortableness. The worst part is, I'd brought my friend so that she can get a mani and pedi before her trip to Dubai. What a disappointment for us both! Do better and respect the customers you have and what they do to drive business. We need the service and you need the customers - we're interdependent so stop acting like this and treating people (mostly Black women) poorly. Jenny did a great job on my nails- i came for a fill in (never had it done before as this was only my second time having acrylics and the first time i didnt get them filled). My only issue was i wanted my nails shorter. She asked me if i wanted them cut down, to which i said "yes and if you could reshape them too to coffin shape". She started re-shaping them (and i assumed she would cut them at some point - again I'm a newbie to all this). I eventually realized she wasnt going to cut them so when i asked, she said "i already shaped. I asked you if u wanted to shape" - i just let it go cuz i could tell she didnt wanna go back and cut and shape again, but i didnt appreciate that because she didnt ask me about shaping, she asked me about cutting and I asked her to ALSO shape. Before I sat down . I asked 3 times and showed them the design i wanted . I asked if they can do my nails like the first picture attached . They said yes they can. I usually get my nails done in Florida but this month I didn't go down there and look what they did and they still charged me 80$ after arguing with them that it's not the same and the lengths are uneven, my nails are fat and big . This review is primarily for Felisa. Felisa has been my go to nail tech for the last year and I'm nothing more than grateful for her skill and professionalism. Felisa is very friendly and courteous through every visit I've ever booked. Allure nail salon in general is a pleasure with its cleanliness, complimentary beverages and staff but Felisa is the main reason I keep deciding to come back. She has quick response times when trying to book appointments and is also great with follow ups before the scheduled day of services. Not only is she an amazing nail tech but she's also been great in regards to her waxing services as well (eyebrows). She doesn't rush her services and pays attention to detail to make sure any work she produces is of TOP QUALITY (I've attached some pictures of her work below where I've promoted her on my social media). Allure needs to hire more nail techs like Felisa and as long as she is there I will CERTAINLY continue to come back. read more

What an awful experience. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. The managers daughter did my nails. My gel manicure took 2.5 hours. The daughter did something wrong causing the polish to bubble. My nails had to be done over twice. Not one person apologized about this. The manager had to come and file the gel polish off, another employee came and repolished telling the managers daughter she did it wrong. Not one person apologized. I went to the desk and she tried to charge me $40...then told me the nail gel dryer was defective. The third time it was done correctly using the same dryer. She argued with me, didn't apologize or anything. She rolled her eyes sucked her teeth and walked away with an attitude after all I went through. I do not recommend them at all. Thought I would try again since it's been 2 years. I received my gel manicure and pedicure on 3/26/2021. 3 nails were chipped by 3/29/21. I went back and had them fixed which they did kindly fix for free. By 4/2/2021 - 3 nails are chipped again. I didn't even get a full week after paying 84.00 total. Not upon my arrival after driving 45 minutes no alternative was offered no solution was suggested I was simply told I cannot be service after making an appointment with a specific nail tech I do not recommend this location and I will not be patron in this business any further. Customer Service is a zero. Nail techs are mediocre to say the least. I was told that I was too particular, when all I wanted was a simple, clean overlay. The nail techs are rude and do not understand enough to execute. She would push at my hands, iykyk I would push back slightly to show NOT to do that. This visit started out bad. When I arrived I asked for my friend and I to sit together pretty common at nail salon's. They immediately said no without explanation trying to cut the conversation off and directed me towards a chair. I stopped and asked why and was told because they work on next available basis. Okay cool. So I asked Can I wait for two to come available? They said no again with an attitude. I explained we live a ways apart and came to get our nails done somewhere in the middle. They again said no while two nail techs were doing each other's nails. Very nice. So we decided we would just get them done because we were there and it was getting around 5 pm and would start getting very busy at other salons. So they then clearly out of spite sat her on the other side of the building and I couldn't even see her. My nail tech seemed to rush and then when she finished it looked just okay. I went up to pay and it was $50 and cash tips only. Would have been good to know since when I walked in there way a lady checking out blocking the sign saying cash tips only. I luckily had some cash to tip them on. I get home Friday, start folding a shirt out of the laundry and my middle finger on my right hand just cracks. Nothing strenuous was being done. Saturday I didn't feel well and stayed in bed all day more nails chipped. Unbelievable. There are also several cracked nails barely hanging on. At this time I can't even find one that isn't cracked. My right middle finger cracked while typing at work this morning. I can't believe it. I won't be going back even to get them redone because the service was so poor the first I doubt the the redo will be better. When what you asked for vs what you got goes sooooo left I presented a picture of a mani pedi combo and both men did not understand this simple assignment. I got a gift card for Mother's Day. I was excited for a pedicure. I came. On a Wednesday. I checked in at 6:30pm. There were a few people front of me. I waited and waited. I noticed people who checked in after me got to go before me. I asked the front desk around 7:15 asking how long the wait will be. They told me "10 minutes". By 7:47pm I gave up. All I got was "sorry". I left the store without a pedicure because people after me got called (and I checked. Only 2 had appointments while the rest didn't). However, Anna has done my nails a few times and I decided to book with her an appointment because I'm in my brother in laws wedding tomorrow. Yelpers, if you want your nails done right, you need to go here. This place is clean, friendly, and efficient. Their services are priced pretty much the same as anywhere else in the area, so there's nothing to compare in that aspect. It's right around the corner from my house so I couldn't have been luckier to have such a nice place. I don't know what all the negative reviews are about because I definitely am glad I took a chance and came here. I was sold on amount of SNS colors they had based on another reviewer. I walked in Saturday morning right when they opened, with no appointment, and was greeted by Sonny. He asked what I wanted (SNS) and immediately sat me in a chair with Kaylee. I discovered Felisa on Instagram and sent her a DM asking where she worked. Her work is super impressive and she's so young. 1. Her talent is amazing for her to be so young, so you know she's only going to get better and 2. She's hip to nail trends and makes sure your nails are always together. I have held out on writing this review because I was being selfish, but she has blown up from Instagram. She is pretty much appointment only and gets booked pretty quickly, so you'll be lucky if she can accept you as a walk-in. I make 2-3 appointments for the next 1.5 month ahead of time! Felisa is a beast at making sure your nail shape is on point, colors are evenly applied, ombres are seamless, designs are popping, and she is pretty quick too! Make an appointment with Felisa. Horrible mistake coffin shape is even worse and also my gel polish chipped that same night. She even had the nerve to laugh and tell me she doesn't know what shape that is after she did it! She also tells me I need to get a full set for square to come out nice, lmao never in all of my years has a tech had trouble shaping my nails square because it wasn't a new set.
