Rude.... just rude buying a diamond is stressful enough but when add a smart ass trying to sell me a crappy diamond and than having the audacity to tell me he doesn't want my business that could make the process damn near miserable. The gentleman (didn't bother to get his name and I use that term loosely) asked me what I am looking for, I proceeded to tell him what I liked being very specific and began to mock me as if I can't afford what I want. He showed me a preset ring from a grading company I never heard of and than showed another diamond which was in the realm of what I wanted but priced way to high. As soon as I commented on the price he said specifically than you need to go somewhere else. You want ppl to spend thousands of dollars in your establishment but you treat potential customers like they are dispensable? The diamond district is not a place you would want to turn away business. Very happy repeat customer! My family and I made an appointment to visit Allure Diamonds on a Sunday. They are typically not open on Sundays but will open if you call and ask. We were looking for an engagement ring and they took the time to educate us and brought out multiple diamonds so we could see the differences. There was no pressure to buy, they respected our budget, and offered many options within it. We left with a high quality beautiful custom engagement ring, as well as earrings and a necklace! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his brother when I came in to get my ring resized and I have to say they are a pleasure to work with. Customer Service at its best. This place is a GEM! I totally agree with Marc - the guys here are incredible. They worked with my fiance extensively (and patiently!) to create an engagement ring for me that is truly breathtaking. And then they did they same thing with me in designing a wedding band. Don't let the address fool you. While it's in the diamond district, this place is a far cry from what you will experience in the other diamond stores in the vicinity. They are true professionals - no pressure or attitude whatsoever. They are honest, solid guys who will work with you and take care of you and make sure you feel comfortable the whole time. Our experiences with Allure have been nothing but great. My husband first went to them to get my engagement ring. They were amazingly patient with him as he asked endless questions and for hours debated what cut, clarity, size, etc he should buy. In the end, they recommended a gorgeous ring that was perfect for us. When my husband asked if he should go bigger (and more expensive), they very honestly told him that he could but that the diamond he was holding was actually a much more beautiful diamond. We were so happy with them that we subsequently went back for our wedding bands as well as a pair of diamond stud earrings. Their service after the purchase has been impeccable as well. After bending my ring so badly that it was permanently stuck on my finger, they spent over an hour with me cutting it off my finger.
