Tap pay works with credit cards. There is a Phillips 66 gas station available. Parking is free with plenty of space out front or on the sides. Maybe someday soon I'll get up the courage to try their Laredo Taco Company which is inside all Stripes stores...

At the register they are friendly and fast. I'm usually here to pick up a case of beer or lotto scratchers for my kids when they make good grades. Oh, and their 10-lb. bags of ice. The last one I got was under $2.50. Also, this is the cheapest gas on this side of town. The lowest I've seen it within about a year's time was back in December 2022 at $2.98 per unleaded gallon. The self-serve Alon gas station itself is fairly large. Diesel is available in both the car area plus there is a separate area for big rigs. Nearby is a decent park called Del Norte Park with a dog park on the east side. I said decent. It's gone downhill a bit, but I still walk my brother's dog there. Also next door is a car wash with self-serve stations, two drive-thru automatic stations, and a dog wash area. There really needs to be more cross walks in this area for the influx of pedestrians. So be careful of jaywalkers!

The gas station by Alon has several pumps with a separate diesel area for the bigger rigs. It's well-lit at night. The staff members on July 28, 2024, were friendly and working hard. Easy to get in and out of with trailers in tow. Fuel prices that day: Unleaded (87 octane) = $3.04 Unleaded Plus (89 octane) = $3.34 Super Unleaded (91 octane) = $3.64

He smarted off and said, they are all being used. 5 min later, slowing moving employee came out and started cleaning the showers from previous users. After he cleaned 3, he hit some buttons and my number was called. The showers were not being used. They were just not worried about cleaning them and keeping the line moving. Poor customer service

This is a rather desolate part of the country so there's no shade in the lot and there's not much to be done about that. The store is clean and tidy. The restrooms were quite well cared for. This was the mid 1990s. She was distraught. In tears. I'll never forget it. My dad was calm & reassuring her everything would be okay. Her purse was stolen out of the car with my grade school brothers sitting in the back seat while she was inside paying. My mom never saw the guy. My brothers said they didn't know what to do. The guy smiled at them & just grabbed her purse then was gone. They remembered her had really bad teeth. He took all kinds of stuff that day. Not just credit cards, check book & cash. Address book. Photos. Other items. It was the Mary Poppins bag of purses, of course. So this place still gives me the creeps. Weirdos still hang out here - just like every where else. But the worst thing is this parking lot. It's a tight fit. Many jay walkers in this area too. Another reason I dislike this station even as it is convenient for my daily errands.

The prices are very competitive with the Allsup's just south of here on the same side of the road. The pumps could use some updating with the card system. That's my only main complaint. Otherwise the pumps have been fast for me. While this location is convenient for folks heading to and coming back from West Texas, it leaves a bit to be desired. Phillips 66 gas station is tied to the shop. The pumps are slow and fuel is usually overpriced, compared to their competition across the street at Allsups. For unleaded it was $3.40 per gallon. One pump was out on 5/13/2024. The outdoor trash cans available to patrons are not enclosed. The hot food items always look stale and overcooked. It frightens me. Lol. Service is a bit slow and too chatty Patty for my liking here when I just want in and out. If you're loyal to Stripes, there are better locations in Hobbs America.

At one area they have gasoline pumps & a short distance away are the diesel pumps with moderate space for big rigs. Fuel prices as of 7/26/2024: Regular Unleaded Octane 84 = $3.20 Extra Unleaded Octane 89 = $3.50 Supreme Unleaded Octane 91 = $3.80 I didn't have to deal with any employees that day but there is an office building with some sort of dock to the east. During working hours, there is someone from whom to flag down and buy propane.
