A hospitable young lady took my takeout order and apologized that they didn't have any crackers after all. Then she offered me a roll. I politely accepted. She brought me back two in a styrofoam container! While the dumplings were the unperfect small doughy lumps I wanted, the chicken was a very dim presence of only a few shreds. There were pieces of carrots, celery, and an odd addition of a slice of cucumber. At least I don't remember adding cucumber to my dumplings... Looks like a nice place for a family meal. They seem to accommodate large groups fairly easily. The parking lot is a disaster. Case in point: It's mostly gravel. No lines or clear designated spots. So I parked behind a row of cars. By the time I got out another frickin' car parked behind me! I was cussing and mumbling as I approached. A guy who was headed into the cafe started to help guide me, but then he saw how easy it was to maneuver my Jeep out of tight spaces. It's a reasonably sized patriotic diner on the side side of the alien-themed town. But the service on November 29, 2025, was wonderful. Very down-to-earth. I popped in to get a table for 5. I warned the first waitress I had that my company would be much later and I could wait elsewhere if necessary. She wouldn't have it. She asked what I was drinking and brought out an orange juice to me promptly. I had great conversation with her afterwards. Once my party finally arrived, my waitress's shift was over so we switched to a younger much less experienced girl, but she was still fine to me. My ex was less impressed and proceeded to speak negatively about the "people of Roswell," but I'll keep it positive... at least he paid for lunch. Their prices range from $4-$13 per item. Recently Ms. Becky of Salty Frog (a boutique and gift shop) announced on social media that Juice Wrld would be a permanent fixture in front of her shop. Shout out to the amazing Becky! After science camp, I took my oldest daughter. We both tried a bowl ($12 each). She opted for match as her base, granola and chia seeds for toppings, strawberry and kiwi, and honey drizzle. It was good, but the matcha is not really all that sweet. My bowl went like this: coconut base, chia seeds and white chocolate chips, pineapple and raspberries - all drizzled in agave. This was super yummy and much sweeter than hers! Cash is accepted.
