If you're going to borrow, or more accurately, blatantly imitate the branding of a multi-billion-dollar coffee company, the least you could do is match the quality of their product. My wife and I have stopped in twice, at different times while passing through town, and both visits were consistently disappointing. I'm honestly not sure which felt worse: the coffee itself or the odd experience of patronizing a shop that keeps a Bible prominently displayed on the counter, I'm guessing Mennonite while operating a business model that openly contradicts the very values that book teaches. Build your own brand and be proud of it. Stealing someone else's brand identity is unethical, dishonest, and illegal.

Unlike the bigger Grimes location, however, this is a simpler, faster version. This Undergrounds features two drive-thru windows parallel to Dal Paso Street, so no matter which direction you're headed you can easily choose the shorter line and still be able to continue on the same path just as smoothly. During the holidays, I thoroughly enjoyed my "Log Cabin" latte while my kiddos sipped their small hot cocoas on a road trip to Texas. Prior to that, I enjoyed the slight sweetness of a 16-oz. hot pumpkin spice latte for $4.75 (10/4/2022). The employees are usually friendly & efficient, never pressing you to add a tip if you pay by card. That's why I suggest to bring cash. Located in front of the JC Penney at the Broadmoor mall, this drive-thru only venue offers the classic and original hot or iced lattes, smoothies, shakes, lemonades, teas, energy chillers and fizz drinks. Today, 8.14.2025 I mistakenly thought they were open completely for business. I was immediately greeted by a very pleasant young lady who explained I currently had two small hot or iced options only, but they were free! This was their practice run. :) While she was explaining more of what was to come with a menu she handed me, an equally friendly guy - perhaps the owner or manager on duty - brought me two packaged rubber ducks because he "noticed I was a Jeep that collected" them. Thanks again! My daughters really will think it's the coolest thing. My iced vanilla latte was on point. Creamy with rich notes of a robust coffee. The "Dreamsicle" ($6.73 for a 32 oz. with coconut milk) was good. All of their drinks come with lots of ice. Maybe a little too much. My favorite so far has been the "Gamma Radiation" (32 oz. $5.83). If I'm not mistaken, this is Hobbs' first chocolatier. They had so many delightful chocolate covered items - from nuts to jalapenos. My daughters were dying to try ice cream and stuck to their flavors. The youngest had two scoops in a cup of Krazy Kolors. Bold colors of red, blue, and yellow, but it tasted like plain vanilla to me. Lol. The oldest had two scoops of Cookie Two Step, which was chocolate chip cookie dough. Very cream. Large chunks of chocolate. The decent-sized cold mounds were served in small plastic ball caps both for $12.14.
