Starbucks in Hobbs, NM, was a terrible choice. Not just because I'm not a fan of the company in general. No, I gave them an honest chance on 11/16/2023... Their drive-thru moved like honey at around 10AM. If the parking lot wasn't such a tight fit with no real in and out lanes, I would have baled 10 minutes in. I mean I drive a Jeep and could have been a total douche, but I resisted the temptation to offroad on public property. I digress... Learned my lesson with a very bland Reduced-Fat Turkey Bacon & Cage Free Egg White Sandwich. My Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha was okay if not a little too sweet. I wish I had opted for an extra espresso shot. Service was friendly at the window. Handed me an empty cup then said, and before I could say, "Um," the guy said, "There's your holiday cup." Oh, that. I'll give that to a Starbucks lover soon if I find one. This place just ain't my jive or my java. read more

Worst Starbucks I've ever been to. The drinks are NOT made correctly. Any other Starbucks would know how to make the drinks right. For example I ordered a matcha iced latte, and they did not mix it properly or put ice in properly. The drink tasted like milk with ice floating at the top making only the top of the drink cold. And the bottom of the drink was warm. The service is awful, bunch of teenagers that don't know how to actually work for their part-time. I get it you're young. But even when I was young I treated my part-time seriously. Management needs to fire all the workers and hire new ones that will make this Starbucks worth going to. Very sad for all the people in Hobbs who are forced to go to this Starbucks because it's the closest in proximity to them. read more

I was that person this morning driving through town to go to work at 4:30am. We don't have a Starbucks in my town so to say I was excited was an understatement. I got to Starbucks at 4:20am just to make sure I didn't have to wait long. I hate being that person waiting outside for a company to open, but hey! I was excited! 4:31am rolls around and nothing, I know these girls see me out here so ya, I'm going to pull up to the window, I have to be at work. Lady comes up to the window with an attitude, we aren't open. Mmm, I thought y'all opened at 4:30am, and before I could say anything else she said, ya we are running behind and won't open till 5:30am!!!! Listen I know it's early and trust when I say I don't want to be rolling up to your nasty attitude that early either!!!!!! I come from out of town and I was so excited to have that great experience I am normally met with, but no. I get that to start my day! You don't know what people are going through, so to be greeted with that first thing is very upsetting. Do better!!! read more

The place is H O R R I B L E! We drove by and saw that there were only three cars in the drive thru, so we decided it would be quicker then getting off and going inside. We ordered a tall iced green tea latte with soymilk and we knew we wanted the cloud macchiato because it is a new fave. Placed our orders and so we sat and waited. We waited and waited. By the time we got to the window 30 minutes had gone by! Wait whaaaat? Yes 30 fricken minutes!! Never had I ever waited in a drive thru for 30 minutes for two drinks.. Got to the window, paid, and we drove off. We took a zippo and our drinks tasted like SH*T!! They didn't even taste remotely as to what they usually taste like anywhere else. Ughhhh. Heads up, as of 10/18/20 hours have changed to Monday thru Friday from 8am - 6pm. This location is constantly changing their hours, but the baristas are always sweet and the drinks are usually made right, however we need some consistency. It's the only drive-thru starbucks in town unless you walk into Albertsons (not sure of their hours) or hike up to Artesia, Roswell or Lubbock. read more

The fraps were ok, tasty and cold. The pastries were cellophane wrapped with the character of a 50 year old twinkies. I found a local establishment with character, excellent products and friendly people. I recommend going there. read more

This has to be the worst Starbucks in America. I'm a recent L.A. transplant, and I've been to Starbucks everywhere. They screw up my drink every time, and get ready for it, it's a English breakfast tea. Literally, tea bag in hot water and it blows their mind. If I have them add milk for me, I get a latte. And they never know what to charge, it ranges from $2.86 to almost $5.00. If you try and correct them, you're met with the worst customer service skills you have ever experienced. Added "bonus", it's the dirtiest Starbucks I've ever seen. A couple of days ago there were ants crawling up and down the back of the espresso machines and flies were all over the ends of the chocolate and caramel syrup bottles. EWWWWWW. Think about that the next time you order your caramel frappacinno thingy. Interesting to note, the Starbucks inside Albertson's is not bewildered by my tea drink, they get my order right, charge me accordingly, and are polite to boot. In Hobbs for a graduation and was excited to see a Starbucks finally made an appearance here. However the customer service was horrible. Lady at the window was short with me and didn't even look at me when handing me my coffees. All I got was "there you go" and the window closes. So disappointing and I gave it two stars just because the coffee was at least good. read more

Heads-up to travelers or those expecting internet access: Ads on tables for wi-fi, but when asked about it, staff had no idea how to access. When asked to see if any another employee could help, staff said no. I ordered a Matcha Green Tea Creme Frappuccino, and it was delicious. Though, the customer service could use some work. There were at least four workers and only one appeared to actually be working. The person who took our order was very polite, but the person who made our drinks could use a lesson in proper manners. Drinks were good, but it took way too long to get them. 15-20 minutes to get two drinks. Store was dirty with straws wrappers laying around and the counter was sticky from spilled drinks. One of our drinks had liquid on the lid and down the side. I had to wipe it down before I picked it up. Barista saw me and ignored the fact he served me a messy cup. I have order a cinnamon dolce latte a couple of times at this Starbucks and every single time it's all foam!! I know lattes have foam on top but I order a grande and half my cup is all foam! I'll go one better than Toby W. and unequivocally state it's the worst Starbucks I've been to--and I've been to at least 100 in the U.S. and overseas. Today was the second time I've written the HQ regarding employee service/performance at this location. Go to Hastings for your caffeine fix. It's a bit out of the way and pricier, but at least you'll get what you ordered. read more
