Starbucks - Mango Strawberry Energy Refresher

Starbucks in Hobbs, NM, was a terrible choice…read more Not just because I'm not a fan of the company in general. No, I gave them an honest chance on 11/16/2023... Their drive-thru moved like honey at around 10AM. If the parking lot wasn't such a tight fit with no real in and out lanes, I would have baled 10 minutes in. I mean I drive a Jeep and could have been a total douche, but I resisted the temptation to offroad on public property. I digress... Learned my lesson with a very bland Reduced-Fat Turkey Bacon & Cage Free Egg White Sandwich. My Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha was okay if not a little too sweet. I wish I had opted for an extra espresso shot. Service was friendly at the window. Handed me an empty cup then said, and before I could say, "Um," the guy said, "There's your holiday cup." Oh, that. I'll give that to a Starbucks lover soon if I find one. This place just ain't my jive or my java.

For example I ordered a matcha iced latte, and they did not mix it properly or put ice in properly. The drink tasted like milk with ice floating at the top making only the top of the drink cold. And the bottom of the drink was warm. The service is awful, bunch of teenagers that don't know how to actually work for their part-time. I get it you're young. But even when I was young I treated my part-time seriously. Management needs to fire all the workers and hire new ones that will make this Starbucks worth going to. Very sad for all the people in Hobbs who are forced to go to this Starbucks because it's the closest in proximity to them.

They have had a food truck set up mostly on the Lovington Highway for well over a year now. I'm so excited that they established deeper roots in Hobbs, NM. I knew right away that I needed coffee & had just seen on Instagram that they had a limited time "fresh pumpkin brown sugar" latte. I ordered a 24 ounce iced version of this homemade concoction ($6.25). Its creaminess was luscious without being overly sweet. My medium club salad ($9) was really good. I just didn't like the bacon that tasted like & looked exactly like the microwavable stuff. The decor was super posh. The gender neutral restroom was clean. The owner was as nice as I remember her from a year ago. She stated that their grand opening will be soon, but further details weren't available. It will be Saturday, October 7, 2023 @ 11AM. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. TIP Don't forget to ask for a loyalty punch card if they don't offer one to you. Ladies... here's some grown a$$ woman advice: Don't talk sh!t about your man to "your girls" at the cafe. Y'all sound pathetic & immature when you talk about how "he wanted to talk to me as soon as I got outta the shower... ugh, he gets on my nerves." And at the risk of being hypocritical, please remove the expletives or at least lower your voice. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 5 | Price: 3

My husband ordered a sugar-free blended mocha; I ordered a sugar-free strawberry banana smoothie. Then we asked McKenzie for her recommendation for our son. She described prickly pear and made him a desert pear lemonade. All of our items were good! Service was amazing, and the entire Cafe was inviting with the colorscape and decor. So, good job to Natalie (the owner).

I bumped my rating up to 4 stars because I've heard their energy teas are fantastic. RATING BREAKDOWN | Drinks: 3 | Service: 4 | Location/Ambiance: 3 | Price: 3 | PARKING There's ample parking at the Dal Paso Center. They also offer delivery. LOCATION/AMBIANCE Currently they are located to the left when you walk inside Cherry Berry. They are working on a possible drive-thru location. THE GRUB From the Holiday menu, I tried their Peppermint Bark Latte ($6) on 12/8/22. It was the weakest coffee I've ever had and tasted nothing like peppermint bark. Not very sweet with a slight aftertaste. From their January 2023 menu tried the white chocolate mocha latte ($7.10 cash not including tip). Again, their coffee is on the weaker side. Also again, not very sweet with a slight aftertaste. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB No kid's menu to my recollection. I'll keep you posted on how my kiddos like the pickle lemonade. SERVICE Was a bit indifferent on 12/8/22. I later found out she was not feeling good the following day or so. Service was much nicer on 1/31/2023. MY FAVORITE PART... Supporting a local business. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The aftertaste from their lattes & the high prices. Over a half hour for a $3.75 hot 16 oz. caramel macchiato (10/31/20)? The staff is super sweet. I suppose it's because I am catching up with Season 4 of Netflix's The Crown that I am likening the overall feels of this coffee shop to the relationship between Prince Charles and Princess Diana (RIP). On one hand you love it because the product is what your buying. You want good coffee after a long night of drinking with your brothers and their families. On the other you hate it because you feel as though their looks were deceiving... that underneath the cute writing on the menu and the idea of not one but two drive-thru lanes makes it seem they've got their act together when in reality they were as conflicted as the above-said members of the royal family. This being said, I would go here over a half-heartedly made Starbucks (in which there is a location in Hobbs) drink every single time.

The drive thru was busy when we arrived but they have two different lanes open so the lines move pretty fast. We were about the third car in line when we saw the employee run over to us to get our order. We told her it was our first time in and that we needed to see the menu first. She stood there though waiting for us to just order something. The menu is posted at the front by the window so we had no idea what to get. I then quickly looked up their Instagram and we went with a coconut red bull drink, a coconut infused water with fruit, and a plum loco red bull. We paid a little more for their plastic logo cups. She took our orders and went on to the next car. We got to the window and we were told they didnt make one of the drinks we had ordered. We were okay with that, and had already driven past the menu to see what else we could get. We ended up just paying for two drinks and skipping on the third. The drinks were watered down and I couldn't even taste the red bull in mine. The drinks had more ice in them, then they do the actual drink. The prices were cheap but my drink sadly tasted like water with a tiny dab of sugar... unfortunately this place was a no.

This is an awesome drinks-only addition for Hobbs, NM. Located in front of the JC Penney at the Broadmoor mall, this drive-thru only venue offers the classic and original hot or iced lattes, smoothies, shakes, lemonades, teas, energy chillers and fizz drinks. Today, 8.14.2025 I mistakenly thought they were open completely for business. I was immediately greeted by a very pleasant young lady who explained I currently had two small hot or iced options only, but they were free! This was their practice run. :) While she was explaining more of what was to come with a menu she handed me, an equally friendly guy - perhaps the owner or manager on duty - brought me two packaged rubber ducks because he "noticed I was a Jeep that collected" them. Thanks again! My daughters really will think it's the coolest thing. My iced vanilla latte was on point. Creamy with rich notes of a robust coffee. I can't wait to come back on Monday or a later date when they have their full menu up and running. I'm eyeing the wildberry smoothie or the Ocean Breeze Sunrise chiller. I'm definitely on board with this "cultivating kindness" motto 7 Brew has. This is only the second location I've been to. I'm a fan. It must be a Hobbs thing that people have this insatiable need to pack like a rat & stuff into corners & on tops of tables. Lol. But seriously it's very distracting & unwelcoming. Their drinks - while good - are a bit on the small side for the price. My two young daughters and I all ordered regular sizes then later tried each other's concoctions. I thoroughly enjoyed my Green Apple Fruit Tea ($5.65) at 75% sweetness & regular ice. I failed to remember that grass jelly would probably go well with this and the youngster at the counter wasn't particularly helpful in suggesting that. My oldest got the most expensive drink. Naturally. Lol. Her taro milk tea with regular boba was good ($6.10). The boba here seems small, though. My youngest probably got the best drink: the Brown Sugar Avalance ($5.85) with fresh milk, boba, & grass jelly. It was sweet, but not overbearingly so. The drinks came out within about 5 minutes and that was even after a larger order just ahead of us. There is ample, free parking in the relatively new Navajo East Plaza. (It's across the street from Ashley Furniture and the Habitat for Humanity.) Inside there were stuffed boba creatures and other Asian-inspired toys. There were a couple of dollar claw machines... you're warned especially if you have little ones! :) Order at the counter. Pay. Remember your number because they don't give out receipts - not to me and the other before and after me anyway. Pick up on the adjacent counter from the register. Recommended as a once in a while treat. Would definitely get the larger size for me personally next time. According to their front door, they are open daily from 11AM-9PM. Hooray!
