Today I went to this restaurant with my sisters, everything was looking good when I drank some of my boba tea and I felt something hard in my mouth, it was hard to recognize, it was harder than a boba, i got scared and spit it, I looked at it for a few seconds and I saw an insect, we told the employees, they didn't know what to do, it was disgusting and gross. Here some pictures of the insect and of the drink.

Holy Sheep Tea & Boba Studio is the newest of its kind in Hobbs, NM…read more When we walked in for our first visit on 7/25/2023 it was super cute for social media feeds, but already cluttered. It must be a Hobbs thing that people have this insatiable need to pack like a rat & stuff into corners & on tops of tables. Lol. But seriously it's very distracting & unwelcoming. Their drinks - while good - are a bit on the small side for the price. My two young daughters and I all ordered regular sizes then later tried each other's concoctions. I thoroughly enjoyed my Green Apple Fruit Tea ($5.65) at 75% sweetness & regular ice. I failed to remember that grass jelly would probably go well with this and the youngster at the counter wasn't particularly helpful in suggesting that. My oldest got the most expensive drink. Naturally. Lol. Her taro milk tea with regular boba was good ($6.10). The boba here seems small, though. My youngest probably got the best drink: the Brown Sugar Avalance ($5.85) with fresh milk, boba, & grass jelly. It was sweet, but not overbearingly so. The drinks came out within about 5 minutes and that was even after a larger order just ahead of us. There is ample, free parking in the relatively new Navajo East Plaza. (It's across the street from Ashley Furniture and the Habitat for Humanity.) Inside there were stuffed boba creatures and other Asian-inspired toys. There were a couple of dollar claw machines... you're warned especially if you have little ones! :) Order at the counter. Pay. Remember your number because they don't give out receipts - not to me and the other before and after me anyway. Pick up on the adjacent counter from the register. Recommended as a once in a while treat. Would definitely get the larger size for me personally next time. According to their front door, they are open daily from 11AM-9PM. Hooray!

Too many girls behind the counter, chitchatting & not approaching us in a professional manner. There are to many things going on , almost like a museum. And they had a hard time making our drinks, which by the way was not good at all. If you want a great boba drink go somewhere else. They might treat you better & provide you with a great customer service experience.

But Lubbock? Not a chance. So, I was absolutely delighted when when Teapioca opened, not only in Lubbock, but by my house! I love having access to boba tea, with the small town feel Lubbock is known for. The owners are almost always on-site and obviously care about product and service. Today, I asked for boba and a half-meaning what normally comes in the drink, plus about half a scoop more, vs. a whole. The employee had to think about it-but was determined to accommodate, even after I said if it was too hard, not to worry. Then, the owner happened to pass and mentioned that Crumbl had just brought them free cookies and she wanted to pay it forward, so she called it the "manager's special" and deducted it. There's nothing better than a business that really cares! That's why I'm a loyal customer. Thank you, Teapioca! LBK loves you!

It made me really uncomfortable. We were out the door by 9:00, so it's not like we were holding them up. If you're going to take orders that close to closing, there's no reason to treat customers like that. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional.

RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4 PARKING Free street parking is available. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This small shop is located at the end of plaza near the northwest corner of Turner and Broadways Streets. There are a couple of great fashion boutiques (Il Cicerone & Dani Kai) next door I suggest you check out too. THE GRUB I posted their current menu to Yelp, but they seem to rotate other items because their Instagram displays other treats almost weekly. Also, when I entered this business into Yelp, I put it as a dessert shop and somehow "bubble tea" made it to their type of business, but they don't sell that. Lol. Lemonade $6.00 Syrup $1.00 Avocado Toast $6.00 Oreo Pop x 2 $5.00 Parfait $5.00 Right before we left, one of the young ladies told me to sample a pretzel. My two daughters and I somehow managed to share it. Fun treat, but my girls definitely preferred their Oreo pops. Lol. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB Kid sizes are not available. SERVICE Very nice & welcoming on our first visit ever on 2/8/2023. They got the avocado toast out for my daughter as fast as they could, but not without first asking her if she wanted everything on it (tomatoes, seasoning, etc.). MY FAVORITE PART... Everything we ordered was great, but their parfait was my go-to snack - healthy & delicious! Their Valentine backdrop in the window was also cute! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... I didn't have time to try everything, but it's definitely on my list for the future!

*** super cute, brand new ice cream & candy shop in Hobbs ***…read more What's the Scoop Ice Cream Shop is a brand new more than just ice cream located in the plaza near Albertson's Market. They also have homemade fudge, candy, gourmet candy apples, and chocolate-covered confections. It's a tight fit inside, so there isn't space to eat your frozen treat. Best plan to get it on the run! If I'm not mistaken, this is Hobbs' first chocolatier. They had so many delightful chocolate covered items - from nuts to jalapenos. My daughters were dying to try ice cream and stuck to their flavors. The youngest had two scoops in a cup of Krazy Kolors. Bold colors of red, blue, and yellow, but it tasted like plain vanilla to me. Lol. The oldest had two scoops of Cookie Two Step, which was chocolate chip cookie dough. Very cream. Large chunks of chocolate. The decent-sized cold mounds were served in small plastic ball caps both for $12.14. I've never seen the ice cream flavor "banana puddin'" so I'm definitely trying that next time! Cash or cards accepted. SUGGESTION TO OWNER Please post prices. TIP Closed Monday.
