Prices per gallon as of 3.20.2025: Diesel = $3.35 Regular unleaded = $2.90 Plus = $3.30 Premium = $3.70 Big rigs are welcome. Pumps are to the side and around back. And because I was super curious about the shop side, I walked out with Brownsboro blueberry green tea by Texas Tea ($2.69) and a small pack of Sahale's pomegranate vanilla flavored cashews ($2.59). At the register they are friendly and fast. I'm usually here to pick up a case of beer or lotto scratchers for my kids when they make good grades. Oh, and their 10-lb. bags of ice. The last one I got was under $2.50. Also, this is the cheapest gas on this side of town. The lowest I've seen it within about a year's time was back in December 2022 at $2.98 per unleaded gallon. The self-serve Alon gas station itself is fairly large. Diesel is available in both the car area plus there is a separate area for big rigs. Nearby is a decent park called Del Norte Park with a dog park on the east side. I said decent. It's gone downhill a bit, but I still walk my brother's dog there. Also next door is a car wash with self-serve stations, two drive-thru automatic stations, and a dog wash area. There really needs to be more cross walks in this area for the influx of pedestrians. So be careful of jaywalkers!

The gas station by Alon has several pumps with a separate diesel area for the bigger rigs. It's well-lit at night. The staff members on July 28, 2024, were friendly and working hard. Easy to get in and out of with trailers in tow. Fuel prices that day: Unleaded (87 octane) = $3.04 Unleaded Plus (89 octane) = $3.34 Super Unleaded (91 octane) = $3.64

I stopped by on Sunday morning, October 20, 2024, after checking on my brother's dogs because I needed a hock of ham. The staff members were friendly but only spoke to me after I initiated conversation. Sadly, they didn't have any hocks for my simmering pinto beans. I'm still not certain the guy behind the counter knew what I was inquiring. Lol. The place is brand new. Offers menudo on the weekends. Sells groceries including fresh veggies. The meats looked good. The only issue I had was with the Pine-sol-like smell fumigating my nostril hairs as soon as I walked in. Had I known they were mopping at that hour, I wouldn't have went in. Ample parking spots in a shared plaza lot.

This location is highly popular because of its vicinity to a few major places in Hobbs, NM: Covenant Hospital, the CORE (an indoor recreational center), Lea County Event Center, and New Mexico Junior College. I stopped here to fill up my brother's diesel truck on 8/25/2023. I am knocking off a star because one of the pumps was not taking my credit card - or other motorists after me as I later noticed while the truck guzzled so. Much. Diesel. Oi! Phillips 66 diesel was $4.19 per gallon like all the other stations in town. Dang it. It's a mostly clean, well-lit station at nighttime. I drive by a lot. Happy safe travels, Yelpers!

This isn't a huge convenience shop, but it's not tiny either. Usually when I have to go in here, it's for a bag of ice or a beer run. No issues for me thus far. It's well-lit at night. Organized. Mostly clean. Well-stocked as of December 2022. Phillips 66 gasoline is also sold here. TIP + Stocking stuffers are sold here: candy, lotto tickets & scratchers, vinyl stickers, & more.

On August 11, 2023, was the first time I had ever stopped to get fuel at this station. I never realized there was a small convenience store attached. An attendant came out to check on the fuel pump next to me. One of the pumps was out. Here were the prices per gallon that mid-morning: Unleaded = $3.64 Unleaded Plus = $3. 94 Super Unleaded = $4.24 Diesel = $3.96 Easy place to get in and out of even for larger vehicles, but it maybe a little harder if towing a trailer. Tighter fit. Straight across from Walmart. Wells Fargo ATM with a super stupid small drive-thru even for a Jeep. Several eateries in the vicinity including Rosa's Cafe next door. TIP Members save up to 10¢ per gallon* on fuel purchases with Walmart+ at Murphy USA and Murphy Express locations. I'm not a member, though. I used an major credit card.

Not much has changed at this smal town JCPenney since I was little…read more I found a couple of athletic hoodies for my elementary level kiddos, but just browsing through the women's section there was not anything for my taste. It was mainly geared towards older women. I know I'm supposedly "high risk" according to my OB/GYN, but dang I'm not ready to be these clothes old. The whole store from the outside to the mannequins (see my photo from 11/15/2023) is worn out. Literally! The sweate on said mannequin was falling off and had holes and tear in it! The employees and the security guard seemed nice. I'm glad the hoodies were discounted at 35% off the original price because it wouldn't be worth it to me otherwise. I'm shocked this is the Hobbs' sore, I mean, store.

It is with great concern for your business that I bring this customer complaint to your organization, as it seems that your Department Store Supervision (Denise Woods, Supervisor during my ordeal 11/22/15 6:05 PM) has no problem with showing an utter lack of concern for customer service or resolution as a tactic to ward off customer complaints. I entered the above JC Penney location maybe 15-20 minutes before closing. My wife and I continued shopping without noticing that the store had closed. My wife had about $60.00 of merchandise chosen for purchase. On two occasions I had different employees tell us in a rude manner that the store had closed (10 mins after closing). On the first occasion the employee stated, "we may not 'even' be able to pay for our purchases" (I believe hinting that we should leave the items and vacate the store). On the second occasion an employee felt the need to eavesdrop the conversation my wife and I were having about the ordeal as we walked up to the registers and felt the need to interject a reiteration of the store's closing time. Unbelieveable! I still went ahead and made the purchase but brought up my concerns. The cashiers showed very little concern for my plight, but I made the purchase anyway. The "straw" of the whole situation was that upon trying to exit the store, the doors were locked and not one of the six employees on the store floor came to help me until I asked for the manager. Well, the manager came up to the store-front with the key. I tried to bring up my concern about my treatment in the store and her response was to open the front door and reiterate the stores hours and the fact that they are posted at the front entrance. By this point I was so upset by the continued mistreatment from the staff, which included the management that I asked if I could return my items. Without blinking an eye, the manager ordered one of her employees to execute the transaction, which left me in awe of the customer service strategy I was just witnessing-save face by not caring at all. The ordeal was so upsetting to everyone that one of the employees, ironically enough, told me that if I was going to send a complaint, to inform you that they needed new computers. WOW! This situation could have been defused by a simple apology, as all I wanted was appreciation for being a customer and to be treated courteously. Instead of I got this treatment. Make of it what you will, but it will be a long time before I think about setting foot in any of your stores.
