As of October 2024, it was mostly organized, but not so clean. It never has been. What happened to all of the cool Halloween items they used to have? I was here in August and September too and never saw much of anything. My youngest daughter was counting on using a few miniature items for her "cemetarium" (a cross between a cemetery inside a terrarium). She sculpted most of her items out of clay, but i was hoping to find other creepy creatures to satisfy her delight. Free, ample parking in a shared lot with Harbor Freight, Big 5 and Hobby Lobby in the same plaza.

I used to love coming here as a little girl with my mom because she knew I would never touch anything breakable. Lol. They still have a lovely store all decorated for Christmas as of November 16, 2024. We were immediately greeted by Celina. What an interesting spelling of her name, right? She assisted me with questions about a twin-size bed for my daughter. She gave me her card and took my information as well. Since we are in the month of November, I'm grateful for Miller-Waldrop for a few reasons: 1) My brother bought me a bed from here when I first moved back to New Mexico. It is still so comfortable. I know it was high end, but it was so worth it. 2) The salespeople are not pushy, but they will check in on you from time to time. 3) They offer unique pieces like this coffee table that I love, love, love... it's like a tree stump... not symmetrical. You'll notice right away the clean white bricks on the outside. Ample, free parking is available. As soon as you walk in, there is an old-fashioned coin-operated kiddie ride horse. It's adorable. Then there's the polished wood floor. The high ceilings. The uber organized sections for men, women, and children. Multiple dressing rooms. My favorite area is probably hats. There is an attendant specially for that section to get your new hat fitted, shaped, and on your way to the upcoming fair & rodeo in Lea County. I was greeted at the store, but was slightly disappointed at the lack of customer service thereafter. Nonetheless, I will be back for some new jeans. They also sell jewelry, belts, cowboy wallets, coolers, tumblers, and more. Roy Rogers sang, "Let me ride through the wild open country that I love / Don't fence me in." Do it in style too... I was right. There are many really great Christian gifts and very few secular items. I bought a leather-bound writing journal and a bookmark for one of my daughters. My total was $16.53. The owner was a very sweet and funny woman. The Last Supper puzzle hanging in a frame is not for sale. They no longer sell those puzzles. Please start selling those once again!

My company frequently shops at AS for our safety equipment like nitrile dipped gloves plus simple items like bottled water. We have been getting 24-packs at $5.29. This is not unlike any other Ross location... the clientele is just more often than not a little out of hand. Screaming children. Folks who do not want to replace things nicely on the shelves or on the racks again. Geeze... The staff members were nice. Most of them busy. I did self check out because nobody was available to check me out and take the security tag off of the Cuisinart 2 1/2 L pot that I bought. It was pretty easy just to take my item up to the desk with three other staff members and get my tag removed. * this is sarcasm and my eyes are rolling.* Ross is good maybe for purses and accessories and pots and pans and home decor, but I certainly do not shop here for clothes for me personally. Sweet & Spicey Memories recently announced on their Facebook page that they were moving…read more This February 1, 2024 announcement did not reveal any details except that they will remain open at their current location through Valentine's Day. When I went in the other day to ask where the owner was moving she smiled and said it was a secret. Well, darn. I guess others had already tried sweet talking her too. Lol. She also does not have an estimated open date due to personal/health reasons that were just discovered the day before I visited. I picked up a few sweets for my sweethearts - chocolates and caramels and a jar of locally-made honey: Abdallah Individually-Wrapped Caramel = $0.76 Abdallah Valentine Individually-Wrapped Chocolates = $0.78 Hot Chocolate Stirrers = $2.00 each Beeman Honey = $15.99 This store has so many great gifts for all ages... particularly geared towards the Christian faith.
