It's not like there are a ton of shopping choices in Hobbs, America…read more Kountry Korral Boutique was around when I lived in this Southeastern New Mexico town many years ago, and it's still surviving the ups and downs of the oil and gas economy that Hobbs depends on as well as COVID-19. I miss the Tea Room that once was next door, but now it is a different cafe... Outlaw Grill or something. My uncle really enjoyed his ginormous, overpriced green chile burger there recently. I haven't partaken, but back to the boutique... This place offers baby and wedding registries. Many of the items are fairly unique. The clothes, in my humble opinion, are simply overpriced and more geared to more mature ladies. ;) Definitely not my styles or fit. The staff members always have the place open! They rarely IF AT ALL close to set up for Christmas debuts like *cough cough* another place *Horsefeathers* did when I was mostly recently shopping (10/28/20). That's why they get my full 5 star love. TIPS + love their little lotions by "Camille" (tiny jar $1.50)... rare that I see my middle name on anything let alone boutique items + they have GOOD aromatherapy roll-ons ($12 each)! #ThankYouThursday

Sheri's House of Hope is a non-profit organization in Lea County, New Mexico, that supports "women…read moreand children survivors of domestic abuse." Their Thrifty Boutique is located on Turner Street five blocks from the police station. When another donation drop-off center had a sign on their door that they were no longer accepting donations for 2022, I decided to see if Sheri's was available. Prior to this day, I had never been there. The ladies who were working here on 12/9/2022 when I dropped off donations were welcoming and friendly. Most of the items are women's and children's clothes and shoes, but I saw jewelry, girls' hair bows, and a plethora of other items. From now on, I most likely will be bringing my items worth donating to Sheri's - especially after reading about Sheri and her mother's efforts to change law enforcement mindset about victims of domestic violence. Under no circumstances should anyone - female or male - be a victim of domestic abuse! Please help make others aware of this tragic nonsense by donating & encouraging others to donate to Sheri's.

Lulu & Co is the newest boutique to open up on the north side of Hobbs, NM…read more It's located at the Navajo East Plaza on Bender Blvd across from Tractor Supply. I popped in today (2/14/2024) to honestly just look around. There was ample free parking. At the register I saw some Gold Canyon candles and picked one ($29 for a 14-ouncer) up for an upcoming birthday girl. These are some of the best candles I have ever tried. Lulu is the only retailer in town that sells them & they gift-wrapped it for me! I was done Valentine's shopping long ago, but I couldn't resist a pair of heart-shaped earrings ($12). The ladies working there are extraordinarily kind and welcoming. I didn't see many bodysuits which was what I was looking for, but I'll be back. They have super cute clothes for women for all occasions. Please support this local business!

Our technicians and electricians tend to wear long-sleeve shirts year-round, but we have also bought short-sleeve collared shirts and jackets because New Mexico has some wacky weather... even during the dog days of summer. The employee that greeted me at the front was cordial and prompt with our snap-back hat order of over $1,000. They all looked amazing. This time my bosses decided to order two variations of camo and some black hats with our Zia logo. I just saw some pullover vests on their Facebook page that look sharp - I might have to inquire about them. There was not a soul in sight when I walked in. I figured they were in the back grabbing parts in this DIY territory. Straight off the shelf it was marked $61.49. The 3M double-sided 1/2" molding tape (.05" thick) I needed near it was not price-labled. I thought, damn, I should've ordered it on Amazon (as no one else in town, e.g. Lowe's and Home Depot, carries this item in stores). I grabbed them both. Then I waited for quite some time to come to the register. Probably too long. Finally a few minutes, in walks two employees. The first asked me if I had been helped. Lol. The wheel/kit came out to $42.96 while the tape was $15.49. I love the ladies who work here - always willing to help me pick out the best for my liking. Back on 10/06/2023 I bought a new belt ($55.41 including tax) to wear doing cowboy work with my man in Southern Colorado. I've been wearing it at least twice per week since then -- it's great quality! My mom bought my daughters some Ariat jeans here that almost immediately got tears and holes. I am not a fan of Ariat anything, so be warned... Their Wranglers have held up much better. That's my two cents, y'all!

Sometimes they also sell Hobbs High Eagles shirts. This shop is also is home to other businesses: a tea and coffee bar, Unity SoBar (@unitysobar), a live screen printing t-shirt company, Ink Works (@inkworkshobbs), and a customized hat company, Sinjed (@sinjed_). The lady who runs the place is super friendly and helpful. If you need a gift wrapped, they'll take care of it for you. I recently (9/14/2022) picked out this adorable gold chain necklace with a moon sliver and a star for my mother-in-law's birthday ($48). She loved it as she has never owned anything like it. Heart's Desire is Christ-centered recovery center for individuals in need. The folks working that day were seemingly busy as I was never greeted or spoken to. Basically all they sold was clothes. If other items existed, I surely did not seem them or how to get to them. Their selection mainly catered to women. And everything was sorted by color which was a bit aggravating. There were children's clothes too. Some shoes. I didn't browse the men's section at all if there was one. Most items were in good condition. Priced reasonably.
