This is the worst business ever. They illegally towed my car for one. Two, the customer service was horrible. $400 later the car was released. I was cursed at and called racial slurs. While leaving one of the tow trucks drivers blocked me in. After my son asked him to move, he hit my son with the truck!!! The manger just watched. Other drivers drove by and yelled out very distrustful words. My son was rushed to the hospital. Which means that we had to leave his car. They towed it right to the back. The fees are extremely higher than the State of Texas allows. I will be contacting the BBB. read more

After reading some of the low rating reviews, it seems that most of the people unhappy about their experience are really just sore because they parked where they should not have, and All-Star towed their car for violating a property owner's rights. Well "boo hoo", I say. I learned about this company after watching some of their videos on YouTube, which are hilarious. I called them up when I needed a tow and you know what? They came right out and did just that. If you need something towed in a flash, these are your guys. The lady I talked to was very polite and helpful. This place is disrespectful. The weather was unbelievably inappropriate for people to stand outside to wait on the good will of someone to even talk to us over the intercom. When somebody finally decided to come by the window and help us, they told us that they were going over a "shift change" and they would not be available for the next 15mins. My car was towed from a retail parking lot that shares spots with my apartment complex. This was my fault, and I don't blame Allstar or anyone else for it, except perhaps the previous owners of the building who made a shady deal to maximize profit at the expense of the residents' convenience. I called ahead, confirmed the car was present, and verified the fees. I waited a few hours, had a friend drive me over, and went to pick up the car. It turns out I was lucky to reach someone - later attempts to call rang forever until they went to a PBX menu system that was non-functional (pressing "0" if you don't know your party's extension simply caused the menu to repeat). It's worth pointing out that the lady on the phone was polite, helpful, and almost friendly. I'm fairly certain it was the same person who "helped" me in person, too. When I got there, though, after waiting 30 minutes in line - they are *slow*, each person taking 15-20 minutes and only one person at a time ever helped - I was told the car had been released to another tow company. I was very confused, since I had no loans or liens (the car has been paid off for several years and I had title in hand), and explained this. I asked the woman behind the (completely blacked out) glass to provide chain of custody paperwork and contact information for whoever had the car. After another 30 minutes wait, I was told, again, that there was lien on the vehicle and to contact the lender. I again explained that there was no lien or loan, and that the car had been paid off for several years. Another 30 minute wait and they told me the same thing, and I repeated my request. I remained polite but firm the entire time, never raising my voice or speaking disrespectfully, but refusing to leave. Between each interaction with the mystery woman behind the window, I was required to wait for at least one more person to be processed The back and forth continued for almost two and a half hours until they finally "found" the car. They claim that it was a clerical error, and it took that long to fix the issues so I could take the car. I don't believe them for a minute; clerical issues don't take 2.5 hours to solve if you can read. They released the car to me without further fuss, though there was no consideration made financially for my long wait and their entirely at-fault "clerical error". While the lady behind the counter was never outright rude, she bordered on it when insisting they didn't have the car and that I had a lien on it - she obviously didn't want to deal with me at all, and was used to people taking her word as absolute. A few highly concerning points: The window is completely blacked out - they watch you through a camera - so you can never see who you're talking to, or even if someone is present at all. This isn't illegal, but it *is* both disconcerting and frustrating; one more thing to make the whole process as uncomfortable as possible. They will release any car to anyone. Despite the sign saying you required proof of ownership in some form, all except one person of the seven or eight people who picked up cars while I was waiting was not on the deed (the lot apparently can query the DMV's database) was not the listed owner of the vehicle. Instead, they charge you an additional $10, cash only, for an affidavit you fill out claiming you have the right to take the vehicle. Ostensibly, it's the fee for a notary, but the law dictates that notaries can't charge more than $6 for their service, and it's telling that the fee is cash only. That's pretty terrifying. All I'd need is the year/make/model of the car and where it was towed from, and I could take him any car I wanted. They do not verify anything once you pay and are let in the lot. You're free to simply walk to any car and do anything. There may or may not be surveillance cameras in the lot, but there's certainly no one around making sure the only car you mess with is yours. Most importantly, if I hadn't been insistent and had simply taken their word as most people would have, they would have kept the car, continued to charge storage fees, and auctioned it off without my knowledge or consent. I only came out of this with my car because the friend I got a ride from was an actual attorney, and he was kind enough to throw his weight around for me. I feel terrible for anyone who has to deal with scum like this without the benefit of having an onsite attorney to advise them. If you can avoid doing business with these folks, you should do so. If you have to interact with them, I advise you to record everything on your phone, and to be polite but persistent in your requests. read more

If I could -100 stars I would. The apartment I live at apparently uses this trash ass company for towing. The towed my fiancés car ILLEGALLY as he fucking lives there and has a sticker on his car. Not only did he TRY to tow it, I woke up with his car left in the middle of the parking lot bc the tower tried to PRY his LOCKED door open to get the parking break off, which is ILLEGAL w/out a repo. His entire front bumper was scratched and he insists there was no damage. When trying to call the guy who towed PATRICK GRAHAM, he basically insuated we were lying and that we were scammers, said he would meet up to talk and then never showed. We will be suing his ass. This company towed my car while away for 5 minutes. When I came out to it being towed and I set off my alarm they took corners at a high speed to side roads to avoid me chasing after them. When I retrieved my car the lady had very vulgar behavior after placing me on hold for 25 minutes on my way there. Once in the yard to pick up my car, the tow truck driver harassed me by whistling at me and laughing at me since he had seen me chase after him. Of course, my front bumper was also damaged in this whole process. Please file TDLR complaints and get these felons business closed. read more

First off, good luck to you in retrieving your vehicle or reaching a human while calling this company. My friend's vehicle was towed by this company at an apartment complex. The manager of the complex said if we need to park in their parking lot that it's fine as long it's not for too long. My friend parked there less then and hour and her vehicle was gone! Within 3 hours of calling the towing company nonstop we were able to reach someone twice! Each time they said the vehicle was not there yet. This company is basically a garage for 9 different towing companies. The first time we were able to reach someone the b**** put us on hold for over 25 minutes. If your a garage for 9 different companies shouldn't you have better staffing if not a better website? You give an option to search for your vehicle online but once you click on it it give you an error page. How is this company a 24 hour service when I called literally over 20 times and no one has answered the phone? You get this ignorant automated thing at the end which ask you to," dial your parties extension if not dial 00" but yet repeats the same thing because it does not send you to the operator. I've dealt with other towing companies before but never encounter such an awful company like this one. read more

My car was towed while legally parked in a parking lot. I spoke to the property manager/owner who informed me that they were not authorized to patrol or tow my vehicle without authorization. When I spoke to Allstar they LIED and told me the vehicle was parked illegally and that they were authorized to patrol and tow. The property manager called and spoke to them on my behalf and got the tow charge removed. DO NOT use this company for anything. Completely unethical. read more

Filed all the paper work as requested, talked to a Beckie who confirmed that she received it and would work on it. After calling back she told me I was number 3 on the list. Finally after 6 weeks I was told my claim was moved to her supervisor for approval. After 10 days I was told I have to start filing a claim since he did not received anything, Went back to Beckie and she confirmed that he has received everything. On confronting him ( Scott), no reaction. They are a scam. I am reporting them to the Texas Department of Licensing & regulations as will file a small claim court against them. Park in Walgreens parking lot and went inside Walgreens during business hours to get a Covid shot. My car was towed in the process and had to pay $165 to get it out. I did NOTHIG wrong. I parked and went inside Walgreens and have a receipt of being a customer there. A Walgreens shift lead said they gave no permission for towing. They got him on camera illeaglly towing my car AND anither customers car. Canceling the contract with them is in the works. They are towing customers' cars while they are in the store. read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. Unlike Anthony's thesis of every one of these reviewers being a moron and parking in the wrong place, my car was actually stolen. I'm from the Austin area and this person took it all the way to Dallas. Seeing how this is my only vehicle, I paid the extra money to get it towed back to me. I've been waiting over three days, still nothing. I get a new time estimate every day and they never show up. This is unfortunately the third party company that Walnut Hill uses to get vehicles towed back to their rightful owners. I'm merely nothing but a victim of car theft and these people have done nothing but hinder my time, work, and the move I'm about to make for said work. I've been told if I want my car faster, though it was promised to be here within 48 hours which they've now far surpassed, I should come pick it up. Ah if only I could, but YOU HAVE MY CAR. What do you want me to take an Uber from Austin on top of the $300+ dollars I've already paid you?! This company is absolutely horrible and if I even had a choice in not having to deal with them ever, I most definitely would have. So rest assured, whether you were in the right or wrong, whether you parked somewhere you shouldn't have or your car was stolen, you're still going to get treated like the same piece of crap. Avoid at all costs if you can. Update: Another day and missed time estimate has passed. Incredibly incompetent and frustrating. I'm sure they'll be really upset that they've made me now have to make arrangements to get it from them all the way in Dallas though, however I'm sure my voiced opinions will be treated just the same. They have my friends car in the lot, GPS showing on her phone that it was there, and CarMart also saying it was there and we could freaking see it and did not get picked up, and they want to tell her it's not on the lot and she can't get anything out of her car because it is not there. 1 STAR IS EVEN WAY TOO GOOD FOR THIS COMPANY! I completely agree with other reviewers that Allstar rides around, just trolling for cars to tow, for no valid reason, just to make money! We work hard for our money, so you might as well slap us in the face. I'm part of a medical team that provides 24/7 care to a pediatric patient that resides in a North Dallas apartment complex. I will say that the on-site leading employees are absolutely horrible, so rude and go out of their way to NOT be helpful. Maybe they receive a kickback each time Allstar toes a vehicle??!! Anyway, the apartment people full well know about the resident and the 24/7 medical care, believe Allstar is aware also. A couple of months ago, my car was towed @ 6:30 PM, 30 minutes before my shift ended, for no valid reason! Not familiar with the towing and retrieval process, it was only worsened because these people are very hard to reach! You basically can only speak to the folks who run the retrieval lot, they don't care at all! And why should they? Also, we discovered that the towing people actually BROKE INTO MY CAR in order to release the emergency brake! Is that even legal??!! So I got towed at a Kroger's parking lot, I called and spoke to "Becky" ( she told me Becky but on the allstar website it says Brooke ) & asked her what's the policy for towing a car, shouldn't there be a sign to say no parking after a certain amount of time? Because if so I didn't see one. She was the RUDEST person I ever spoken to, she instantly got smart with me and said there's signs everywhere. I stated my reason was I parked there around 2:50 am. There wasn't any parking spots in my apartments and I ALWAYS park there when there's no parking spots in my apartments. So I was curious to why I got towed all of a sudden, "Becky" over talked me I asked to speak to a manager she stated she was one, I asked for the corporate number because her customer service skills was horrible. Absolute worst experience. These people were so rude and obviously haven't updated their paperwork in a while. I stayed overnight at a friend's place and had my car towed even though it was parked in the visitor's parking spot that the apartment manager clearly circled and highlighted for us on the map as visitor parking. When I called the first time the guy on the phone had no clue what apartments I was talking about, and when I tried to look up the address he just hung up on me!! I called back a second time, this time agitated because my car has been illegally towed and someone just hung up in my face, and the second guy on the end of the line had the audacity to tell me that "Maybe he hung up because of your attitude." No, sir. I was completely calm during the initial call. It wasn't until after I started receiving attitude and got hung up on that I became upset. After looking up my info the guy tried to say that I got towed because I didn't have a parking sticker. I corrected him that the documents my friend received on move-in clearly stated that you didn't need a parking pass, you just needed to be in visitor parking. He then back-tracked and tried to correct his "story" to say that I wasn't in visitor parking, and when I tried telling him that I'd be more than happy to email him the documents because I WAS in visitor parking, he rudely cut me off and told me that because I'm not a resident there was nothing he could do about it and they wouldn't refund me the money.
