High pressure to sign up, lying about pricing. I was assured that I could cancel before the install date. After talking to family members, we decided to cancel and remain with our current provider. I texted the pushy appointment setter. He told me I have to call an 866 number. The woman I spoke with said the account is in my husbands name, he would have to call to cancel. At no point did we say to put my husbands name on the account! We've had nothing but lies from the get-go, that is no way to do business. read more

Allo internet is great if nothing is going wrong. I missed a payment due date by 1 day and they double charged me for that month. My student discount "expired" and once I reapplied, took them 2 months to "process" it and never refunded they extra money. When trying to cancel service, they tell me everything is disconnected, yet I find a new bill next month that has to be paid that is double charged since it was late. I had disconnected internet a few times and it took them forever to come out and fix it every time. Customer service is pretty atrocious. Its hard not to see them as a scam company by how many times they royally **** you at every given moment. read more

What a great experience!! Decided that we were tired of paying COX's rate increases and got rid of them. We love our new service. Allo made it extremely easy. Tech was friendly and knowledgeable when we asked questions. We signed up for the same speed that we had with COX. When doing a speed test Allo is 3x faster in uploading and downloading and they charge less. No contact, free installation and equipment!! Will never go back to COX, they have terrible service and are overpriced. Thanks Allo for supplying a superior service!! read more

Multiple times my internet has stopped working, all the equipment looks fine. I call in they want me to unplug everything and it doesn't fix it. Then they ask if I called in to cancel service, and no I haven't. I'm the only person on the account allowed to make changes so either they are not verifying callers or someone working there is just deleting people. read more

I've been with "COX" for years with virtually no issues. Along comes "ALLO" singing the geek siren song of "2,000" megabyte per second fiber speed which I found irresistible. They showed up, installed the wiring and (huge) modem/router. Speed tests gave me LOWER speeds than my Cox service!!!! Service call advised me to purchase a "Netgear Nighthawk" USB 7 adapter to override my CPU card. Nope - didn't work. I have a "10th Generation Windows 10" chip set and that USB 7 will NOT work with anything LESS than 12th Generation chip set and Windows 11. I found this out by doing my own search and study which apparently their service guys did not know. I was able to return the USB 7 adapter and Amazon returned my $$. AT NO TIME DURING MY CALLS AND SET UP DID ANY EMPLOYEE OF ALLO INFORM ME OF THAT!!!! They said my Dell XPS 8940 desktop was good to go!!!! NOT!! Switched from Cox and speed test runs slower. Yes, I'm on WiFi, but it shouldn't be SLOWER than Cox. Their installer was great, though (A+ for that). But the actual speeds are not great, and for how much you have to sacrifice to get it installed, landscaping, holes in your house, it's just not worth it. read more

We've bounced back and forth from allo to spectrum depending on who offers the best deal. I've never had a problem with the service from allo, unlike spectrum, but it does seem like their technicians are not very knowledgeable. During our most recent change the technician cut our coax cable going to our main living room because he wanted to put a fiber only port in the house. He did this without saying anything... I discovered it the next day. Overall it isn't a big deal since we don't have a tv there but it's just puzzling that it happened. read more

They have taken over 6 months to install in our yard and do not give any notice when entering property. They will leave behind trash, break water lines, and walk all over your sod. This shouldn't take months to install and you shouldn't be entering peoples properties this much. Get it done with and move on read more

as far as I'm concerned, we have had the worst service ever it was slow. It will lag we lost connection many many times and when it was a busy weekend or a holiday, you could barely get connected. The TV would completely shut off. I would not advise Allo dropped them. I just know where to send the equipment. I switched to a lot better network fast easy set up quick and I have 45678 lines of service with no lagging no set up and it works fantastic. Three bars is the max. I have solid three all the very pleased and it was Verizon by the way. read more

I got their internet service almost a year ago and they were great until the last few months. My bill went up by $20 and the internet service takes forever to load. Allo fiber has demonstrated blatant disregard for property owners rights and complete lack of respect for property, by hanging loose cable on private fence approximately 1 month ago putting children and family pets at risk of injury. Now today digging across my yard 17 feet away from fence line. I understand utility companies have a right to easement access to service their customers like my neighbor today, but to dig across my yard without any communication or concern of possible damage to private property is outrageous ! We gave been in Lincoln NE for one year. We have come to know the technicians who arrive at our home to 'fix' our issues with Allo throughout that time. This last one, when we have freezing, no cable, and zero tv service is pretty much the last. Now, they have dug up our back yard on behalf of an unsuspecting neighbor who just signed up for Allo. If you buy a house that has the connection / box / tower in your yard,, BEWARE! Allo will come lay lines across your yard, then come many weeks / months later to bury them... only to make your own service inferior, and to cause you lots of work to fix and repair the damage done to your your yard. read more

We called Allo so we could get rid of spectrum and their corrupt billing practices and shotty service. They came out and did a pre-install inspection of the yard and said they would return on the 20th to lay a temporary cable because supposedly the ground is frozen so they cant bury it until spring (lies), they said they would then return on the 23rd to install the box on the side of the house and install everything inside the house so that we have phone and internet, did not want television service. Today is the 20th, Allo did not show up, we called and were told that we arent even on the schedule after waiting three weeks for them to come and hook up the temporary cable. We told them dont bother coming out, we want service from a company we can rely on, not one worse than what we already have. After reading the majority of these yelp reviews i think we made the right decision. When someone gives you this kind of service right out of the gate as a new customer its time to give some serious thought to your decision and as someone else stated.... Unprofessional and disrespectful. ALLO Fiber's work crews wrecked our neighborhood's sidewalks and yards, and then left them. Yards were totally trashed. My neighbor had a huge hole dug in his front yard that was just left. If ALLO's coming to town, get ready for months of blocked driveways right when you need to get to work or take a kid to school, trash in your yard, landscaping steamrolled. The company didn't put our sidewalks back to how they were (flat and even). The "what to expect video" on their website (link below) is about as far from what we experienced as a game of rock-paper-scissors is to a gladiator death match. The installation vandalizes property, and it feels like our City Council got scammed. I have had Allo for about four months, It has super-fast internet, great customer service, and professional installation, it is so much better and cheaper than Spectrum. I had Spectrum for 20 years it was always going down and the prices would always increase. If you can get Allo in your neighborhood I highly recommend it. read more

This internet service is a blessing. So much better than old copper lines and the customer service is top notch. I feel like I'm treated like royalty when I call. The routers may not be the best but they are LITERALLY FREE. So you have no room to complain my god. During the installation of Allo, they cut through my underground dog fence and a month later and numerous phone calls finally repaired it. Also cut through my TV antenna coax which they attempted to repair but failed to properly crimp the coax connectors to the coax during the repair. Again numerous phone calls and emails and my opinion the run around still have not repaired it. Allo has set up days ( four of them) when a tech will be out but never show up, call, text or email. This has been ongoing for more than a month now. Allo personnel don't even return phone calls. Unfortunately customer service doesn't exist when there are issues needing to be addressed. read more

Allo installation in Greeley CO has left a bitter taste in my mouth. When they placed their service pedestal in my back yard, we asked that they place it 12 inches from our fence so we could maintain our fence. On one side the box is 5 inches or so and on the other side it is maybe 8 inches. That makes it pretty dang hard to work in the corner of our yard. In addition, I live on the highest point in Eagle Ridge and my backyard is sloped for drainage. The spot where the crew worked was sloped towards my fence, both the N and E sides of the fence, for drainage. After they completed their work, the slope is gone and the ground and rocks are now held up by my fence. Before they did this work, the fence did not have any rock against it, which will be evidenced through my photos of the fence away from the Allo box. Additionally, the rock cover was mixed in with the dirt as they replaced the dirt around the box. Now I will have to pay close attention to that corner of my yard for weeds since the rock is useless at this point. I have spent countless hours in my backyard making it the best I can and the Allo contractors really didn't give a damn if they put it back the way it was. I really don't understand why our backyard was selected for the installation site, but it's too late for me to worry about that. I am not happy with Allo and do not plan to use their services. Look closely at the photos and you will see how the ground was leveled at the installation site. It was NOT level before Allo made this mess! Look at the rock level away from the installation and notice how high the rock is along the fence near the Allo box. I would be ashamed if my employees did work like this. In addition to this fiasco, Allo was supposed to come fix this mess. We had an appointment that I spent hours blowing leaves from their worksite, and they didn't show up!!! I spoke with someone from Allo who guaranteed me that they would reschedule and make things right, including moving the box away from my fence. Guess what? No one called me back! Allo is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. I am ashamed for them. read more

Allo Fiber is the worst. They destroyed neighborhoods in Colorado. Water line breaks, cut other companies' lines, dug massive holes in people's yards and never filled them. The company is a joke. They hire workers who don't speak English, then put a "foreman" sitting in a truck on their phone doom-scrolling to handle the customer service. In my town, I'm sure there were serious "back room deals" to get the entire city fiber. The only problem? Fiber was already as my house from two other companies AND they're cheaper than Allo!! I will never, and I repeat NEVER sign with Allo. None of my neighbors, family, or friends will either. Stay far away from this company. Shady and unprofessional. read more

Now some towns may have had some severe growing pains with the service. However my town of Fremont has had great service and support from Allo. Their community involvement is everywhere from participating in the local parades, to hosting a barbecue and offering free food to anyone who shows up. They have no shame. During their city wide installation, they do not notify homeowners before starting work with heavy machinery on your property. Zero professionalism as they block the street without setting up any signage or cones and I was personally stared at very hostily for waiting for him to direct traffic. If that wasn't enough, it seems they have little to no training as they left my neighborhood with no electricity for over 9 hours in July when temperatures exceed 110 degrees and we rely on AC units here due to breaking something. They drove over our yard and parked on the sidewalks while they worked during the day. They crushed sprinkler heads that I had to replace, left trash everywhere, and even left socks hanging in a trash bag in a tree. I realize they have to call and have other underground services found, but of course, they spray paint your yard, leave flags all over, and one of the shmucks even swung on my kids play set. I switched from Time Warner aka Spectrum to Allo as I heard it's great service. Well I get the service and the installer drilled into the wrong wall, dropped my cable co axel in the wall and couldn't get it! Two days later because of the stupid installer did everything wrong my service went out two days later! Yes Allo came to fix this issue but the cable cord was NEVER fixed! I had service for over a year and I decided to move so I called in on 7/6 to cancel and the billing goes until the 10th so they should owe me money however I get a bill for $30!?!? I call and speak to 3 reps and 30 minutes later the supervisor told me she wouldn't do anything and I could cancel my girlfriends service as well. Basically saying my business didn't mean anything so that's what I'm going to do! F Allo!!!!! read more
