It's good if you've never ridden before because the horses are mostly content to move slowly. It seemed like a lot of the horses were rescues and/or older so they're not running anywhere. The place feels less like a stable/horsefarm and more like a home for horses that partially sustains itself by offering rides. The horses didn't seem very well maintained, either. I don't want to leave a negative review because it wasn't bad, it was fine, just not especially exciting or fun. I'd recommend for people who are scared of horses and want to get over that fear, etc.

It was still a bit cold and overcast when we arrived and we ended up being the only couple to join them. After the ride was over we had the opportunity to go back to the barn and meet all the horses. We learned more about each of them and got to feed them carrots, absolutely worth the price and a ride we would definitely do again, hopefully under better weather next time!

Not simply because he was running late, but because the house (castle/waiting room/party room) was absolutely filthy. I was really taken aback by a business looking like this, even if it's a business that works w/ animals. When we got there, the owner and assistant were on a ride w/ another group. Then the group we were supposed to be riding with were an hour late, so we had to wait for them. It was just annoying, although Steven (owner) was friendly. When we walked into the empty house it looked like a construction space, a hen was walking around the inside and I even saw it poop IN THE KITCHEN! Things finally turned around when I hopped on Sherman (my white horse w/ black spots). He was a greedy little thing and ate up all the grass but he was a great horse. Steven immediately put ppl on the horses and taught us while we were riding. He was a straight to it teacher and I liked that. He definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to animals. He took a bunch of pictures and videos and sent them to everyone in the group. I'm thankful to have such awesome pictures that didn't cost us extra. I'm giving 4 stars despite the filth because Steven was friendly, welcoming, and I enjoyed the experience. Tip: -don't eat there if germs bug u -don't arrive early, there's no point -yes, you're in the right spot, even though it looks a little funky on the outside

Kim talked to us to see our comfort of riding and experience level. Then we headed over to the barn to see what horses were feeling up for a ride. She chose the horses and saddled them up. Kim truly loves her horses and cares for them with so much compassion. She brushed each one, sprayed them down so the bugs didn't bother them and saddled them up. She made sure our stirrup's fit properly and we loaded up for the ride. Once out of the gate we headed for the trail and then through the woods, crossed a creek and even met some of her neighbors along the ride. We trotted and galloped, my goodness I loved EVERY second of it!!! The horses listened very well. They look to Kim as their leader and will not run without her doing so even if you try to get them to. We will definitely be back when the weather cools down. I love that she doesn't run her horses in summer much because of the heat. This is a wonderful place to ride.
