He knew the type of exhaust that was needed, and he also had prior experience of installing different variations of my exhaust. I started to hear a rattling noise under my car one day and upon inspection after an oil change I noticed a bracket connecting the post-catalytic converter pipe to engine had torn apart. It tore horizontally through the middle. Upon the recommendation of a friend I went to Allied Muffler. The gentlemen, forgive me I've forgotten your name, and his wife and dog greeted me in a friendly manner and asked what the problem was. As I told them, I asked for a thrifty solution, perhaps just a weld to connect the bracket back. While reluctant and a verbal disclosure of non-liability was provided, an estimate was given, and within minutes the problem was fixed. I can't thank them enough for providing a service that was relatively inexpensive, accommodating, and fast. FYI- this shop doesn't do brakes, oil changes, tires, or anything but masterful exhaust at a reasonable price. He bent custom exhaust pipes coming out of Fenton headers for my rusted, busted '62 truck. He asked questions and provided advice and built the perfect system for my old stovebolt six. It sounds awesome at idle and doesn't drone at "high" rpm. I'm convinced he could build organs for the fanciest of churches... But he doesn't do that either. Most of it not correct. Beth gave me an appointment at 3. I came at 3. You didn't let me listen to the 50 because it was on the ramp and you didn't want to drive it out. That's not fair. I can't enter the work area. From 20 feet away it sounded ok. Also the turndown was my suggestion after you said you can't bend the 3" pipe over the axle. This made the job much easier for you. If you wanted to make it right you could have answered the phone and worked it out. I don't mind paying for anything especially peoples time. Bob appeared to be very transparent and honest. He told me my muffler rattling sound wouldn't harm anything and I could just leave it; inner metal cylinders were just worn out from heat. But only costing me $100 (installed) to cut, remove old section and replace with new section, I was all in. Also, a clean, chrome muffler tip with Chevy bow tie engraving, installed for $75 - I'm not sure how he stays in business, but totally reasonable and professional, all in 1 hour. I went to Bob's shop, Allied Muffler around 1:30 pm for him to have a look into my 2017 Challenger RT Shaker. I want the resonators to be deleted and have some of his kits installed. Bob checked the car and advised to install a 300SHS kit since my car is already equipped with a dual mode exhaust system. At that time he does not have the kit ready and on my part that's the only time that I am available to have it done. Bob said he can finish it by 4:00 pm so I left my car in his shop. Around 3:30 Bob called that my car is ready. The car sound super good and nice. Clean big tone that is not annoying. I felt like the car is more alive with the kit installed. I agree 100% with other Yelps. After reading the reviews, I decided to give AM a shot and happy to report that AM provided excellent service and workmanship. I wanted to have a bolt-on exhaust tip welded on to my 4Runner. As he was performing the service, he double checked with me to ensure the mount was right and made sure I was happy before making the final welds. He even took the time to spray hi-temp paint to cover the weld and went on to paint even more of the stock pipe to make it blend. Pride of workmanship! I was impressed and very happy. I was inclined to almost pay more and would have if there was a tip section on the credit receipt. The finished product looked factory. I was looking to tone down the exhaust sound in the cab of my truck. As well as a more mellow sound outside. Bob recommended a pair of Dynomax super turbos and I couldn't be happier! It sounds great at idle and when you get on it, it still has a nice growl. And so much quieter in the cab. He took his time and did a great job measuring and eyeballing it too make sure everything thing aligned and just fit right.
