Multiple complaints to include incorrect verbal quotes of costs, not returning (or acknowledging e-mails and phone calls), and essentially operating a "shell game" to continually push the customer to someone else for assistance. To be resolved - On 7.26.2021 I called Roger Stein at Alliance to cancel my original move for job 5516727 (Va-FL) to instead have my stuff returned from storage in FL and brought back to Va job 5532882. I paid $3300 via check for upfront half. Within 48 hours (call and then email dated 7.28.21) I contacted Roger to cancel this job and get options for the original contract there in FL. Roger did not respond for days and I finally had to call someone else to cancel the job and reinstate the original. I was told I wasn't eligible for a refund since I had not cancelled within 48 hrs. although I tried to do so. I've paid ~$10k in fees thus far to include incorrect storage/bogus change fees. Bottom line- Worst moving company I've ever dealt with - they give finally delivered my stuff and items were destroyed/broken or even missing with no help for resolution. We were well taken care of until they got their $. Now after three and a half weeks and $3000 additional dollars we have finally received our boxes and furniture. None of our furniture was blanketed for protection as promised. Our King size Temperpedic bed is ripped and looks like it was dragged through the dirt. Box springs for a queen has boot marks across it. All of our wood furniture has irreparable dings and damage I tried to call Alliance but was put on hold, asked to leave a message, and no one has responded. My experience with Alliance is very similar to the others, however without my consent or knowledge, my move was brokered to another SCAM moving company, All-Time Moving out of Daytona Beach FL. It's been three months and we only received 1/3 of our belongings they took and they are no longer even pretending to try to "find" our stuff. Alliance refused to do anything saying "We don't handle delivery." Currently, reported to BBB, NCCDB (Nat'l Consumer Complaint Database - https://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov/nccdb/home.aspx), WA State DA, Wright County, MO Sheriff - because Snohomish County, WA Sheriff WOULD NOT TAKE A REPORT. I signed for a move with this company but tried to contact them the next day with no avail. Their contract has many strange items like: 1. They gave a right to change the pick up & delivery date up to a week. 2. They will charge $75 per each 75' distance between their shuttle & my apartment. 3. They will charge $400 if their shuttle can not get close to the apartment. 4. They are a broker & not a moving company. 5. As such all issues are between me & the moving company that they will choose. They haveno responsibility. 6. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!! I hired this company to move me from Hacienda Heights to Towson, Maryland. They in turn hired a company Peak Van Lines to move my stuff. They gave a quote after asking him to do an inventory list of everything we would be moving and when they came they said it would be $3000 mores. We did not have time to look for another company so we had to proceed. They came in my house and moved everything into the truck and then when they arrived in Towson, Maryland they moved the stuff from the truck to the new house. As I started to unpack my items I noticed that they snipped a cord on my $700 treadmill, one of my nightstands legs were broken off, my tv stand was broken, 3 of my dining room stools were broken and one was missing, 3 electric standing desk were broken beyond repair and one of them they tried to fix and there is glue clumped all over and its still broken. My power base for my temper pedic queen bed worked before it was moved, but does not work once they moved it. My 7 guitar stand was broken into pieces. Multiple boxes were squished and looked like they had been thrown around. I called Alliance and was told to make a claim. The claims procedure is tedious and took forever to do. I waited months to be told that the settlement was $39.00. When I called back to complain about the insanely low settlement offer they told me to email them another complaint. They are not there to be helpful, but to keep you making complaints and hoping you'll get fed up and just quit. read more

My husband and I were planning a move from California to Texas and were planning to use a company we had been talking to for a couple years. Unfortunately that company stopped servicing Sacramento so I had a month to find a new company. I put a quote request out there and was contacted by Cameron from Alliance Movers and Storage. I had another company that we were possible going to work with, but Cameron was able to beat their price. Everything started out great - Cameron was always reachable and really gained my trust. As expected, we did receive a call a week before our move solidifying our contents and confirming the pick-up date. We also got the day before call saying what time they would be arriving at the storage unit to get our items. I will say that we appreciated that they were able to meet my mother at the storage unit since we were already in Texas. This is where everything went downhill. We were completely transparent with Cameron on the contents of the unit and how we had items that were not packed up and would need packing, specifically three 40"+ TVs. Cameron advised us to buy TV boxes at Home Depot otherwise they would charge us $50 per box. He also assured us that our quote was overestimated to account for the extra packing they would have to do so it wouldn't be raised upon pick-up. From Texas, I purchased TV boxes for my mother to pick-up and provide when she met the movers. When the movers arrived, we got a call saying that we had more in the unit than expected, there would be a packing fee of $500, and the boxes were not needed. They also said our total cost would be almost $2000 MORE than originally quoted and that they would not start packing until we agreed to the new quote and signed off on it. When we told them Cameron had quoted us with all of the conditions stated, they explained that Alliance is a moving broker and that the moving company, US Best Movers, was actually the ones to decide on the final move amount. THIS WAS NOT EXPLAINED BY CAMERON. I tried SEVERAL times to reach Cameron in that moment - texting, calling, and leaving messages. HE NEVER ANSWERED HIS PHONE, CALLED, OR TEXTED ME BACK! We managed to negotiate with US Best Movers to pay $1500 more and because of our situation, we had to pay it. Like most people, we were moving with a tight budget, especially with one of us keeping our job, so having to pay an extra $1500 was hard hit to us financially. ALL OF THIS TO SAY, if you are contacted by Alliance Movers and Storage, specifically Cameron Nye, RUN FAST! To this day we STILL have not heard from him or Alliance. NO ONE has followed up with us on our move and asked if we were satisfied with our moving process. As I said, I left him SEVERAL TEXTS AND VOICE MAILS and I have YET to get a response. read more

I would love to give this business a negative 10 if that were possible! movers beware!!! this company is a rip off. I dealt with a 'professional' named Bruce Murray. If you ever call and get this person, hang up immediately and go somewhere else. He quoted me a price to move from Az to Nv. based on my precise count of boxes and what furniture needed to be moved. I called numerous times to make sure that the quote represented the space I would need for my items. not one time did anyone ever do a virtual assessment, face time, zoom, NOTHING. I had to pay 1400.00 up front and apparently, that is just to book the appointment for the movers to come, ALLIANCE DOES NOTHING ONCE THEY HAVE THAT MONEY!!! when the movers that alliance contracted with, showed up, all of a sudden the price was tripled!!! they claimed that i had oversized furniture - and that costs extra; oversized boxes -that costs extra; the wrapping of my glass items was NOT included as Bruce claimed they would be...everything they did cost me mega bucks. i don't know if this contracted mover was in cahoots with alliance, but i was definately NOT impressed with the game everyone involved played. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! THEY WILL NOT LET YOU PAY WITH A CASHIERS CHECK EVEN IF IT WERE FROMA REPUTABLE BANK!!! THEY WANT A MONEY ORDER FROM THE POST OFFICE OR CASH!! THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN CASH!
