I've had a couple of appointments here and I find the service to be very good. Dr. Manoukian I found to be very courteous and attentive, and he made a point to communicate things very clearly and was eager to answer questions. He handled things swiftly, but I did not feel rushed. The staff were pretty good. They are not overly friendly but they were adequately courteous. I was always a 5-15 mins early for my appointments and each time they got me in right on time, without any additional wait time. I would definitely recommend this office. read more

Downgrading my previous rating because it reflected a doctor who is no longer with the practice. I went here when it was AIRE and Dr. Tachdijan was one of the doctors. He's a rockstar and I highly recommend him. But apparently this is just Dr. Manoukian's practice now, and my experience with him was horrible. He was rude, condescending, talked over me several times and seemed angry and talked over me more when I asked questions. Moreover, when it came to my diagnosis he actually was incorrect. He seems to do okay with some people judging from these reviews but I certainly was not one of them. I'd never recommend him. read more

This office has some questionable practice. First, they suggested what testing I get done. At no time, did anyone advise that one of the tests costs more than $2,000 and is NOT covered by insurance. I was in complete shock when I received the bill. I wouldn't have done the test without prior authorization if I had known. In the event, it wasn't approved, I would never have agreed to the test. They also require multiple visits for testing that could be done the same day so you have to pay a co-pay every time. You easily spend $100 in copays. I will never go to this place again. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt the need to warn others so they don't go through the same situation as me. AllergyDox has been a complete disappointment. I've been here multiple times, yet I only saw the actual allergist, Dr. Manoukian, once. Every time I try to schedule an appointment with him specifically, he's somehow never available or not in the office. What's the point of going to an allergist if you can't actually see the allergist? This establishment is a joke and a waste of time. read more

I resisted immunotherapy for years until my ophthalmologist recommended it, saying he had done it himself. After about a year and a half, I can honestly say this has CHANGED MY LIFE. I spent years waking up in the middle of the night so congested I could not breathe. Allergies plagued me seasonally to the extent I was using two nose sprays and two different antihistamine pills daily. Now I rarely have the slightest trouble. No congestion at night, no problem regardless of the season. It's not easy. For the first year, I had to come here once a week and stay for 30 minutes after. Then it gradually trails off - every two weeks, every three weeks, until now it's once a month, but you still have to stay for 30 minutes to make sure you have no reaction. You have to bring epinephrine epipens with you just in case. I never had a bad reaction. If you're suffering with bad allergies (mine were pollens, etc.), I highly recommend this. read more

I've been coming here for almost a year and my life has been much better! A year ago today my environmental allergies had gotten so bad I could hardly breathe at night and started o need an inhaler. I had never had asthma before in my life. Thankfully I've started the process of desensitizing myself to my environmental allergies and I'm feeling much better. I don't need an inhaler anymore and feel better overall. :) read more

Dr. Manoukian is one of, if not THE most patient and attentive medical professionals I've ever met. My exact triggers and reactions were never found, but Dr. M works with me and my needs every single visit! This is my first allergy visit. The doctor was talking over me and was very fast, late to the meeting. I was trying to explain the issue, but he was more like - see I know the issue, here are the plans I have - opt1 pay x; opt-2 pay y. He was rushing and trying to make another meeting. Barely spoke for 10 mins or less. The plans were also a bit rip-off $3500+ May be I was looking like a cash cow ready to be milked. Looks like the oral drops makes him more money than the shots because he was trying to influence. I just don't like to do business with companies or people trying to make money. I understand, everyone wants to go fast, make money and so on but just don't feel right about this. Also, you will be charged $100 as they don't trust the insurance! read more

Dr. Manoukian went above and beyond the call of duty, answering questions, and providing his professional advice/opinion. it's rare that you find a doctor, who will treat you as a human as opposed to a number, and we really appreciated him, taking the time to understand the deep issues of the allergies at hand. read more

Dr. Manoukian is the very best. I've had so many allergists over the years because I'm a life long asthmatic. He has finally got my asthma under control. He explains everything and is very conscientious about what he prescribes and the effects on the whole body. His office staff and PAs are also very organized, efficient and easy to communicate with. My first-time new patient appointment with Gayaneh Shirvanian, PA-C was a complete failure and disservice to me. She rushed me through an 11 minute telehealth session - billed at $180 after my insurance was applied - where I was left in complete uncertainty about what allergy services are offered by this "health care provider." The front desk called me to schedule a follow-on appointment for allergy testing, and she actually provided me more information than PA-C Shirvanian did. And that call was free. I'm appalled that no one from the office - including Dr. Manoukian who is the public face of AllergyDox - has contacted me after asking that my poor experience be communicated to him. The literal lack of attention to my allergy concerns and questions about testing demonstrates to me that Allergy Dox does not care about patients. I work in the immediate vicinity of Allergy Dox and will make sure that no one in my personal and professional network seeks care from Dr. Manoukian and his staff. read more

Everyone at this practice is phenomenal. They listen and take everything you say seriously. If tests don't provide answers, they keep investigating. They truly want to help and don't stop until they do. They are thorough and easy to talk to. I have had so many bad experiences with doctors over the years as a chronically ill person, so when someone stands out as exceptional, they should be recognized and shared. Read some of the reviews and was excited to make an appointment. First available appointment was literally like a month and a half away but since the reviews look good I went ahead and made the appointment. While making my appointment the receptionist told me that I would be just getting a information appointment I had explained to her that I had been to allergist before and I just wanted to get tested she said that's not our protocol but okay I think that'll be okay. The day of my appointment when I arrived waited in the waiting room literally 40 minutes with nobody in the waiting room when I finally saw the doctor she asked me a thousand questions all redundant and I quickly learned I wasn't getting tested needless to say it was frustrated. As I was leaving I was going to make an appointment to come back and get tested and it was literally two and a half months away and anyone who suffers from allergy symptoms and allergies knows in the summertime we all need some relief. Needless to say I never went back. There was another review here that said the same thing the business practices are misleading as I was told I would be receiving a allergy test with all the little oils and the needles. I've had chronic allergies for over 10 years and lost count of the # of doctors I've seen. But, I'm very impressed with Dr. Manoukian and team-I've never had such great care! Scheduling process is easy, and the team is nice and helpful. Dr. Manoukian was sweet, patient, and took the time to listen + explain everything (as someone who's symptoms are usually dismissed, this was so refreshing). He also reviewed my insurance/co-payments with me - wow, that's a first! I've never had a doctor talk about insurance with me during a visit (& I've had my fair share of dr's visits). I am extremely frustrated with this facility. I was referred to AllergyDox via my PCP after going into anaphylaxis from a bee sting. My first appointment was with Dr. Manoukian for an environmental allergy test. When he finally came in to read the test, he stood way too close to my face, spoke way too fast and tried to sell me on allergy shots for 15 minutes, barely letting me get a word in before hurrying out the door. He read my allergy test to the nurse too fast and WRONG! What a waste of a $50 copay, time and childcare! My second appointment was for skin venom testing as they requested. I had requested to see a different allergist because I did not appreciate Dr. Manoukians lack of professionalism and compassion. I waited months for this appointment to see Dr. Vardanian. I had a 3pm appointment and sat in the waiting room until 3:47p when they finally called my name with no explanation. I watched the staff run back and forth in and out of rooms due to severely overbooking themselves. They did the venom test and also insisted on doing a cat allergy test regardless of my insisting I've been severely allergic to cats my entire life. Needless to say my arm BLEW UP and was uncomfortable, painful and incredibly itchy for DAYS, literally for NO REASON. Not impressed. Not going back. read more

Everyone at this office is amazing. Dr Krikor H. Manoukian is very knowledgeable, patience, and answered all the questions or concerns I have. All his staff are very helpful, caring. They know what they are doing, thorough with everything. Dr Manoukian treated my allergies and eczema for years and helped me so much. Too bad I had to moved to another state. My new allergist office is no where near to compare with AllergyDox. I wish more doctors and their staffs be more like AllergyDox. read more

Avoid this place. At first it was okay but when I called to cancel my appointment for my second patch testing the person who I spoke to the older (Armenian maybe?) lady was pretty rude. She kept saying "I understand what you're saying" in a very condescending way when it was her who first wasn't "understanding" what I was telling her and on top of that kept trying to force me to reschedule when I clearly stated I did not want to do the test at all. She said I would not be able to get results for my first patch test and I told her I already got them she continued saying the same thing and even got bothered because I kept telling her that I got my results. She was not only rude but kept trying to make me feel dumb when she was in fact the one who did not know what she was talking about. The second thing about this place is when you do allergy shots they tell you to schedule in advance since Saturday's are busy. I tried scheduling over 2 weeks in advance and every time they use the same excuse that they're fully booked. This was very irritating especially since I was trying to schedule pretty early versus the week before. Then when I asked them to email me all my results from the tests done there they wanted to charge me some BS fee for medical records even though they aren't spending any type of money on paper or stamps since it would be sent via email. It's ridiculous that after the fact that they charge my insurance most likely over hundreds of dollars they want to charge me a fee to get MY results that MY insurance already paid for. I've been to several medical offices and this is the first that has a "fee" to get medical records. Absolutely ridiculous and this office is clearly just trying to get money from patients in any way possible. *** Stay away from this place, I definitely learned my lesson and will now go to another allergy doctor. I would NOT recommend this place to my family or friends! read more

I have never once written a bad review, but I feel it's important that this information is publicly available. After scheduling and charging a copay for a telehealth visit for a med sensitivity referral, asking questions for 30 minutes, and putting me on hold midway through the call, they dropped the bomb that it's $1300 out of pocket for med sensitivity testing--no insurance accepted. Oh but they offer a 10% discount if you pay in cash. I've never been more furious in my life at a medical office for being so exploitative of a patient. Do NOT go to this office. read more

Dr Manoukian is a great Dr. I came down with an awful case of daily chronic full body hives. Nothing was working and I was miserable. Although it took a while to get everything under control (just the nature of the disease) I am now going on 8 months of normal after following his care plan. read more

My review mostly concerns misleading business practices, which are mentioned in other reviews. I went to this allergist in part because of their easy availability (e.g., there is an option to book online where it lists the doctor's available times). Every time I have tried to do this, as a new or returning patient, I have been called and told the appointment is not available and I could instead book an appointment several weeks or months later instead. It is very misleading to use an online booking portal with inaccurate information to make it look as though the doctor has much more availability than he actually does. I only ever saw a doctor on my initial intake as a new patient, and was not able to schedule an in-person follow-up visit with the doctor after that (only medical assistants/PAs). If you are looking for an allergist where you can actually receive care from a doctor, this is not the right place. It feels like they care more about getting new patients in the door than actually taking care of their patients. read more

Garbage Service, made an appointment for testing, didn't get any calls, confirmation or anything like that. I had to call day of appointment after getting time off of work and was told they cancelled my appointment for the day with no notification. The receptionist that hardly was able to speak English couldn't explain to me what was going on. If I cant even be seen why would they let me book an appointment. Their testing site for allergies is a joke... You are set up to an appointment at a certain time and end up waiting for an hour or more all due to the staff taking in patients who are super late to their appointments... Then they suggest you come waste your time again on another with hopes the same won't happen. Last year when it was done in the same building it was super easy and fast. Not only did they have us wait about an hour, the nurse wasn't gentle with my toddler at all, it showed she has zero experience dealing with little ones. Last year we had a gentleman who was amazing with my lil one, he made her feel safe and the transition was super smooth... I don't recommend this place at all if you're bringing your child. Expect to be seating and wait for an hour or more. They also over book patients... read more

The worse doctors allergy office . The staff is very unprofessional and very rude . I couldn't come to the appointment one time they terminated me us the patient because I missed one appointment and I was in special medication that I need every 2 weeks . They lying me they call so many time but I only got 1 call from theme and latter that they terminated me ya a pt . I don't think it's ok to do that sometimes in life happens stuff and we can't make it I think is understandable. I call them to figure this situation but the staff is very rude to me and they don't do anything I trying to talk to manager she or he don't even call me for two weeks about this situation then I call again the front assistant told that manager is busy I won't talk to me and in this situation it's nothing to talk because they already terminated me and they don't care about this situation anymore.
