My previous allergist thinks I may also have an incredibly rare condition called Progesterone Hypersensitivity but said we had already tried everything, so my symptoms become unbearable during certain times in my cycle. She came up with a medication adjustment we could try and said she would help me explore options. Here's the part I was most impressed by- a couple weeks later I got a call from her- she had spoken with the other doctor who has treated this condition and came up with a comprehensive plan if I wanted to get a formal diagnosis. She also discussed a medication option I haven't tried yet if I didn't want to go that route. This meant so much to me- it's felt really scary dealing with this potentially rare issue with no options, and the fact that she took so much time to come up with a plan and spent valuable time discussing it on the phone just shows she really cares about her patients and is able to be flexible with trying new things based on individual needs- which in my opinion is the single most important factor that makes an excellent provider. Marine Demirjian was not like that. She didn't want to dig into what kind of lab tests I did and didn't even knew it (this is an international lab test made in the well known allergy lab, test ALEX 2). She was also not interested in the root causes of my allergy. She even didn't do a physical exam or offer me skin tests. She sat like an idol in the distance and tried to finish the appointment as soon as possible. It was absolutely worthless, 500 hundred dollars for NOTHING. No help, no explanation. I was extremely dissatisfied with my visit and will never return to this clinic again. The only plus is that no one tried to cheat me out of money.

The cost of this completely unnecessary test was $1748.82 which I am wholly responsible for. Beware of the hidden costs of doing business with this office. They seem a little sleazy. P.S. The test said my son had a peanut allergy and they advised sending him home with an epi pen. My son has been eating peanut butter sandwiches every day for 10 years and continues to do so. Sleazy...

It says a lot when a toddler looks forward to a medical appointment. Dr. Castro really cares about his patients and wants them to live the lives they want as symptom free as possible. For example - I am allergic to dogs, but I love them and have 3 in my home. I'm sure Dr. Castro would prefer that I not have pets but he understands how important they are to me. In the past I have had doctors who refused to treat me if I had animals in my house. Dr. Castro is far more understanding than that. His goal is to help his patients be able to pursue the interests and activities that make them happy. He doesn't just want you to be healthy, he wants you to be happy and fulfilled as well. The office staff is always responsive when it comes to billing inquires and refills, and the medical support team is top notch. I really can't say enough about this place. I contacted the office twice attempting to cancel and never heard back. I assumed it was okay. A year later, I find out I'm in collections for a no-show fee. The office never once attempted to call me or reach out about this and they claim they never received my two cancellation calls. Suspicious to say the least. I have now being trying to reach someone there for over a month-calls, emails, etc. and am constantly being ignored or pushed to someone else. I finally had to get more forceful in an email to get a response, which I did and was then sent yet again to someone else. Only recently did someone finally respond in an email simply stating, "we will not waive this" -verbatim-no proper grammar, no professional message of any kind, reasoning, signature, nothing. I am beyond frustrated with this place at this point and the lack of professionalism, kindness, etc. and what's more? Sending me to collections for $50 when inappropriate but also without even giving em the chance to settle with them first. Based on how the office has been run and my treatment, I would never go there for medical help. This is the most unprofessional office I've experienced in a long time.
