The nurses and MA were all helpful despite the long wait. But recognizing that this is an urgent care and a walk in clinic, that's expected. Con: Despite having a wait area the space of about 15' x 9', patients were not required to wear a mask even if they're coughing and clearly showing signs of being infectious to others in that tight space. Being that this is a health facility. policy should reflect the wellbeing of everyone. There were elderlies, people with compromised immune system and children which makes mask requirement evermore important.

I just really, really want to thank this hospital, for the amazing care I was given!! Before I go…read moreany further I would like to state first and foremost that I am a Latina / Chicana and it is very obvious that im brown. When i see people throwing the race card around i did not have any experience from the staff here i was here from Thursday 9/24 until 9/28, 2026 i felt absolutely cared for and respected!! Trust me i personally know what racism looks and feels like and i didnt have any of that the entire time i was there!! All the nurses and aides, respiratory therapists Robert & D dont wanna get his name wrong but he'll know it's him cuz I told him n I would call him that!! They were excellent at their jobs and I got my breathing g treatments every 4 hours!! Christine on Thursday was absolutely amazing and very sweet. Christine was one of the first people I met when I was rolled up to the 3rd floor. She was amazing before her shift was over clearly explained everything to me. How they were gonna make sure to help me get my breathing on track and I would be there all weekend!! I appreciated that because honestly I thought i was going to die!! To the all the people who helped me i cant thank you enough for your genuine caring and compassion. I feel grateful and want you all to know that u helped save my life!! With all the blood draws, and constant care I see how hard u all work and how busy u all are!! I especially want to thank the lady whose favorite color is orange of any shade!! I forgot her name but she was such a beautiful warm and friendly nurse. She had went to Greece with her husband for their 30 year anniversary. What a great lady .!! Amazing. So as u can tell i was in contact with a diverse group of caregivers and was well tooken care of. So was the lady I shared a room with . Anyway the weekend day I think NP was also amazing . She was great. For 4 days of great care I am breathing better and alive to talk about it!! THANK U ALL SO MUCH!!! Really quick like this isnt the only experience I've had here this is my go to hospital because it beats the alternative!! So please dont assume oh I've been here one time and dont know what im talking about. One more thing as we all know Dr's aren't passing out opiates and those type of pain pills like they used to, it is just the way it is these days. I am not implying that every one is drug seeking by any means but we all know they are out there. Laws have changed and no doctor wants to lose his career or license by passing out opiates like candy!! Times have changed . Rules and laws have to be followed!! Say what u want im just stating the facts!! Anyway I hope get the same great care I have experienced!! WRITTEN BY ABBY YOUNG,

I want to say that, for me, McKenzie-Willamette hospital is the best hospital in the area. I have…read morehad to go to the hospital 3 times for emergency and the wait was less than 1/2 hour in all 3 cases. I was taken care of and the problem I had was taken care of by the doctors and nurses. The last few months I was at the hospital due to blocked arteries which caused me to have a triple bypass, heart shocked twice, an ablation, and finally a pacemaker implanted. After my bypass I ended up in the Cardiac Care Unit where I was taken care of by the most professional caring doctors and nurses. It was like my comfort and recovery were the most important task they had. It is no wonder that they and the doctors and nurses at the McKenzie Heart Group are a level 3 star for patient care and outcomes. My understanding is that is the highest level attainable and there are only 3 in all of Oregon. Two in Portland and one at McKenzie-Willamette hospital with the McKenzie Heart group. You couldn't do any better than them for your heart care especially if you need bypass surgery.

Their recommended transport services were not available, so the office staff would not allow me to be seen, even though my taxi driver had first aid training. The office manager kept saying that I should have called to schedule one of their cabs earlier? 2 weeks isn't enough? If I can get myself there, I can get myself home, regardless of what taxi I take. Why are they releasing patients at all, if the patient is still incapacitated from sedation? I was without food or sleep for 3 days prior to this procedure, and was not in any condition for this manager to be chastising me on what cab I used! She ended up frustrated, and kept saying 'Do you want to reschedule?' Obviously she has never experienced a colonoscopy, and No, I did not want to reschedule. I had been in there twice before, once for a C/O and once for a gastric surgery to prevent a cancer from growing. That surgery went bad and I ended up in the hospital for 6 days. So Yes, I'd been there before. No, I've had enough of OEC, and frankly, I'd rather get cancer than go there again!

The nurse was fine though she wasn't the best communicator; she wasn't clear in what she was asking and then acted like I was . After about 15 minutes or so, a PA came in for examination, diagnosis, and provided a prescription. We were there approximately 45 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. What made this a less pleasant experience is what happened after. The pharmacy they were sending the prescription to didn't have record of it. I called to ask if they had a prescription number that I could provide in case it wasn't coming up with my phone number. Instead of simply saying "no, the pharmacy generates that, not us" she gave me other info and I finally asked if they had a number and she said no. I'd have appreciated if she said "we don't have a pharmacy number but I can give you this other info if it helps." Later when I called them back because the pharmacy said they didn't have the prescription and the doctor needed to call it in (I had already told the pharmacy that urgent care said that THEY--the pharmacy--needed to call them, but she said they wouldn't) the same woman I'd spoken to earlier at urgent care said that they'd just get the same wait time, and I explained I'd already told the pharmacy everything urgent care told me before but this is what I'd been told. Both times I called she acted a bit like I was wasting her time and asking asinine questions, which is why my rating is a 3 instead of 4.

Without exception, Dr. Copperman is a great doctor and his nurses and front staff are always polite…read moreand efficient. I'm really surprised at the one star reviews saying Dr. Copperman doesn't care for his patients. I have found him to be one of the most supportive and caring doctors I have ever known, and I have been around 64 years. He keeps current on your conditions, follows them like a hawk and shares information with other appropriate providers in a timely manner. Our son had an infection that I considered not to be important. He experienced pain in his side. We took him in to see Dr. Copperman. Before he came in to the examination room, Dr. Copperman's head nurse saw our son and noted the emergency nature of our son's condition. Dr. Copperman came in quickly, examined our son and told us to go to the ER as soon as possible. He asked us which ER we wanted to go to and within minutes had all of our son's medical information as well as Dr. Copperman's diagnosis at the hospital, Just 15 minutes later, we arrived at the hospital (McKenzie Willamette) and were ushered in to a room, where my son was examined quickly by a doctor. They agreed with Dr. Copperman's diagnosis. Later that day, Dr. Copperman called us to ask how our son was doing, and he kept in touch with us throughout our son's treatment, ensuring that our son was receiving the best possible care In my opinion, this is the best kind of coordinated care and is something Dr. Copperman excels at. As another example, I get my medications through the VA. The medications are prescribed by Dr. Copperman. Because of him and his office staff and Dr. Stubbs at the VA clinic here in town, we have never had a glitch with the VA providing the medications we need in a timely manner. Our family has been seeing Dr. Copperman for nearly 30 years (we first went at the recommendation of one of his patients). Not only is he a caring doctor, he communicates well with us about what we need to do to improve a condition and what his treatments mean. He also answers any questions patiently, including some extensive questions at times that my wonderful wife asks. We have NEVER felt rushed in his or his nurses' care. Of course Dr. Copperman is a busy man as are his nurses, but in the daily scheme of things, he has never let us down. His other patients with whom I have spoken have unreservedly endorsed him and his staff. To a person, they have felt he provides the best care for them. This simply flies in the face of some of the other reviews on this site, which I simply do not understand. If his care were otherwise, you can bet I would provide a different review, but it's simply not the case. Again, I'm not sure of the basis of some of these reviews, but they fly in the face of my and my family's experience with Dr. Copperman's care and that of his staff. In good conscience, I couldn't let some of these reviews stand without providing our experience with Dr. Copperman, his nurses and his office staff. You won't be disappointed with his care.
