Today we took the kids here to see how much of their illnesses lately have been linked to…read moreallergies. The office was very clean, and they had a large waiting area with tons of toys for the kids to play with. The wait was about 5 minutes which wasn't bad. The nurses were very kind and helpful. My boy had a full test with 35 different allergens on his back and the nurse did a great job and telling him what was going on so he wouldn't be scared. Once she found out he was very allergic to dust mites, she gave him a shot of another type of dust mite and did it well enough to not make him cry. The boy was quite proud of not crying! So I thank her for that. They did equally as well with my daughter....She had 5 allergens on her back which all worked out well. Dr. Rohr was nice and knowledgeable VERY thorough and detailed on all aspects. Only down side is we were there at 915am and we didn't get out of there until 12:45pm. 3 1/2 hours was INSANELY ridiculous. If they couldn't shorten the process up that would be great. But overall, they found out a lot of allergens that was bugging our kids, and it's nice to know how to keep them away from it. I would like to give 4 stars to them ONLY BECAUSE Dr. Rohr came off as genuinely caring for the kids and their well being.

They told me they would block off 2 hours for my "comprehensive new patient appointment". I had to fill out 12 separate forms ahead of time documenting my allergy, including multiple duplications of the same information about symptoms. The doctor saw me for no more than 10 minutes, ran no tests, did not come within 10 ft of me, performed no examination of symptoms. She read my forms back to me, informed me that there was a 90% chance she would not be able to find the cause but would be willing run several tests (read: spend a lot of my money) to try. I left having to book a second appointment (for another charge) to get lab work done in another location--I never went. The charge: $382. The whole thing felt like a scam to bill insurance companies.

However, there was a misunderstanding. I had severe headaches & dizziness, & both doctors suggested I get an MRI. I asked how to do this, bc I was new to Lane County, & both told me to go to ER to do so. And, I did. I thought I did the correct thing, but obviously, I made a big error. Hospital found a meningioma behind the right occipital lobe in my brain, with very slight brain bleed. It scared me. When I returned in a few days after the diagnosis, both Allergist & Primary Care fired me as a patient. I'd gone to see my Allergist, Kraig, & he was having issues w/home health w/his wife who was suffering from MS. He wasn't in a pleasant mood, & neither was his assistant, who made my visit a very sour one, as she was belligerent/ (this was around 2010). To this day, I don't understand what I did or didn't do. I felt so sad, bc I really liked my care @ Oak St. Medical! Above all, I loved both my doctors. I'd recommend them both to anyone, even though I was asked not to come back after my diagnosis.

If you suffer, the shots really did help, but it was a huge commitment. Their billing was professional and easy. Never had a bad experience with them. I was getting two shots twice a week for a few weeks, and then two shots per week, and then it gradually lessens. I stopped due to pregnancy, but the effects lasted and I didn't need much medication last year. I'd pick up and go again, but the lack of a 5th star is because they picked up their office and moved over to Garden Way, a full 20 min drive from where they used to be :( Who wants to drive over there every week? Not me.

Well three strikes you're out and until management and "policy" changes we will take our chances and drive anywhere else but here. I have reported them to the medical board two years ago for LYING about my sons "broken" foot and calling the police on us saying the X-ray showed a break which later i found out the doctor falsified this so that DHS and the police would come investigate. His foot was never broken and not even fractured. The doctor said multiple times how inconvenient it was for her for us to get there too close to closing even though we called ahead of time and the receptionist said as long as we got there BEFORE closing they would never turn us away. Now two years later my elderly father smashed his hand and we showed up at 4:50 with him profusely bleeding and his nail completely off. They refused to treat him and said they are not an URGENT care and we're closing and would not treat him, said that coming in 10 minutes before closing was not enough time to treat him and that since they're a physician office the doctor would not be treating him. I asked why they have multiple HUGE green signs that say URGENT CARE all over their building and by the main road. The receptionist refused to give me the doctors name that was making the choice to not treat someone in her waiting room saying it's "policy". Don't doctors take oaths to do no harm? I will be calling the office manger LEAH tomorrow. I will reporting the facility to the medical Board again and if you have had anything similar to you happen I urge you to call and complain as well. If you're open til FIVE you are open til FIVE. I have worked in the medical field for over 15 years and we would have been FIRED for turning away an emergency patient - we make PROMISES to our patients that when you sign up with insurance contracted THROUGH us we will take care of you!!
