This review is for the auto repair and service and not buying a car. I had a 10:30 appointment on Saturday, 3/29, for an oil change, tire rotation, and 8,000-mile check-up. The service took two hours to accomplish. It was a bit longer than what I was expecting for having a reserved time, but I understand due to the day being a Saturday. There was complimentary coffee and snacks while I waited, and the lobby and waiting area were clean. Though it felt by design that the dealership was in the same building with signs to tell you that you could get more for a trade-in due to the market. It can be annoying since I just got the new car last year. But there weren't any pushy sales people there to sell you a newer car. The service was good. My oil change was free, and the tire rotation wasn't included in the deal of my new car. I also didn't get any pushy upsells of maintenance, which is good. But recommending this place for general car services, I'm not sure about that. I only went due to the free oil change and 8,000-mile inspection. You might be better off going to a regular mechanic. If you have an older and potentially run down car, I can see traps that could have you in a spot that you can be pressured into buying a newer car. read more

TWO WEEKS, THEY SAID I took my 2014 Kia Sorento to Allentown Kia on Thu, July 24, 2025 to replace the A/C condenser. My advisor was Anthony J. The repair seemed fine--until I noticed on Sat, July 26 the front bumper wasn't sitting flush. I returned immediately. Anthony said the bumper had to come off; we booked Mon, July 28. At that visit, I was told a broken bumper clip meant a full bumper replacement that had to be ordered, painted, and installed--"two weeks." In the meantime, they taped my bumper with orange tape "for safety." Through August, every phone call and in-person check yielded the same answer: "two weeks." (Think The Money Pit--two weeks, two weeks, two weeks.) On Fri, Sept 26, I emailed Frank Maglio and Marc Fulmer with photos of the orange tape that had been on the car all summer and my concern it would damage the paint. Marc scheduled me for Fri, Oct 10 and promised a loaner and that the bumper would be on site. Oct 10 (7:30 a.m.): I was told I couldn't get the loaner without a $200 fee--a cost no one disclosed in advance--so I had to leave to grab a credit card and be late to work. Then I was told the job would take another two weeks. Wed, Oct 15: Text update from Anthony--actually "about three weeks" because "just because the bumper is here doesn't mean much; it still has to be installed and painted." Fri, Oct 24: I emailed Jake Lebowitz (GM), attached the paper trail, and said I'd pick up my car and seek legal counsel. When I arrived at 7:30 a.m., suddenly my vehicle was ready. But wait--more issues: On Fri, Oct 31, the hood wouldn't stay up (safety hazard), and my key fob stopped unlocking the car normally. I was patient because the car was drivable, but this was months of delays, surprise fees, and poor communication. I also felt I wasn't taken seriously--at least in part because I'm a woman. Early April of 2025 my wife and I purchased 2025 KIA Telluride from this Allentown Kia 2350 Lehigh Street Allentown Pa. 18103. My sales representative was Lauren Pierce and the sales manager who slithered his way into the optics of the sales manager Dan Medina. I also sent emails about our sales experience to the managing partner GM Jake Lebowitz & the director of operations Eric Watson along with the Gm of Cory Tangir. Whom I would be in contact with about this matter. I want to make this perfectly clear. This is our experience with the people we came in personal contact with while purchasing our automobile. I express this because after speaking with the Gm Cory Tangir. I explained to him I was going to be sharing our experience with Allentown Kia 2350 Lehigh Street Allentown Pa.. For some reason he felt the need to say that I would be affecting the other 50+ employees of this company. This is in no way has to do with trying to harm any of those employees or their families. Especially when I never had any personal contact with them. Let's put that to bed and understand this is our experience with the individuals we came in contact with. If you like to be lied to. If you'd like to have an automobile not equipped with the necessary equipment when you drive off the lot. Have your crossbar roof rack still in the box in the back of your hatch. Along with a plethora of lies from the 2 individuals mentioned above Lauren Pierce & Dan Medina. I have the text messages to prove it. One Saturday I sat in a cubicle for over :90 minutes and all I was doing was dropping off a deposit. While Lauren Pierce was dealing with other potential customers I sat in the cubicle only to be told we needed more money for the deposit. Talk about a waste of time. If you want to purchase a car and not even a week later while sitting in the Service department while the crossbar roof racks are finally being installed. To have the same sales manager (Dan Medina) who was so far up your butt when the sale was in the process walk right by you as you sat by the sliding doors of the service department, to not speak one word to you as he walked by. Says a lot to me about how phony people can be in this car sales business. That's not even all of it. Could not have been even :25 minutes later the sales person Lauren Pierce who sold us the Telluride walks through the Service Department looks me in the eyes and says "how you doing". She doesn't even stop to ask about if my wife likes her new car. How am I doing? Nothing. What's even more unsettling is we were texting that very day about finally getting our durable floor mats. That was the reason I was there. She told me I could come up and get them. Unbeknownst to me and the Service Department who wasn't made aware I was coming for them. She told me they did and of course that was another lie. Now I don't know what the issue is or was? I do know if anyone knows me they know I'm a very easy going person. I keep it simple and always real! I'm not putting on any mask for anyone I come in contact with. I know this probably is an isolated situation that I experienced. For what reason I am still trying to figure that out. For some reason professionalism and common courtesy was lost in translation after the sale was final. Their Service Department was on point and did a great job at what they do in assisting me with things that should have been installed before the car left the lot the day my wife brought her car home. We appreciate the Service Department for what they did for us. Thank You! As for the sales team and the individuals I personally came in contact with (Lauren Pierce, Dan Medina) for the purchase of my wife's car along with dealing with their Gm Cory Tangir after the sale and expressing our sales experience. This review is specifically regarding the service center, as that is my only experience. I have been here 2 or 3 times. I typically go to the Mavis Discount Tire (formerly Jack Williams) at South Mall for routine stuff because they are less expensive and don't try to "up-sell" you like dealers seem to do. Mainly I have been to KIA service center for recalls or more major/specialized issues. Sometimes I have gotten an oil change or inspection at Kia while there if also needed. There are plusses and minuses. KIA is more pricey. An oil change (full synthetic) was $90. I think their diagnostic charge was also more than it would be at a typical auto franchise. That being said, they do offer some "perks" such as complimentary Lyft rides, a comfortable waiting room with coffee, wifi, etc. They also have a convenient system of texting you their recommendations. You can click a link and read through the different recommendations and approve or decline them. This worked well as I could review and reply on my schedule rather than needing to go out of my way to receive or return a phone call. I was having some major issues with my car when I took it to them most recently. I felt they did a solid job of diagnosing the major issues. The car ran a million times better when I picked it up. They also found that i had several lights out. I declined to have the lights replaced there as their price was about $25 per bulb, including installation, and that seemed exorbitant. I purchased the bulbs at Auto Zone and had them installed at Mavis, saving myself about 1/3. Overall, I found the service center staff to be friendly, courteous, helpful, competent and efficient. I'd probably continue to go elsewhere for routine maintenance, but would feel confident going back to KIA for something more complex or KIA-specific. read more

My daughter is looking for a new vehicle as her lease is running out in a few months. We've gone to a few different dealerships and looked at about 6 or 8 different comparable vehicles in her price range. Yesterday, we looked at a Kia Seltos EX that we saw online at Allentown Kia in Allentown, PA. It showed a sticker price of $29,315 and a lease payment of $300 per month for a 36 month lease with only $4000 out of pocket. That's exactly what she's trying to spend, so we went down there .... an hour away. When we get there, the car has an ADDITIONAL sticker added to it by the local dealer which added SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to the sticker price. Now, a $29,000 car is $36,000. I know some dealers are still charging a "market adjustment" which I refuse to pay. But $7000??? on a car that's less than $30,000? Are you kidding me? That's more than a 23% markup! Now a car in which the website shows a $300 lease payment is close to double that! I've attached pics of the stickers here for anyone who may not believe me. $3400 is for a "package" they added which most dealerships throw in for free- ie. oil changes, nitrogen tires, etc. and then another $3500 just shown as "allocation adjustment." I can't IMAGINE who is paying $7000 OVER sticker price for a Kia, but to me, it's a very sleazy way of doing business. They tried to say the KIA website said it was $29,315, not the ALLENTOWN Kia website. ALLENTOWN Kia can add whatever they want. Well, let me tell you something Allentown Kia, I will NEVER EVER set foot into your dealership again. I will never even LOOK at a Kia and I will bad mouth you, with honesty, everywhere I go. I recently brought my car in for an oil change, as I have been for the past 5 years I have had my car. The prices for an oil change have went up about $30 in just a few a months. They also must not do complimentary checks (tires, brakes, etc) because the oil change was all they did and at this point I question if that was done. I needed windshield fluid going in, in the past they have always filled it. Nope, notice still on in the car and no notification of how brakes or tires are, if I need anything done in the future, so for $92 I could have definitely went somewhere else (which I will now be doing). read more

Has a chat with ALLENTOWN KIA regarding the over charge and they refused to fix the situation. If you have purchased a new car from them.. DOUBLE check your purchase agreement.. I guarantee Edwin Serrano-Encarnacion Added SERVICE CONTRACT (mine only had 10 Miles on the odometer), something I never get on a new car. Buyer Beware - High Pressure Sales Tactics + Terrible Customer Experience I don't recommend this dealership. I bought my car from them about a year a half ago (car is great, thanks KIA!) and regret buying from this dealership even today. I would have rather paid more and bought the same car from someone to not experience those tactics. But I was young and trying to get a car so I didn't know any better. Tactic #1: After a few back and forths, one of salesmens tries to get me into a little "contract." He asks me to write on a piece of paper, "I, Sam Lee will buy this car for X" and asks me to sign, date, and initial it to create a secondary contract to make sure "I'm bought in." Tactic #2: Also, there is a great chance that the finance guy dupes you with a warranty. I was upsold a warranty toward the end of the buying process. I requested a cancellation in writing to the finance manager the day I bought the car(realizing it was a total scam) but he was gone from KIA Allentown a week later! Any emails to finance manager old/new come up empty. Calls don't get answered. Guess who's stuck holding the bag? Me. Tactic #3: Will start a "car wash" and detail for your vehicle before you even say you're interested in purchasing the vehicle Avoid the dealership. This is someone who bought their car from them. I can even verify my purchase for those reading, just message me. This dealership will subject you to high pressure sales tactics (that are honestly kinda disgusting) and try to squeeze every dollar out of you. It's really a shame, my entire family buys KIA cars but I will never be buying from this dealership ever again. read more

I stopped in to take a test ride on a used under 30,000 mile car. The car was very good condition. We had agreed to meet next day. I was informed price increase $2500 and three of the sales people had paperwork set and I said this was unacceptable as the car had been on lot for more than 30 days. They also said that I could only finance, they did not accept cash. I decided to leave and commented that I would not be returning, thanks but no thanks. Went to Kia of Allentown for my first service since buying my car, the staff was super friendly and the entire process was super easy from the moment I pulled up until the moment they drove my car right up to the entrance. Unfortunately because I bought the car from another dealer I did not receive their "first service free" incentive. However, luckily I received a maintenance plan with my Kia and that was able to be utilized at other Kia service centers, so I was charged $0 for this service as well as my next service! The waiting area was super clean with free Wi-Fi, coffee and you can even see the status of your cats service right on your phone, and I they even offer a free car wash! I will be happy to bring my car back to this dealer for any service needs and highly recommend them for any service you may need! read more

I would never do business here ever! I was working with Manny, he told me the vehicle was available... we went over numbers and he requested I send in a credit app to lock in the deal. I informed him multiple times I do not want to run credit unless they 100 percent have the vehicle. The next day he tells me I was approved and he is going to pick up the vehicle from logistics ( Lied ) then goes to tell me he needed me to give a deposit.. waited hours for him to call me to take the deposit! Hours go by I text him and he tells me he was in meetings which was another lie. Last minute he tells me they do not have the vehicle and they ran my credit! I called the manager and they told me they were unaware of everything and they would call me back! Of course they never called me back! So I went to Global Kia in New Jersey and purchased my KIA K5. my wife bought a 2024 seltos sx and loved it! Neelo was our sales specialist and we had a great time learning the car and he was very helpful from start to finish. Please look for Neelo to help you get the right vehicle to suit your needs. everyone there treated us as if we were close friends. They had the largest inventory we ever seen. we traveled an hour from our home to find the right SUV. The dealerships near us had nothing that interested us. The sales department at this dealership is just utterly terrible. We walked in fully ready to drive and purchase a Kia from a dealer on Saturday, but ended up leaving within ten minutes of being here due to the lack of professionalism seen. First, we walked around the lot and while salesmen were standing around yelling and laughing with one another, we were not helped at all. Then, we proceeded into the dealer and had to walk up to the counter where 6-7 people were sitting, which would've been fine if they were not DEAD. When we actually got help, a guy named frank came up to us and started talking. We asked to look at a telluride as we heard so much about it. Frank told us they were all sold out, there was no chance of us getting one, and they wouldn't even let us look at a service loaner or used comparable telluride on the lot. We then asked to look inside the sorento, to which he replied with "I guess I'll grab the keys for you". We ended up waiting outside for a long time before he eventually just unlocked the car without coming out. We were out there ten minutes without help when he proceeded to come up to us and say "so right now we're providing market adjustments to these vehicles." I am a former internet manager so I understood and replied "so you're telling me that you'd upcharge me on a vehicle without even letting me test drive it?" And he said "that's exactly right, so if you're thinking of buying just know that we will have that charge." This was extremely off putting and let me know that he wasn't taking us seriously as people wanting to buy a car. I told him we weren't going to buy there since he said that, to which he immediately walked inside and left us there. On July 19, 2019 took a test drive in a 2020 Kia Soul. First, the salesman had trouble even finding the car I wanted to drive. Then I saw he had to jump start the car. I guess Kia doesn't put very good batteries in their cars for a 2020 car to need a jump start. Took the test drive, came back to dealership, the salesman disappeared and the sales manager appeared. He asked the typical questions - When are you looking to buy, etc.. Then he asked if i liked the car. I responded it was just OK and I really didn't like the styling of the Soul that much but was still considering buying one. I asked for a price quote and the sales manager REFUSED to give me a price quote and was extremely rude. He was actually SCARY at that time. I got up and left. I have had my 2008 Kia Amante serviced there ever since I bought the car. The service, until recently, has been good. There are relatively new owners and the service has definitely slipped. it used to be I was greeted warmly, I handed my keys to the service rep and went to the waiting area. I was in recently for a simple oil change. The service rep talked to me like a drill sergeant & told me I had to pull the car. I sat in a line for several minutes to do so. I went to drop off the keys and he told me I had to get the insurance card and registration for him, again in a gruff way. I wrote to the Service Manager, who walks around a lot and sits in his office but never seems to DO anything. like provide service or supervise service. No reply whatsoever. I wrote the General Manage. DItto- not a word. I guess Allentown Kia does not value long term customers. And I am sure others will. read more

I brought my 35,000 car in for an inspection and oil change. This was my 2nd service visit and same as the first time they tried to up sell me on half a dozen items. In particular they said my battery was defective and needed replacement. I own a load adding battery tester and it passed with flying colors twice. I don't trust them and won't return. If you plan on buying a car from this dealership, double check your figures. We emailed the dealership requesting the bottom line price on a car we were interested in. We received an email reply stating " your price is...." We went to the dealership and the first thing we told the sales rep. was we have this price and showed him the email. We test drove the car and decided this was the car we wanted. We went back into the office to do the paperwork. When we sat down, the sales rep. informed us the price we had was not the correct price. That price included incentives we were not eligible to receive. After some discussion over that issue the sales rep. left us to work out what our bottom line cost would be. After some time he came back and showed us a paper with figures and a "bottom line cost". He did go over several of the figures on this list but neglected to mention a down payment that was listed in the calculations. We had never discussed a down payment. So our actual "bottom line cost" was more (by the amount of the down payment) than was listed as our bottom line cost. We got up and walked out. read more

Went to this Dealership on the 4th of July after speaking with Eli about an advertised price of $17,240 on a 2019 Kia Forte LXS. After the test drive and typical sales pitch He comes back with a price of $20,240 with tax, doc $25,000. Said I didn't qualify for any of the Rebates so this is the price. What? Kia is having a National Rebate of $ 2000 off if you have at least credit of 720, I have 834. After getting upset and walking out Manager follows me out, said He had to offer me this or He could get arrested, again what? Told me He would honor the $17,240 if I would come back in, absolutely no faith in this dealership now so left. As written below, buyer beware, these young Sales guys are in competition with each other to ring you up as much as possible then back off when you get mad. Allentown Kia Saw an ad that they had a king ranch 2018 for $29,000. Called spoke to Frank and he told me its a great deal 10,000 below book value. After questions, he insisted it was a king ranch! Drove one and a half hours to allen town KIA to Frank giving me the keys to a 2018 xlt basic model that smelled, had coffee stains on the seats, dirt everywhere, ( I have picture) with cloth seats??? Don't know if anyone knows that king ranch DON'T have CLOTH SEATS , supposed to be top of the line truck??? Allentown Kia tried trick me into buying a king ranch ford truck and pass off a basic xlt basic model? Was shocked that this dealership would have someone drive this distance in these times to be treated like a fool? I am a essential worker and my truck is dying . Drove one and half hours to get a good deal that Allentown Kia and they mislead me disrespectfully. Lost for words! I have bought many of vehicles and have never been so deceived ever!! To be fair, I got kicked out of this dealership, and rightly so. I lost it and truly apologize. So what drove me to this point? I'd call it legal, but deceptive salesmanship. First, called the dealership night before and asked about their inventory, was told they were Market Adjusting the Telluride I was interested in. Not hearing the person clearly, I thought this was reducing the price, come to find out they were Upcharging $3,000 - $4,000 dollars after driving the 60 miles to get there. Once there, had a very good experience test driving with Rob. He is very thorough and explains the car well. (highlight of the day and only reason they got two stars). I looked at the sticker, bottom left, as always, and saw the price quoted online. Told Rob and others three times that the only down payment was the trade in. So negotiations began, and the surprises came out. First of all, I'm a bottom line guy so concentrated on that number. They ran their numbers and started telling me how little they could give me for my 2014 Kia Sedona with 40,000 miles. So as we worked against that number, then started to notice the starting price did not match the sticker. So i told them I wanted to see the sticker again, and sure enough, on the top right, they market it up. (deceptive) They then told me they disclosed it on the phone call last night. I told them the market adjustment was down not up, they said, Ney Ney, and proceeded to pull out the audio tape of the call. They were right, I had misheard the numbers, but "They were audio taping all calls into the dealership". PA law requires consent for recording, and most places you call say that before the call starts. They informed me that their website discloses this, again, legal but (deceptive), especially since I never went to their website. Got the link to the car from Car Guru's. But that still didn't deter me from trying to cut a deal. Started working the bottom line with the third, or fourth manager, not sure at this point, and we were within about $2,000 apart, reasonable to close the deal. That was until he pointed out that a $3,000 +/- downpayment was built into the price. I told him that I had at least 3 times stated the only down payment was the trade in. He said, well that is how I do all my initial offers. So at that point, I lost it, and we parted ways forever. Good news is, Nutley, NJ Kia does NOT work that way. I drove the 100 miles a few days later, no market adjustments, had a great experience and am now the proud owner of the Telluride at my price, and a happy dealership. Tough negotiations as always, but no deception. My advice, if you are going to do business here, understand every number they put on the page, because it may not follow what you tell them. And don't be afraid to walk away and drive east to Nutley to save $$$ Thousands $$$. read more
