I rarely feel compelled to leave reviews, but my experience with this dealership was so frustrating and disrespectful of my time that it warrants a clear warning to others. Before making the trip, I did everything a reasonable customer should do: I called ahead, confirmed that a specific vehicle was physically in stock, and even scheduled an appointment to come see it. Based on that assurance, I drove an hour and a half--one way-expecting a straightforward, professional interaction. Instead, I arrived to find that the person I had scheduled an appointment with was not working and that the vehicle did not exist on the lot. It had been sold months prior. This wasn't a minor oversight-it was either gross incompetence or a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic to get customers through the door. What makes this worse is that there was no accountability, and certainly no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused by their misinformation. The manager's main concern was preventing me from leaving so they could upsell me a different car. A dealership that cannot accurately track its inventory--or worse, misrepresents it--does not deserve your time or trust. I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business here to think twice and be prepared for disappointment. I went in for an oil change and to fix a broken center console. I was told I needed to replace the console air filter etc. $355!!! They charge NY prices in Pennsylvania. They ripped me off once, they won't get a chance to do it again. These people are con artists and I recommend you avoid them at all costs. They prey on the elderly read more

Bought a brand new WRX and the tire blew out due to manufacturer's defect in under a year with less than 10k miles on the dash. They did absolutely nothing to help me out. I had to buy 4 brand new tires and they didn't even offer to help with installation or disposal fees. These guys are dishonest and shady car dealers. Bait and switch, outright lies and unscroupulous business practices. They will not honor any commitment that they make over the phone and scam you into going into the dealer only to screw you once you get there, despite numerous promises that they would honor their commitment. I came to Ciocca Subaru to purchase a car. The inventory looked good and a few friends had also recommended Ciocca. Test drove a few cars but narrowed it down to 3 , all within the same basic price range. Did a workup on my trade in and it was a serious low ball offer. WAY below KBB trade in and what a competing dealer had offered ( range was $4500-7500, and had a $6500 offer). Ciocca offered $1800! HA. I called them out on it but they apparently do not want to sell. Also, the sales team was confused on their own inventory as to what was Certified pre-owned and what wasn't. We purchased a used dodge car From the pre owned lot.... With a warranty and very low mileage. Not two months later a check engine light comes on and we call for service and we are told they won't service the vehicle we have to take it to a dodge dealer. Ohh and the warranty doesn't cover a thermostat. Now we have to pay out of pocket $500. And that includes the $159 fee just to put the diagnose thing in. I'm heartbroken that we were taken full advantage of by Cioca. I purchased a 2018 Buick Encore from this dealership in January of 2024 for $28,000+ with about 70,000 miles on it. Since I had this car, several major repairs had to be done to it, (Throttle sensor, repairs done to the Throttle body, An Oil leak coming from the engine, A coolant leak coming from the cooling reservoir, and the O2 sensors!! The "extended warranty" the dealership offered DIDN'T COVER any of these repairs. To top it all off was when the car suddenly lurched forward yesterday in traffic while I was at a stop light. When I noticed the light turning green and traffic beginning to move, i let off the brake. The car sprung forward (without me pressing on the gas), and hit a car in front of me. Thankfully nobody had been hurt. I have repeatedly emailed the corporate members, Eric Dedig and Gregory Ciocca Jr., about the numerous problems with this car and requested to exchange it with something price comparable but was told that because my credit score wasn't the greatest, I would need to come up with a down payment of 8,000-10,000 for a different vehicle. Great experience with Fernando and the rest of the crew. Told them what I needed and price range and in 2 days I was approved and set up with a vehicle. I just claimed Ch 7 and even with that I got a great deal!! One thing I did not like was they wouldnt hold the vehicle for me. So I had to scramble to get there and get it. I bought a user car there a year and a half ago and have nothing but issues with the car. It burns oil and needs a CAT among other things. It has been back to service 6 time and I gave up. I trying to fix the car and get rid of it now. Go nowhere near this dealership. STAY AWAY! I also have called the finance department 3 times this week to try to get a refund on my GAP insurance and no one calls me back. I would not ever use the bathroom there. (That was part one) I got the GAP insurance worked out after 7 phone calls but it was not easy. I still have this piece of junk. I just dropped 1300 dollars to have the CAT replaced and the spark plugs of ALL things? The mechanic told me there is a very good chance they were the original plugs! They were cracked and had green on the tips. How do you not inspect the plugs before you sell a used car? I am still having issues with the check engine light. It is coding for either the knock sensor because the engine knocks, or the evap system. and to top it all off the engine goes through a quart of oil every 500 miles! Drove roughly an hour and a half to Ciocca Subaru to check out a car in their used fleet. They were friendly and accommodating with the test drive, but unfortunately the car wasn't what I had hoped for. I thanked them when leaving, but mentioned that I'd likely not be coming back due to the drive distance and coming specifically to look at that car. Unfortunately, the barrage of phone calls has still not stopped nearly two months later. I've received well over 50 phone calls from multiple phone numbers associated with the dealership, politely told them on more than one occasion that I am not interested in buying a vehicle and to please stop contacting me, and STILL they persist. I'd avoid this place like the plague unless you want to be subjected to a phone ringing off the hook for months in the event you don't buy a vehicle. read more

Thought we had our minds set between a Mazda CX-5 or Hyundai Sante Fe but we stopped in to Ciocca Subaru with some interest. Same day decided to put a hold on the perfect incoming 2021 Outback in the perfect color! Our only issue was with the Sales Rep we ended up with and his inability to keep his mask on properly. Food open and left out on his desk during the constantly busy and large number of people coming and going, so this equally reflects he doesn't take the pandemic seriously enough. On a sad note, they were still better about masks than a number of other dealerships we visited. I am concerned about all the negative reviews on their servicing. Their used car sales reviews are equally poor but we bought new, so atleast 1 of 2 concerns is moot. Now to decide if servicing is worth the risk. read more

I'd give 0 if I could. I brought car in for inspection. 400 miles later I took to a different place for an oil change that I forgot to have them do, and I find out I had 4 bald tires and the car was out of alignment. They should be ashamed letting a car leave in that condition since a serious accident could have happened. But since the car only had 21,000 miles on it and was a couple of days from the 3 year warranty expiring, I believe they didn't want to have to replace the tires and perform the alignment under warranty. read more

I needed a 3rd car so I bought a Mazda and started to wish a bought a 3rd Subaru.. went over to see what they could do for me and this is the way I was treated ? I thought it was a compliment to this dealership that I was willing to lose money for my 3rd Subaru.. Jeff had me initial a paper agreeing to a certain amount .. get me excited and then comes the "bully" a tall heavy set person and to think that my niece bought her car there last year thanks to my recommendation.. 2005 Nissan Xterra sold me a car for $15,000 that was worth $2,000. Used Car manager Brook from Philly is a snake oil salesman. I will be writing a the CFO about getting the money credited back. At the time of purchase Brook would not negotiate for $10,000 knowing the problems and the value of the car. Brook Needs to be fired for selling a car that he knew would break down within a month and a half. The oil change revealed its true problem. This car has a recall for a transmission. I was better off dealing with a local dealer and a reputable brand name like Ciocca. Before purchasing from Ciocca Philadelphia make sure recalls have been fixed or you may be @$$ed out. Most recent experience very disappointing and frustrating. First we have bought 10 cars from Ciocca last few years (4 daughters) I was in last week to see a 2018 Crosstrek for my daughter,(stock 20184511) listed at 17,495, We liked it and I was willing to put down a 2k deposit (because it was in shop for repairs) When I asked the best price they refused to take off even 1 penny, despite my years of loyalty. They let us walk out, manager would not even come out to explain why. Salesman was visibly embarrassed by this. Fast forward a few days, same car now listed 350 lower. We went to Faulkner Subaru the next day and were treated well, Bought a Outback for our Daughter, Faulkner is now our new Subaru dealer (we have 5 Subaru's) read more

Ciocca Subaru when it first opened in Allentown, handled my free recall. When I was waiting for my car, I was told to go to the shop to see the car on the lift. Showing me underneath the car there was some oil, I was told the head gasket at 55,000 miles needed to be replaced. The cost was $3000 for the repair. I took my car to my mechanic to be sure the work was required. I checked with my mechanic, and the head gasket, although a design flaw in a 2000 model legacy, was fine at 55,000 miles and didn't need replacement until close to 100K miles at a cost of $1,700 by my mechanic. Ciocca in February ( slow time in the shop) tried to cheat me with an unnecessary repair ( I ammiddle aged woman. ) I wrote a letter to the manager complaining about my treatment. He answered me, without an apology or justification for the dealerships actions. I will NEVER do business there and have told other people I know they tried to cheat me. I bought my 2018 Subaru Legacy from the Bethlehem Subaru dealership and was totally satisfied. read more

Mike: I've met other people who feel the same way I do and the reviews on Yelp back up their experience and mine. There are also too many canned responses from the dealership so it looks like an autobot (may not be). If you were helping people, you wouldn't have a need to keep repeating the same offer to help - be proactive. I trust where I've been going now which is why I drive the much-further distance. You can't undo a bought car or the process. I tried getting at least some of the issues corrected with Ciocca and it didn't help then why would it help now. Someone recommended Steve Moyer and Faulkner and their BBB rating is a B- and a B+ and an A+ (Faulkner Subaru Harrisburg). Don't know why this data doesn't seem important to Ciocca because it's important to enough of us. The best thing you could do to help your business (if even needed) is to get your BBB D- rating changed. That would show people the dealership is somewhat trustworthy. But in this crazy world, I wish you luck. read more

Beware of Ciocca's Main (not Express) Service Dept. I took my SUV in for the 30 month/30,000 mile scheduled maintenance required by the Subaru Owners Manual. Since there was only 5,000 miles on the vehicle this makes no sense, but it is still "required." The Service Advisor presented me with a computer generated list of work and had me sign it. He did not disclose that work was added above and beyond what the Subaru Owner's Manual requires. For them to sneak in an unnecessary Brake System Flush, a Front Differential oil change, and Rear Differential oil change is obviously unacceptable. It added $426 to my bill and probably added 30 to 45 minutes to my wait time. This is not the great customer service they "promise." Bottom line: Check what your Subaru Owner's Manual actually requires for scheduled maintenance - and then carefully review their list of work BEFORE you sign it. read more

I went home and the new sticker wasn't on the car. I had no idea it was going to cost me $179. to check the engine light. The charge for the fix would be $4000. I was shocked. They always try to sell you repairs. This is the 3rd visit that has gone wrong. One time my hub cap flew off after my tires were rotated. Another time I was going 65 on route 78 and the hood flew open. I could of been killed. I just don't think I will be back again unless I have to. Very disappointing!! We paid cash for a pre-owned car here and exactly 4 Weeks later the check engine light is on. Took it back and their service team quotes a $1300 repair that "management is not willing to help cover the cost of." We have called and emailed repeatedly and have not even gotten a single return message or acknowledgment from anyone in sales including management. The car has an engine problem which mysteriously per the dealer is not covered under the still in effect manufacturers warranty. Take your money somewhere else! Buyer beware of Ciocca. Well there is good reason to give Ciocca Subaru a very low rating- Their Service Dept are on full scam mode. Brought my Outback in for a checkup and was told I needed $3700 worth of repairs. My extended warranty was over by a month. Prior to the end of Warranty they never found much need for repair. The Service Dept works on commission (as does all dealerships). I took you car to my local garage and had all issues inspected and 90% was not needed!! It cost me $410 and car is perfect. one last thing- all Subaru cars burn oil. Love the outback but burning a QTR of oil every 3000 miles and was told that was normal- horrible!!!Avoid at all costs!!! read more

Ciocca Subaru will not deal fairly.. they don't negotiate well on the purchase price, nor do they give you a fair value on your trade. This is my second experience with them, and I don't think there will be a third! Both situations were for used vehicles. They consistently process used cars above Kelly Blue Book Value, then refuse to budge on the price, but do you think they'll offer you anywhere close to the KBB on your trade? I'm giving 2 stars because the dealer we spoke to was polite. We set up an appointment over the phone. We drove over 2 hours through rain, traffic congestion and stand still traffic, accidents and people pulled over to make it on time.. Which we were.. They were NOT.. Near 45 minutes past our appointment only to have our hopes dashed as the banks were closed. Our credit was run several times this morning for them only to tell us no deal. I have 3 trade ins in good shape for 1 used van your seriously in able to make that possible? I don't believe that at all. No matter what the advertising hype tells you, their service is HORRIBLE!!! Though I was treated very politely, I was given the runaround, with no options to resolve my problem I asked for the manager and waitied interminably, before hanging up. The service advisors don't answer the phone. I have bought two cars from them and will never buy another.

First I had them replaced my seat rail and they scratched all around the place. Was glad they took responsibility and took my car back in to repair. But the paint work was horrible. There was a lot of bubbles on the edge and over spray on other areas that was not mask well. And they scratch my steering wheel this time. Their technician definitely needs to be trained to respect other's car and be careful since scratching problem happened 2 times in a row. update: Went back in today and Ashley was very patient and nice and they are going to fix my vehicle. Final update: picked up the car today. Paint work is ok but steering wheel was installed uncentered initially, had to go back and wasted another hour. Really really really disappointed. And again no one felt sorry about anything. Wasted tons of time driving back and forth and had too much headache. One star for them taking responsibility but there's no service quality. Would never return to this dealer for service. read more

My first Ciocca experience was about 2 years ago. Went in for an oil change on my WRX (I had the maintenance package for free oil changes) they wanted to charge me around $75 because they wouldn't honor the maintenance plan that I got through SUBARU. Called Ertle up and they took care of me right away no problem free of charge. Second experience, I wanted to negotiate a sale price in order to purchase or lease a new car from them. In short I was quoted at $350/M on a 10K/year lease for 3 years.... meanwhile their website has it for $327/M on a 12K/year lease for 3 years. On top of that, I asked if they would honor the Subaru loyalty rebate. I was told no, if you didn't buy the car from Ciocca we do not honor the Subaru loyalty program. I do not like giving bad reviews and I understand their job is to make the company money. In this case it is obvious this dealership is there more for the Ciocca name rather than Subaru and/or any of the other brands they sell along with giving their customers a fair deal. read more

My son test drove a new Outback and after speaking to me he called Friday afternoon to put a deposit to hold the car until he could get there on Monday. He is a paramedic and was starting a 36 hour shift. The sales manager Corey Janda said they would not take a deposit because this was a high demand car and my son had a trade in that they might not offer him trade in value for which might mean he wont want to buy the car. SO I guess that means they might have a difficult time selling this high demand car. Hmmm makes sense..... to no one. This is one place I wouldn't send my worst enemy to. And if this is how they treat their customers when supply is low they definitely won't be getting my business when dealerships are struggling to make a sale again. Customer service is everything. It should be every dealerships top priority. Especially over how fast can we sell this car. read more

We have been going to this place for almost 4 years now to have our outback checked and all. Nothing but good service, however we just bought a new 2019 Ascent and we were one of the few owners who bought a RECALLED car and so my husband went to have it checked. He got a loaner car, a new Crosstrek and used it to go to work. At the end of the day he was not able to replace the gas because he was in a hurry to go home so I could use the car to go to my job. Gas was barely used and now this dealership is asking us to pay $7. Such stingy people. If you were not selling a RECALLED car then we would not be going to use a loaner anyway!! read more
