WARNING WARNING WARNING - Do NOT trust this dealership with your vehicle own a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport (approximately 67,000 miles), which was brought to the dealership for a documented oil consumption issue previously identified by the dealership. The vehicle was placed under an oil consumption test and remained in the dealership's possession for over one month. During the testing period, the vehicle experienced a major engine failure, including multiple warning indicators and confirmed internal engine damage. The vehicle was diagnosed with cylinder damage and internal engine failure. Initially, the dealership attempted to attribute the failure to spark plugs. However, the spark plugs had been replaced by the same dealership approximately 10,000 miles prior, which was documented. Despite this, warranty coverage was initially questioned based on this explanation. The vehicle was later repaired under warranty after further escalation and review. Following the return of the vehicle, I immediately observed that the engine remained excessively loud. I was initially advised that this condition was normal. I returned the vehicle multiple times for further inspection. I was later informed the issue was related to the intake manifold. The dealership stated the manifold was replaced; however, the noise persisted. I was subsequently advised that the manifold had "failed," raising concerns regarding whether the repair was properly completed or accurately diagnosed. After each subsequent visit, additional issues were present that were not previously reported or observed prior to dealership possession, including: * Activation of airbag warning system * Exterior lighting malfunction * Damage to undercarriage plastic components * Improper reinstallation of engine-related components/clips On one occasion, upon immediate pickup, I did not leave the dealership parking lot before the same abnormal engine noise was again clearly present. I was then informed that the vehicle required replacement of calipers, rotors, and brake pads. This was inconsistent with prior documentation indicating only normal brake pad wear. Additionally, I was informed that the vehicle had been driven over 100 miles while in the dealership's possession. Throughout the course of service, I experienced inconsistent communication, lack of adequate assistance regarding towing and rental support, and conflicting statements regarding loaner vehicle availability. I purchase a 2025 Tucson on April 8th. I really like the car. But as I was looking and finalizing the purchase I noticed an issue with the head unit. I pointed it out to the sales person. He told me it was normal and would correct itself. So I trusted them and purchased the car. Turns out the issue I noted is a factory defect and the head unit needs to be replaced. Now my new car is in for service because the part is back ordered. So I don't have my new car. The sales person doesn't seem to think this is a problem. The sale is done and now I just wait for my car to be serviced and the part is on back order so who knows when I will have my car. I fell for a bait and switch tactic with a slick salesperson who nearly doubled their online offer once I was in the dealership. The original offer was confirmed through text messages and a phone call. Of course they did not respond to my requests to honor their original quote and ignored future texts and emails. Hyundai Service is horrible. I scheduled an appointment for a car repair on a Thursday, 9 Nov 2023. Delivered the car on Wednesday night. Heard nothing about diagnosis or estimated cost by 3 PM Thursday. Tried to contact service agent but got voicemail and asked for callback. No call back. Same thing happened on Friday - no call back. Same thing again on Saturday morning - no call back. Send email to dealership management about noon Saturday which triggered an agent callback mid-afternoon Saturday. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate Hyundai customer communication process as a zero. It took 2 1/2 days for a service agent to contact me after repeated attempts and that only occurred because I had to pressure top management. read more

That means that my personal information was likely stolen from the company computer system and used to access my information online for private purposes. Given that this is, no doubt, a violation of company policy, it is likely a state crime as well. My 2013 Hyundai Santa Fw Sport is a solid car. I purchased this car here 12 months ago. I brought it back for oil changes (first oil change is free), state inspection and emission test, etc. The service dept takes about an hr on Saturday mornings for oil changes and about an hr and a half for an oil change plus inspection/emission test. The old saying that the two of the hardest trustworthy things to find in life are a dentist and a mechanic could never be more true when it comes this establishment. Every time I come here I would be told that my car needed over $1000 in repairs. I even put this to the test - I took their report to a trusted car dealer of the family that was over an hour away (which is the only reason I was trying a different place) who summarily explained the complete falsity of their report. Experimentally, I came back to this Hyundai service center and told them that all of the fixed had been made elsewhere and invited them to inspect my car again. Surprise surprise when they now said nothing was wrong (no repairs had been made to the car)! Seriously have never had a mechanic in all my years of driving that is such a crook. Do NOT service your car here. I don't know if it's because I'm a young female they feel they can just tell me whatever and I'll believe them or what but they are extremely untrustworthy! Honestly after this I have no fathomable idea why I returned to this establishment. I guess I had the naive thought that since I had proved them to be trying to take advantage of me before they would stop and be upfront and truthful moving forward. I went for a simple emissions inspection and again the same over $1k in repairs needed. This time I blame myself because I should have never even come back here and I will never come back here. On top of all of this it would be remiss of me not to comment on the wait times. With an appointment I still waited up to 3 hours for my car on 2 separate occasions which is frankly ridiculous. Cherry on top of it all - waste of time and money. And then to top it all off the owner responds to my review with disparaging comments about the year and mileage on my car. Very professional. And he also clearly did not read my post thoroughly because his response completely misses that my initial complaint is not about the inspection today. This was a great experience! Chris Schmidt was a fantastic sales rep! Often it's exhausting to go into a dealership but Chris made the experience painless and instead enjoyable. Filled with jokes and witty comments, my wife and I enjoyed the light hearted approach to this process. Our 2011 sonata had complete engine failure. We got it towed there and was told there was a recall and it was totally covered! Tom Muldoon was our service advisor and let me tell you he was awesome! Helped us with all our questions was quick to call us immediately and tell us it was covered under warranty. He called and kept in contact with us through the whole process which made it so much less stressful. I have another car we bought from another dealership that had the transmission go and that was a nightmare working with that other dealership. Tom made working with lehigh valley Hyundai so easy and because of that we will be buying another vehicle from them! Since buying my car in October, I would occasionally get messages asking me to call back for "important information about my Hyundai." When I would call back, I'd get directed to sales. Turns out these were *recall notices.* I only found this out because my car lost power in the middle of the highway. I brought the car to the nearest Hyundai dealership and, sure enough, there were known issues. The messages could have said "there is a recall." Alternatively, I could have been directed to the appropriate party when I called back. Instead, I had to call back just to find out what it was about--and when I did, I got somebody trying to sell me another car. I never found out there was a recall until it was too late. read more

Back in the early 90's I worked in the front office for a Chevy dealer and we did ALL the cliche things (pre-Internet) that everyone knows about now: We made you sit and wait for a manager to confirm the deal, did the 4-square worksheet, did everything and anything to stop you from leaving the lot, gave you the really hard sell, showed you the "invoice" (wink, nudge) and insisted you'd be taking food out of my family's mouth with this deal.... And here we are almost 25 years later and I was a little surprised to find the same tactics out there. I need a new car. I have the money. I was considering a Hyundai because I liked the warranty and the styling, but clearly they're running this dealership hardcore like it was 1992. My 2nd & 3rd service appts with this dealer also scores a 5-star rating, although there was a little bit of a mix up with the service dept. My 2nd visit was simple oil change. They took care of everything quickly and treated me well. Unfortunately, they neglected to catch a recall for my car before closing me out and sending me home. They also forgot to wash my car. Since I'm a new customer, I didn't realize until later that this was a service that they routinely provide. My 3rd appt: Fixing their mistake. The reason why I'm giving this dealership another 5-star rating is because of the way they responded to their mistakes. I live far away. Driving back to this dealer for the recall would have been a pretty big hassle. The VP quickly reached out to me and actually offered to send a technician to my home to fix the problem! AMAZING!! The repair was quick and the tech was courteous and clean. Everyone has a bad day and makes mistakes... What I love are companies like this one that stand by their dedication to quality and customer service and go out of their way to make things right. I was debating whether this should be one or two stars. My review has nothing to do with any one thing specifically or in particular but rather the overall service. I have been a customer here since 1995 and have purchased many cars here as well as had service done. The drive here is a pain in the neck and i can't stand when I need service and have to make the 40 minute drive, but I loved this dealership and the service so I did it anyway. However over the last few years service has just been going downhill. I've come in for oil changes and asked them to check certain concerns but have been given my car back with no mention of my request and it was never checked. Parts that needed to be ordered and they would call me when it's in only to have a year go by with no call. I have brought my car in and actually had them not even check it but rather say "Oh...I know what that is." and not check it and were wrong and my problem remained. Where I used to have a 7:00 am appt and wait maybe an hr for an oil change now has taken numerous time 3 hours...umm, that's the point of an "Appt!" I've gone to other places that were packed with cars and a full waiting room thinking I'll never get out of here but given my car back in 30 minutes to an hour because "I had an appt!!" The list goes on but I won't waste space. But needless to say the service has been terrible lately. Oh wait..here's a good one. They failed my car for inspection. According to them my brakes were so bad the car couldn't pass. I wouldn't let them fix my brakes because they are way too expensive so I went to Firestone (much better price and a guarantee). Now..."Firestone" who makes their money by selling brakes and tires... you would think sees an opportunity here to make some cash. "Yea, those brakes are bad, we'll replace them." Nope! They said, " the Brakes are fine, we would pass you on inspection." The same thing happened when I brought my wife's car in. They said the tires were bad. I went to Firestone...you know the "tire place?" Nope....tires were fine. Yea...I think I'm done. It's been a long relationship. Close to 30 years. But it's not the same dealership. read more

Should it really take 2 hours 20 minutes for oil change when I made an appt at 7:30am and there were only 2 other customers there before me (presumably, they had appts at 7am)? At 9:30am, when asked how much longer it would take, got snippy response from two different people and was reminded "this is not Jiffy Lube". Customer service 101: apologize to your customer. I realize something unexpected may have happened to delay my service, but why not tell me that or, at least, admit you messed up. Purchased a new Kona from them recently. They had to find it from another dealership , took almost two week until they had it on the lot . It was raining the day I picked the car up , it was outside ready to go . The next day I went outside and looked the car over and noticed some deep scratches in the paint in a few locations. I called the dealership they admitted that they didn't look it over as closely as they should of before I took it home. They told me to bring it on they will buff out the scratches. I took it in and about an hour later they said my car is ready . Upon inspection I noticed they did not fix the scratches. The service manager told me that the scratches are too deep to buff out, it needs to be painted. My requests to have it fixed was initially met with " we are working on it" . I purchased a new 2020 Hyundai Elantra in January 2020 from Lehigh Valley Hyundai. I was replacing an 8 year vehicle to ensure that I had reliable transportation to work. I had not had any major issues with my old car and was just trying to play it safe by upgrading. At 5500 miles the transmission failed on my brand new Elantra leaving me stranded on the side of the road. This caused me to be late for work along with my wife having to leave work to drive me to the dealer for a loaner. I was not able to ride with the tow truck due to Covid. I thought this was a fluke and did not do anything about the problem at that time. At 17500 the transmission failed again causing me to be late to work for a 2nd time in 8 months. This has caused issues with my employer due to the unexcused lates being within a rolling 12 month period. I filed a complaint with Hyundai. After a couple of weeks of phone tag, I was told they would not do anything for me. I talked to Lehigh Valley Hyundai about helping me out of that car and into another. They offered to take the car as a trade for $9000 less then I paid for it 1 year ago and just give me the Hyundai rebate off of a new car. I guess they felt they should profit again my misfortune. In summary: If you want a reliable car, I would advise you pay a little more and get a better quality manufacturer's car. If you have to get a Hyundai, be very careful about who you buy it from. Some dealers care about their customers and some only care about profits. I am still out the wages I lost from being late, along with my wifes lost wages all from a "brand new" car. No one has offered to do anything for me. I guess I am supposed to be grateful that they fixed it for free. Think carefully if you do not want to end up in my situation. read more
