Due to the other place may have missed something so I did appreciate him for that so i went ahead and chose to trust him to not scam me like other mechanic places have. I'm so glad i did after he checked my car he brought me back to show me the part the supposedly needed to be replaced and he showed me that it worked PERFECTLY. He told me the piece that actually needed to be replaced. Thanks to trusting my gut and Tom i saved $700!! I was so thankful that i bought him and his team cookies! Thank you guys :)

Gentlemen came out who was not a tech, took the temp of the air coming out of vents, looked at the compressor clutch then depressed the schrader valve on the system to see if there was refrigerant. Next step would be a $400 drain and recharge.

He told me he would take a look at my vehicle and get back with me that same day. I called daily for 3 days as he made me the same promise. After the third day, he picked up the phone and told me, "I haven't called you back!" How rude! After I asked why he hadn't looked yet, he said to come pick it up. I guess they're too busy to even care. Do yourself a favor, these people are so busy your insignificant car problems mean nothing to them. If having your vehicle looked at in a timely manner is something you dare bring up, be prepared to be lied to and dismissed.

I had an issue with the AC in my 2017 GMC Yukon. It was diagnosed by a mechanic (and also what I…read morebelieved it to be) as the driver's side AC blend door actuator needing replacement. I won't go into why I didn't have the original mechanic that diagnosed to issue do the repair. I had some bad experiences with two different shops local to me, so I looked a little further afield for a new shop. I took my Yukon the Rusty's about a 35 minute drive from my home and explained the situations and symptoms. They took my car into their shop and in about 15 minutes came back, said the problem was fixed. It was a simple "reset" of the positions on the blend doors accomplished with a scan tool. I tried to settle up, and was told there was no charge. Very happy with Rusty's and I will come back if I need anything and I will also refer anyone else I know to them.

They charged me $315 for a diagnosis and told me the steel fuel tank had rusted through and was leaking fuel into the cargo area. They recommended replacing the fuel tank, hoses and lines, fuel filter, and sending unit at an estimated cost of approximately $7,000. I was skeptical because the fuel pump had recently been replaced, so I took the car to another garage for a second opinion. They found that the leak was coming from the fuel-tank sending-unit gasket...a $10 part. They replaced the gasket, and the leak stopped. They also determined that the fuel tank was not rusted out and the fuel pump was fine. I returned to Rusty's and requested a refund of the $315 diagnostic charge because their diagnosis was incorrect and could have led me to spend thousands of dollars on unnecessary repairs. They refused. I have taken other vehicles to Rusty's in the past. Their customer service has always been very good, but I have previously questioned some of the work they recommended and the prices they charged. After this experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any major repair here.
