TL;DR: They do things to your car without telling you and hack things off…read more These people (while working on unrelated systems on my car) cut the brake shield off of the car. They didn't use the bolts the manufacturer handily located to make taking the brake off easily. Nope, they _hacked_ it off, literally. When my mechanic father called to ask the about this, they said they "had to" hack the brake shield off, because it was in the way. Didn't even defend it. Didn't remove it properly, seeing as it is manufactured to be removable; sawed/cut it off. They had the _gall_ to actually argue and try to defend mutilating a vehicle without even telling the owner what they did to their car. Troubleshooting a stalling issue, they went ahead and replaced the spark plugs. They are very bad to go ahead and most unprofessionally do things to your car without asking or informing you until after the fact. Well, it turns out that they put the incorrect spark plugs into this vehicle. On the same car, they _also_ took most of the emergency brake assembly off the vehicle. They weren't supposed to be touching it. They weren't asked to even look at the emergency brake. They didn't inform the owner that they even looked at it, let along touched it; they just stole parts and let the owner leave with a non-functioning emergency brake they caused, without telling them. This is a hilly region. They could have killed someone by doing this, but I guess they were hoping I would come back when I "discovered" the emergency brake no longer worked. Do not go to this shop. They will do things without asking you, behaving very unprofessionally, put on incorrect parts, literally _chop_ parts off (and not even tell you) while also being overpriced compared to some other local shops. Then, after they do all this, they will smile at you and tell you "it's ready for the next thousand miles!"

I cannot say enough good things about Josh at What the Hail Body Shop in Morgantown, WV. My car…read morecaught on fire in the middle of nowhere, and I was left to my own devices to find someone to try to repair it. I live in Texas, but fortunately, my son lives in Morgantown. The minute I told Josh my situation, I could tell he was honest, extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely looking out for my best interest! Josh knows his stuff not only when it comes to vehicle repairs, but he understands how to work with insurance companies. In my case, my vehicle ultimately ended up being totaled, so the shop didn't even make any money from my situation. But that never deterred Josh from helping me. He could have easily gone along with what my insurance company wanted, but he continued to fight for me and what was the right thing to do. That says a lot about Josh's character and integrity. That kind of honesty and expertise is hard to find these days. I trusted Josh throughout the entire process (he was honestly the only one that I felt was shooting straight with me) and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend What the Hail to anyone who needs body work or finds themselves dealing with an insurance claim. You can feel confident that Josh knows what he's doing and will look out for you - not just what makes the shop money. Thank you, Josh, for being someone I could trust when I really needed it! You are simply the BEST!!

A year ago, they could not properly perform an alignment on my vehicle and told me I needed to have extra hardware installed which required over $300 in work. I took it to a trusted friend at Kress Tire in Pittsburgh and they aligned it just fine. Thought, alright, just a young mechanic's mistake, took an experienced fella to get it done right. Took it back later to have my vehicle inspected, I received a vehicle that was in fact inspected, but with a quote that "your exhaust has a slight leak and we will pass it this time, but will cost about $1,800 to repair next time" to which I rolled my eyes. I later took it to Deep Hollow in Albright, and the honest mechanic repaired it in an hour, very fine work for less than $200. It gets worse. Had the A/C refilled at Deep Hollow (my now trusted shop) But the pump had previous issues, and now required replacement. Shop didn't have time to fit me in before I leave for my road trip, so I tried Tire Lame again (not a typo) figuring hey, they can't strike out a third time, right? Right? Handed a very specific work order to only replace the A/C compressor. Quoted me $500 to replace my compressor. I brought the vehicle in, they then increased the quote to $800, to which I refused. Time to pick the vehicle up. I received the vehicle with no cruise control response (I am disabled in my right leg and always use CC) When I returned home, I traced the vacuum lines to find the careless mechanic had broken a nipple to the vacuum line just above the high pressure nipple for the A/C system and neglected to repair it afterward. Not to mention fully disconnecting the CC linkage on the throttle. That's not the worst. I delivered the vehicle with a full tank of gas, I picked it up an 1/8 under, with my dash cam wires disconnected. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO WORK ON YOUR VEHICLES. I've never seen such negligence. The only reason and the ONLY reason they get two stars, is they have good prices on tires. And the quality of tires has yet to be proven. Maybe I'll come back and rant about that too. If you made it this far, call someone else. You've obviously had your doubts. DM me if you want the video showing the post-pickup video of the issues they left me with and the repairs that I'll never get the time back for. Have a good day y'all, and stay away from shops like this.

Where do I start, I was A employee for Gerry Raymond in fairmont for years! I have worked for alot…read moreof dealerships in my life and this is absolutely ridiculous. I I loved working there until the new General Manager started Scott Warner in January of 26. Scott was very unprofessional to me, never approached me to see how I was doing, but always wanted to talk to the other Detailer and did this to many of his employees. I worked in detail and had alot of stuff that I brought/bought with my own money because they couldn't afford to get us anything besides chemicals so over the years i had to make it a home away from home. He fired me on grounds of budget cuts. But blaming it on the normal stuff iv been doing there for years. I even offered to lower my pay 8 dollars on the hour and he still couldn't keep me. Also i bought a 2017 Silverado from them and come to find out, i went on vacation the week it came in on trade and they were going to wholesale it because it needed alot of work done too it. But they decided to put it on the lot AS IS. When i got back from Vacation i was looking for a reliable truck. One of the salesman who also knew about the problems with the truck and didn't tell me anything, reminder this to too one of their long term employees. I bought it and the next day and put 15k down cash, I found out from multiple mechanics that it needed two motor mounts, a transmission mount and a fuel pump. I went to Scott and told him about it which he agreed he will get fixed for me, but then three weeks later he fires me. Also they do not EVER do the Permaplate product on your new vehicle even when you are forced to pay for it, we did it maybe 1 or 2 times the right way, all they do is put a high gloss product on your vehicle, so don't fall for their tricks! There has been multiple vehicles that they sold AS IS knowing that multiple problems is on the vehicle and still sold it to the customers. I recommend nobody EVER buy a car here. I will miss everyone there. It was good while it lasted, but I had to make this review to be honest with people in Fairmont. And i know Scott is going to reply something on this just know this is the truth! Gerry Raymond needs too do better
