The shower pan was installed with no liner....that's literally bathroom construction 101. Which means I'm going to have to rip out both shower pans and have them redone costing me thousands of dollars and delaying me renting out the property. Stay the hell away from Russ. This guy is a straight-up con artist who steals and leaves a trail of destruction and unpaid bills. The work he did/subbed out on my shower was a complete joke. It's leaking through the floor pan, rotting the baseboards, drywall, and flooring. I had to chase Russ down just to get the subcontractor's contact info--(don't forget, I paid half of the shower cost direct to the subcontractor when it was already in the budget and was Russ's responsibility but I needed the job done). Russ blew all the money I gave him and it was NOT on my job because he barely bought anything. When I finally called the subcontractor, he told me Russ NEVER paid him the other half--what a shock. The subcontractor promised to get back to me in a week, then promptly disconnected his phone. And I'm sure you can guess Russ quit answering my calls and texts. So not only did Russ steal money from me, but he also ripped off his own subcontractor and left me with a total mess. Russ is the definition of a crook. He'll leave you with unfinished work, unpaid contractors, and a pile of garbage that costs you even more to fix. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS. Worst experience ever.

She…read morestarted off asking me a few questions about my project, what I needed done, and what my budget was going to be. I told her I needed the kitchen, master bathroom and guest bathroom remodeled. Mind you, there will be no major floor plan changes, plumbing changes, nor electrical changes, so permits will not be needed at all for this 2200 sqft home. All I am doing is replacing what is there. My kitchen is about 14' x 14' with cabinets along two opposite walls, with a 7 foot peninsula coming out of one end, with upper cabinets only on one wall. The first thing she does is take my address and goes online to find pictures of my house on a real estate website to "guestimate" what my kitchen will cost based on photos that she looks at. She tells me $50,000. That's when I got suspicious about this place. I had three other estimates for my kitchen with measurements actually taken and they all came in around $25000. But the real kicker came when she gave me estimates for my two bathrooms based on photos again. Mind you, she has no idea of the sizes for these bathrooms, but based on the overall square footage, she knows it's not a 5000+ sqft home. For my guest bathroom, which is about 13' x 6', all I need replaced is the vanity, mirror, lights, toilet, and the alcove tub with tiling in the tub area, a simple job and nothing major. She quotes me $40,000. I nearly passed out, and now I'm thinking something is up. For the master bath, which is approximately 17' x 7' which includes a 6' x 5' shower (with interior tiling), two vanities, mirrors, and lights. She quotes me $60,000. Yes that's right, $60,000. That's when I knew something was up. (A) She either has no clue as to what she is doing, (B) they are giving me these outlandish prices because they are in high demand due to these times we are in at the moment and they just want to throw the highest most ridiculous price out there hoping it will stick, and if doesn't, no sweat off their back because they will just move on to someone who will pay their outlandish prices due to the demand, or (C) she was trying to dissuade me into wanting them to do the job because my budget ($50,000) wasn't worth their time and effort. I think (C) is most likely, if not all the above. Then come to find out there is a $5500 fee to have someone come out to take measurements in order to draw up a pretty design on a computer to get actual true estimates of what this project would cost. So you can see why I'm thinking (C). Please note, If you go to their page on Houzz you will see nothing but all 5 star reviews, not a 4 star or lower in site, and you will also see multiple completed projects with the same level of remodel I proposed, all done for under $50,000, completely proving my point. I will definitely be staying away, and finding a more honest business!

A few years ago they did our kitchen. We get compliments on it all the time. They spent tireless hours searching for the perfect sink we picked out and couldn't find in stock! Sorry the picture is a little dark, but the island has open shelves on this side of the picture. The kitchen also includes a microwave drawer, trash can drawer, specialty drawers, pull out drawers in some of the cabinets, soft close, etc. We have now recently hired them again to do our bathroom after severe water damage. They fit us in and gave us a better than ever bathroom in a reasonable time. They also gave us all the documentation we needed for our insurance company. We also had them recently do a custom craft room. It's also amazing! They made my dream come true and figured out exactly how to lay it out so everything would be setup perfectly in reach for all my different projects! We were on a tight timeline as I was seven months pregnant and wanted to get the project completed before our baby was born. For over two months we sat patiently waiting for the previous company to finish their job and they never did. We got a referral for Richard Peel from the Arizona Tile preferred vendor list and from the first phone call I knew they were sincere and on their game. They are a three-generation family business and although they couldn't start immediately, they sent out someone to put together an estimate right away. They needed two weeks and we're willing to use the existing materials we had already purchased and put together a very fair quote. They started the demo and project right on time and stuck to their timeline. Every day they had someone come out and do something to continue to move the job forward. Tom, their tile guy, did a phenomenal job and worked with us to get the exact final outcome we hoped for. Everyone from the company was courteous, tidy, punctual, and trust worthy. When we were scheduling, they were booking a month out. And, I think it's important to note, this is a finishes company: they do the fine finishes, not a spackle and patch sort of deal. So, if you want to change the texture on your walls or ceilings, do something dramatic with your stucco, or patch a section of your wall or ceiling without redoing the entire thing... these are your peeps! Associated finishes came out, scraped the finish, cut out and replaced the dry wall and restored the finish and painted to match the rest of the ceiling so well, you can't even tell they were here! They laid plastic on our floors and to cover the countertops and appliances to minimize dust and swept up after themselves. Seriously! You'd never know they were here, except the ceiling is magically back to normal. My compliments to Martin and Luis -- craftsmen! I even commented on how Luis mixed EXACTLY the right amount to cover the patch... no waste! And, they were great communicators throughout the project, letting me know how long it would be between steps and what the next step would be.
