I made a call to the office on emergency due to gum swelling, swollen face, and being in excruciating pain. They got me in right away only to be very dismissive about my concerns. From the moment I sat in the chair all the way to the completion of visit. I came into their office looking like this... And they did a quick fix with Peridex. I was denied antibiotics and was told to come back in a week. I also stressed I was recently diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease and couldn't take nsaids. They said to but otc Tylenol Extra strength which didn't end up helping. I called to advise the pain and swelling had gotten worse the next day. The receptionist said Dr. George said not antibiotic and if I had trouble eating to do protein shakes. And again to come back in a week. I had to then reached out to my primary Dr. Office about it and dr. Fernando was able to get me in on emergency visit. He was befuddled as to why I was refused decent care and could clearly see inflammation where dr. George passed it off as looking "irritated." Dr. Fernando prescribed me clindamycin and pain medication. I then received a call the very next day from Kelly whom seems to be the only person in the front office who is genuinely sincere. She was very apologetic but I had told her I am never coming back as a patient there due to how I was treated by the receptionist and Dr George. I advised her all that they put me through including me having to search out a whole new dentist in the neighborhood. Which I felt was totally unnecessary since both myself and daughter had been going here for the longest time. I did locate a new dentist thankfully and they took me under their wing right away. Did several images including panoramic and saw major infection. They offered to use a tool to drain pus from my gums to give some sort of relief from the pain. I gave them permission. And $217.00 after running through my insurance was the cost. They too were befuddled why Ironwood didn't handle my issue or concern properly or professionally. I wish that Harvey Arnce wouldn't have ever left the Ironwood Dentistry Practice. Dr. George may have degrees, experience, and come off kind and caring. But his undertone comes off and cocky and dismissive. Please be warned that the pictures or images may be a bit disturbing of me the day that I went into Ironwood Office to be treated only to leave their office in great pain and disgust. I also forget to mention the infection was so bad that it caused my lips to also swell.

Wow. What can I say about this facility... It started with a warm welcome from Ashley getting me checked in. I then get taken back and see the hygienist Janet. She was full of wisdom and knowledge and very thorough in her examination communicating every step of the way!! We then made our way to the star of the show, Dr. Mark Brouillette. This man was the most caring doctor I have ever met. This is a man who genuinely wants to help people and isn't in this field for the money like everyone else. He was incredibly honest and beyond fair. So much so that this man literally brought tears to my eyes. He made me feel soooo comfortable and made sure I was taken care of. He not only was going to be able to fix everything, he also showed me the teeth that needed to be fixed in the other places opinion was a complete attempt to rob me, as I didn't know any different. He is one of the few people I healthcare that are in it for the right reason and not money!!! He then went to work on a price with Daniel, who was an absolute dream to work with. Daniel came and let me know and it was a cut in literally half for more work than the other place!!! This place deserves 10 stars and have earned my business for life!!!! Thank you Modern Dental and it's staff!!!! You literally changed my life!!!

I'm so glad that I listened to my instincts and got a second look from Dr. Thomas. The office was super flexible in getting me scheduled during a convenient time, and everyone I interacted with was so courteous and kind. During the exam, I was praying it was nothing because I would have done ANYTHING to avoid a crown! After a closer look, however, Dr. Thomas found that the situation was even worse than a cracked tooth. The 10 year old filling was simply never done well enough to begin with and resulted in underlying problems that caused me pain and cold sensitivity for almost a decade. The way Dr. Thomas put it: "They did a half measure back then, but we will give it a full measure so you don't have trouble with that tooth again." I couldn't believe my last dentist never saw that this was an issue. I'll spare the details on a public forum, but once we went forward with a root canal and crown, all of Dr. Thomas' findings from the initial exam turned out to be correct and the work he did very likely saved my tooth, and saved me from so much more suffering. Now that my crown is in, I have had no sensitivity or pain and I honestly didn't realize how much discomfort I had been in for so long until it was corrected! Even though this office is further from my home, I will be looking to move my whole family to the trusted care of Dr. Thomas + team. You only get one set of permanent teeth -- don't leave it up to half measure effort.

A week later, I get a call form Orangewood saying I owed a copay for the cleaning, in the amount of $60. They had changed the code of the procedure without telling me! To me, it's a clear bait and switch, which is classic fraud. Of course, I considered the rest of the plan I'd been given void--what would stop them from changing codes in the future? And if the plan was void, the practice is void. I canceled the rest of my appointments with Orangewood. By the way, I did make another appointment to have an extraction the same day as the cleaning. It took the dentist almost two hours to extract the tooth. That's not right. I've had other extractions, so I know what to expect, and what I got at Orangewood was unacceptable.
