Both of my flights were delayed, the staff would not help with any information regarding the flight being late.

I travel a lot and this is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown with. Not only do they nickel and dime you at every opportunity but they are one of the most incompetent companies I've ever seen. My last flight they delayed without explanation only to completely cancel the flight because the crew was timed out as they hadn't bother to schedule a crew that could actually fly the plane! Then issued a measly voucher and a motel and refused to give information about when the flight was rescheduled. I could have driven to my destination faster than it took to clear up this bumbling mess. Save your time and money and buy a ticket from a real airline. It's worth it. read more

I flew from Las Vegas to Austin for $60 and back for $38. I have to say first the flight attendants on the flight back were AMAZING! This was the first time my 15 month old daughter had ever flown. I was terrified I would be one of those horror stories where passengers had to listen to a screaming child for 2 plus hours. I choose the last seat on the left side in a hope to muffle her fussiness. The flight attendants helped play with her as she got irritable. She is at that stage where she likes dropping her toy to see if someone will pick it up. For about 5 literal minutes the gentleman on the flight back from Austin played this game with her. He was superb. She did cry during a few intervals, but I was made to feel welcome and appreciated. I also didn't find out until Austin boarding that my carseat flew free. Out of Vegas I had it in a black garbage back, but after security and 17 days in Texas, the bag was destroyed. So, a very nice man at Lowes in Austin gave me a clear bag to put the car seat in. (I was there hoping to buy some, but he just gave us one.) When the ticket woman saw the car seat she said she would get us a refund on the checked bag fee. The $43 was returned to our bank the next night. The other passengers were also very kind and accommodating. I sat next to the kindest woman on the way out of Las Vegas who put me at ease about my daughter's fussiness. The flight out we did not prepay for our seats and my husband was left sitting across the isle from me with our daughter, but on the flight back we paid the $19 to sit in the back next to each other. With those fees it was still cheaper than flying any other airline and the people really made it such an incredible value! read more

Not worth one star! After being told I needed to pay $100 for my purse and laptop my husband handed him our credit card as I told the gate agent he was a peon with a God complex. He refused to allow me or my husband on the plane. He wasn't joking! He said he was the supervisor after he refused to talk to us. I say he was a BULLY. I wish I had videoed him! We had to pay $400 each to take Delta the next day. Allegiant Corporate backed him up even though my husband didn't say a word and wasn't involved. Great Falls Montana is not the place to fly with Allegiant. This guy needs to be fired! We are 50ish and were sober. I think he was looking for people who could afford to be charged more at the gate. This is by far the worst airline to ever fly on. The flight attendants are not professional. They do not know how to do here job period. We missed our window to fly out 2 times because of there organization and lack of skill. The airline itself is among the most delayed airline in business. I have flown them due to they have a flight into Stockton from Vegas. Every single time I have flew that flight is has been delayed up to 3 hours. They have already took us off the plane and re-boarded us but the problem still existed so we ended up sitting on the airplane for over an hour in lingo. If. You plan on getting to a destination on time and promptly do not take this airline. Besides all the hidden fees that they charge, even for a carry-on, it is not worth the headache, stress, or time to feel like you're saving a dollar. read more

You get what you pay for. Saying that, nickling and diming the customer is a standard with this airline. My family has had several decent experiences with Allegiant, a couple of unpleasant ones, and one nightmare from Hell that zeroed out any cost savings we might have ever appreciated. We will most likely continue to gamble flying with them between Eugene and Oakland due to having elderly relatives in the Bay Area that we visit frequently, but we are painfully aware that this is risk-taking behavior. read more

I just recently had to experience their customer service. I have flown with them with no problems before, but this time I had to cancel a flight because of a conflict. My flight total was $139, $42 each way just for the flights, nice and cheap. I call today, after trying every day for about 2 weeks now to get through to someone, to cancel the flight and there is a $50 fee for each direction to cancel! More than the flight itself, so I as to just change it to another time, another $50 each way to change it. Needless to say I will never be flying with them again. read more

After flying with them for over 6 years, I still cannot believe how bad they are. Every time I call to cancel or modify I wait over 30 min. Last 2 calls over 54 min. This last time I had to cancel a flight I take 3 times/year due to father being diagnosed with cancer. I didn't pay the trip flex and thought I'd see what they would do with 27 days notice (1st email notice). Didn't hear back so I called (54 min wait) and recommended I wait to hear back from Customer Care (I called Customer Service). So I waited and nothing. Emailed again on 2/24, no response. Called today (68 min wait), 3/2 and was charged the $75/person (x3) cancellation fee and they emailed a voucher back for the remaining difference. They could have easily re-booked (Knoxville - Tampa - always packed). I will no longer fly with them, the voucher is a waste. Sad to see how unfriendly and illogical they continue to operate. FEES! FEES! FEES!!!! My tickets were only $180 for 2 people round trip to Vegas to begin with. They ended up charging me OVER $140 in FEES!!!! It says $20 for a carry on, I was charged $26, companies like this make me sick! Choose a different airline if possible. You are charged for anything they could think of. You buy a ticket and still have to pay for each seat as well each trips. OUCH read more

This is the worst airlines in America. It's not really affordable after all the BS extra charges. Our flight from Oakland to Missoula on flight 1021 was delayed for two hours in Oakland and they were not prepared to let us de-board in Missoula because this ridiculous airline did not have their paperwork in order. The staff was unapologetic and callous. They did not even offer free water. DO NOT FLY WITH ALLEGIANT AIR. It's a rip off and totally classless. The staff even berated a child for standing to try to go use the toilet. read more

It really makes me sad to leave a bad review because I thought this airline was pretty awesome until today. We have lived in Oregon now for nearly 6 years. We travel pretty regularly back to Las Vegas to see family. I'm a business owner here on the Oregon coast, so I talk to a lot of people who utilize allegiant frequently, and I'll be sharing this story with them, as a precautionary tale. My mother and father-in-law made their first trip on allegiant airline through Eugene this weekend. Their flight from Las Vegas to Eugene was delayed on Friday, and then canceled that night. They live about and hour and 30 minutes outside of town, and in order to catch the early morning flight they had to rent a motel room. They woke up, and their morning flight was delayed as well. The delays pretty much ate the first day of their travel. They left the coast this morning to travel home, and arrived at the Eugene airport at the suggested arrival time of 45 minutes prior to the flight. When they got to the desk they were told that the flight had already boarded, and that they were too late although the flight wasn't scheduled to leave for another 45 minutes. The Eugene airport has a walkout tarmac. The flight had not left yet and was still parked outside. Mind you, this is not a large airport like Portland or Las Vegas. It's not like the planes were queued up waiting forever to take off. Also, it's not las if there was another flight leaving that they could catch later that day. The next flight out isn't for days! My in-laws had no choice but to rent a car and drive over 1000 miles today to get home. Their flight should've left at 2 o'clock. Putting them home by about four. It's now almost 10:00 PM and they still won't get there until about 5 o'clock tomorrow morning! Between the additional hotel room cost, the extra car rental cost, and the huge amount of time wasted, they're cheap flight became incredibly more expensive than they would've paid if they would've just flown into Portland. So not only was it not worth the savings, it was not at all worth the headache. Our family, and everyone I can convince will be flying through Portland from here on out, because of the unreliability, poor standards and poor customer service that I saw exhibited today. HORRIBLE experience with Allegiant. I wish there was a 0 stars option. I was supposed to fly from Eugene, OR to Phoenix-Mesa, AZ on July 30th at 7:15 pm. At around 5:30, I received a text that the flight was delayed until 8:15. I got to the airport at 7:00, only to find out it had been further been delayed until 8:30. No big deal, just a small delay. Then it was delayed until 9:25. At this point, I was starting to worry because I had a friend who had already driven 3 hours from Flagstaff to the Phoenix-Mesa airport to pick me up and drive me back home to Flagstaff (I had just gotten knee surgery and couldn't drive myself, so I had no car or other form of transportation at the Mesa airport). 9:25 comes and goes - no plane and no announcements or updates. Finally, around 9:40, they make an announcement that the plane was on its way and should arrive in 20 minutes to pick us up. The plane arrived at 10:00, and everyone cheered. 15 minutes later they canceled the flight, gave no explanation, and told us it would fly out "at some point the next day." By now it was 10:15 pm, and most people had been waiting in the airport for 4-5 hours. I called my friend, who had been waiting for me in Mesa for several hours by now, and told her to make the 3+ hour trek back to Flagstaff without me. They told us to go downstairs to the customer service desk to pick up hotel vouchers for the night. There were about 150 people in line waiting for hotel vouchers, and NO ONE at the customer service desk. 20 minutes later, a representative comes out to tell us that ALL OF THEIR PRINTERS WERE BROKEN and that we would have to wait for them to get them working before we could go to bed. We waited 2.5 hours for them to fix the printers. This brings us to 12:15 am.. 2 shuttles arrive to transport 100+ people to a hotel 15 minutes away. Naturally, this process took several hours and Allegiant refused to provide any additional travel compensation so folks could afford a taxi. Passengers were sleeping on the sidewalk using their backpacks as pillows while we waited for the shuttles. The last wave of people (myself included) arrived at the hotel at around 3:00 am. Meanwhile, our flight was rescheduled for first thing the next morning. So, after a 3 hour "nap," we all take the 6:30 am shuttle back to the airport. At 9:00, after our flight was supposed to have left, they made an announcement that the navigation system was down and they didn't know when/if the flight would take off. We waited for three more hours with no updates. I spoke to the folks behind the desk and called the customer care line to ask for help finding an alternate flight into Flagstaff and/or compensation for a taxi from the Mesa airport to the nearest place (45 minutes away) where I would be able catch a shuttle to Flagstaff. My ride had come and gone the night before, so flying into the tiny Mesa airport was going to leave me stranded 3 hours from home with no public transportation options and a post-op knee. They downright refused to help me or provide any form of travel compensation, were incredibly rude, and never apologized. After 8 more hours of delays, we finally took off at 4:30 pm. 22 hours after we originally arrived at the airport, with only a 3 hour nap in the middle of the night to sustain us. Fortunately, and NO thanks to Allegiant, I was able to hitch a ride back to Flagstaff with a kind stranger. Otherwise, I would have been stranded in the Mesa airport until who knows when, with no options for compensation or alternate transportation. read more

Stuck in Pasco while they reboot the plane. Navigation screen went black, so they are turning the plane off and on... OFF AND ON! Thanks Geek Squad! I feel much safer knowing that the mechanics and technicians have a check list my grade schooler could follow. Allegiant comped us an $8.00 food voucher and $100.00 toward another flight with them within the next year... It's like, "Here! A gift for you..." AND THEN... Allegiant Airlines and The Final F€{K You! Allegiant Airlines canceled our return flight in the middle of the night with no rebooking options other than their standard offer of a $100.00 voucher for a future flight on Allegiant Airlines. Literally a joke of an airline. Never flew with them before and NEVER will again. Not quite sure how they are still in business. Trying to fly out of Eugene into Oakland and since they only have 1 flight a day, there are no options for us to wait until out cancelled flight hopefully leaves the next day. Originally was supposed to leave at 4:45 and find out it is delayed until 6:45. Then 30 minutes find out it is delayed until 10:40 and after that another delay until 11:40 until finally cancelled. Absolutely ridiculous with no reasoning. Weren't able to find out what was happening because their phone customer service is non-existent and so is any other form. Any savings is not worth it as your trip will soon cost the same with paying for baggage, arranging an overnight hotel for cancelled flights, and trips to and from the airport. Absolutely insane. Basically feel like I'm never going to get home and might as well book a whole other flight altogether HOPE THIS PLACE GOES OUT OF BUSINESS FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF EVERYONE'S SANITY! DO NOT FLY. So tell me why during our flight the pilot came out of the cockpit and one of the flight attendants went into the cockpit! They then blocked the front bathroom so no one could use it until pilot went back to the cockpit. Same flight when we were boarding a lady checking us onto the flight had her little daughter tell the passengers over the microphone what boarding group was next and no one could understand her! Allegiant claims you can get a credit if you cancel within 24 hr flight time but then they make it impossible to cancel by having poor website/servers that don't allow cancellations and not posting an easily accessible phone number to call for cancellations. I have been warned about delays and maintenance issues but used this airline anyway as it offered a quick one way flight from Vegas to Medford Oregon and then Eugene back to Vegas. Well here as i sit for almost 4 hours with little to no updates if and when my flight will leave. Not happy. The only communication is one attendant telling us to sit tight and wait. Would of rather they cancelled the flight one hour after they probably knew one of their inept maintenance personnel couldn't figure out an intercom system. Sucks. Will never use again. read more

if you have a whole day to wait around for a 2-hour flight, then go for it. apparently fog is the devil. they will not land if it's foggy. they may even land at another airport and not tell you, so tell your mom/dad/sister/brother/cousin/friend or whoever is picking you up that he/she/they might have to pick you up at the airport an hour and a half away. Wish I could do negative amount of stars! Will NEVER use this air lines again! My father was 1 1/2 hours early and would not let him on the plane because said he had to be two hours early! There is no where that said you have to be over two hours early! There was over seven people waiting for someone to even come out to the booth! They waited for an hour for some one and once they found some one to help they said it was to late. Most ridicules company. No stars would be better review! My grandson flew fro LAX to Eugene. When I took him for return flight I was told he had to pay $50 for his carry on bag and I was told I should have read terms and conditions by a very nasty Allegiant employee. Was also told to come earlier because they close 40 minutes before flight. I do not recommend Allegiant for any travel. They show cheap rates but charge exponentially for seat, luggage and onboard food. I am surprised they don't require money for use of toilet. With extra cost you'd be better flying a good airline! read more

To make a very long story short, Allegiant left me and several other passengers stranded in Las Vegas without our bags and with no recourse except to spew our white hot rage onto the Internet. I'd love to think that I could talk at least one person into avoiding that mysteriously "cheap" ticket they are selling. Here's the long version of the story if you're interested. I arrived at the airport 1.5 hours before my domestic flight. I'd already checked in online because they charge you extra (seriously!) to check in at the airport. I just needed to drop off my checked bag.... And then saw that the line to do so was wrapping out the door! Waiting in line, there were never any calls for those of us with the soon-to-be-boarding flights to approach the desk. I saw several people try to cut the line to speak with an attendant about this issue and get turned away. After an hour in line I made it to the desk and the woman at the counter told me to hurry to the gate because they wouldn't hold the flight. After a sprint to the gate I arrived to find that they had JUST finished boarding and I was out of luck. There were 4 other passengers that missed the same flight for the same reason. We were not refunded. Not rebooked. Not even apologized to for the stunning inconvenience of being stranded I one city while our BAGS were on the plane to another city. The customer service rep told us that they tell everyone to arrive 2 hours prior to the flight. Let the one person who actually arrives at the airport 2 hours early for a domestic flight judge me me. The rest of you: join me in thinking that is lunacy. The cost of booking a new flight the next day (alaska! I will never forsake you again!) plus the cost of hotel, transportation to and from the airport, and some toiletries for the night set me back quite a bit but I feel like I learned this lesson well. I will spend any amount of money I need to to avoid allegiant in the future. read more

Allegiant Air wins the prize for my worst customer experience ever. Allegiant cancelled my flight on Sunday. I had to buy another ticket flying from a different airport on Monday to get home. It has taken me three days to reach someone in the Call Center to ask for my refund. I was hold for 40 minutes, then finally reached a "travel expert" who said the flight on Sunday was NOT cancelled. I said, I have a screen shot from your website showing the flight was cancelled. I also have a text from Allegiant saying the flight was cancelled. She contradicted me again, said the flight was not cancelled, then SHE HUNG UP IN MY FACE. Let me repeat that: Allegiant Airline's customer service agent HUNG UP ON ME. ON PURPOSE. Allegiant has my money, but they'll never, ever have me as a customer again. read more

Was suppose to fly out of LAX Monday the 22nd and when I got there they told me my plane had already departed... I went to the counter and they seriously sent me the wrong itinerary. My flight had left 24 hours ago, instead of finding me another flight or refunding my $243 ticket they said they were sorry and that there wasn't another open flight to Eugene, Oregon until the next Sunday. Had a flight leaving July 3 to Vegas returning July 6. Ready to leave house to get to Rockford, IL for flight and get a call that flight is cancelled until July 4, no reason given! On hold for 1 hour and finally got thru and finally assured we would get a refund. Happened to others in our family in the past......we should have not booked with them in the first place and NEVER will again. Who wants to spend $300 to get into Vegas at 3pm July 4 and leave at the crack of dawn July 6 and lose a whole day vacation. We were meeting our son and wife so had to book on Southwest and fly out of Midway Chicago-took 68,000 pts. which is rape as well. read more

Four flights in the last two weeks. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. Eugene to Las Vegas and back, and Eugene to Phoenix-Mesa and back. All flights were delayed between two and five hours. Although these are direct flights, it is not worth the aggravation. I would suggest another airline and save yourself the grief. read more

F@cking horrible. They will cost YOU money. I booked a weekend vacation, planning to meet my mother and my brother and his family in L.A.. I purchased tickets and paid baggage fees and we were of course delayed for more than 24 hours, stuck in the Eugene airport with the promise that the airplane would be fixed "soon". I had a nonrefundable hotel accommodation as well as (3) 2-day passes at Disneyland which cost me more than $300. By the time we finally got there on LATE Saturday night, I had 5 hours to spend with my family before they had to return home. I was sooooo disappointed with Allegiant's service and they offered us a voucher that was completely useless, even after I explained to them how much this disaster cost me. I am sure that the only voucher compensation that they offer is one that they know you will never redeem. I am a poor grad student and a single mother and I saved months to make this trip. read more

Allegiance Airlines is a scam airline that steals customers money with a smile on their face. Do not book a flight on this airlines. They are incredibly poorly managed and impossible to deal with. All tickets are non refundable, non transferable, and they charge excessive fees to change the flight. They are inefficient and rude. They used to have a little class and attempted to show integrity by giving you a voucher for the amount of the flight or $100.00 now they choose to rip everyone off by stealing 77% of the cost of my flight even though I am cancelling the flight due to a medical condition 6 weeks in advance of the flight day. This theft should be outlawed and I will work very hard to make sure it becomes exactly that. Stay away from this corrupt Airline that is run more like the Mafia organization than a company that supposedly cares about their customers and customer service. read more

I had to give them 1 star because it won't let you give them no stars. Airline is horrible, flight was delayed two times. They refused to let me board after having a drink with dinner, they said I was intoxicated after two delays. Angie from Peoria airport with allegiant air called over the officer and tried to make me do sobriety tests. He said if I don't do it and failed to comply I wouldn't be allowed on the flight. Either way he wasn't going to let me on the flight because he said I smelled like alcohol which I had just finished the drink due to the fact we were boarding. If one or two drinks with dinner constitutes intoxicated then that is silly. Then I tried to at least get my trip refunded and they management would call me within 48 hours. No call from management just an email stating they were sorry but they are basically keep all my money for the air fare and the hotel I booked through them. I basically paid for a trip and didn't get to go on. Terrible customer service. WILL NEVER EVER FLY OR BOOK THEM AGAIN!! BEWARE!! read more
