Met the nicest TSA agents, very polite and friendly! A small cafe , bar and gift shop are available while you wait for your flight! If you're renting a car, the lot is directly across from the front doors to the airport. Very easy and quick to access. TIP- no need to arrive 2 hours before your flight, very small and efficient airport, in my opinion.

My review is based on my round trip flight experience from Cincinnati to Fort Lauderdale. If you have ever tried flying anywhere from CVG, you'll know how difficult it is to find cheap, affordable direct flights to anywhere that isn't a hub. Flying to FLL costs me not only an arm, but also half a day. Flying direct with Delta costs another leg and a half. I found out Allegiant was starting to offer flights and was super shocked that a direct flight was cheaper than the connection flights with US Air, and even more shocked that it was available on Friday afternoon with an early afternoon Sunday return. Absolutely perfect. Like most things that seem too good to be true, I looked up the airline and was wary because of claims that there were consistent delays, bad service, and no way of getting on other flights since they only operate one a day. But after my trip, I have to say it was super pleasant. Sure, there's no complimentary drink or cookie, no free carry on, and you can't recline the seats, but I'm not a giant, I can bring my own food, and I can pack light. Plus, a carry on still brings the ticket price to below a bearable level. I have only ridden once, but I was definitely pleased by their promptness, on time departures and arrivals, competency of the pilots, politeness of the flight attendants, and acceptable interior space capacity.

The Alaska Airlines folks were pretty awesome, though our flight had been set up through Delta, apparently it'd not gotten all the way to the Alaska Airline's desk, so I had to speak with the desk agent while they worked it out, I'm glad I did, they were very friendly, efficient and got the job done without any problem. Mom, using a cane, was one of the first to board the prop plane (First time in ages, that I got to fly one of those!) and she was treated with great care when we got off too, even though, somewhere along the line our luggage got lost.

Needing 4 tickets, that made a huge difference! We had selected the basic economy flight, but that comes with a carry on only and your seats were selected for you. For a nominal upgrade we were able to each have 2 carry on items as well as select our own seats, so we were able to sit with one another. Our flight times were spot on and we didn't encounter any delays at any point during our trip. In fact, they joked as we landed better then 30 min early to please remember that for the next time they ran late. We had short lay over in Denver going and returning. Both times our gate was relatively close to where we landed giving us enough time to grab a bite to eat between flights. Staff were friendly on the planes and did everything they could to keep passengers comfortable. They were really easy going offering the entire soda instead of pouring just a little of each can into a cup. They were also generous with the snacks. The pilots communicated well and let us know about weather as well as sites we were flying over. In all we were very pleased with this flight experience. Two of the people in our party had never flown before, so this was a great first experience to get them off on the right foot. I've only flown United one other time and that experience was just as good as this time around. I wouldn't hesitate to fly with United in the future.

One thing that is a huge positive with smaller airports is that the chaotic crowds you can experience at a place like LAX are unheard of here. People, staff and customers, are all very friendly and accommodating. Car rental terminals are located near the baggage claim, which is really convenient. Once I was off the plane I started to head to get my bag and thought since I had a few minutes I could take care of my rental first. No line here either, easy to work with and offered upgrades (huge bonus+++). By the time I was done grabbing my rental the familiar horns sounded and the bags started flowing. Once I had all my stuff it was off to find the rental. A little different here, in that, all rental places share the same lot, so they have numbered spaces for each company. Once my rental was found it was a mater of minutes and I was on the road to my final destination. They aren't exceptionally close to Eugene, but 15 - 20 minutes can get you most paces you would want to be in the city.

Added bonus is it's a new 737 which means it flies higher and faster (about half an hour) than flying regional jet out of LAX! Really low fare, only downside being they don't fly this route everyday and when you book your ticket, the fare looks extra cheap until you pick your seat ($), carry on a bag ($), or check that you might need to use the toilet on the plane (jk). Will definitely fly this airline again!

I recently had a flight booked for an important memorial service and they delayed the flight 5 times and then canceled late at night. They said it was due to crew scheduling, but then changed the reason to weather (other airlines flights flew out of both airports). I had to book a last minute flight on another airline, leaving at dawn at more than twice the price, to make it in time. They had to refund the ticket, of course, but have refused to pay the difference between the original ticket price and what I had to pay (over $300). Take away: okay if it is a casual trip but not if it is important to get there.
