Cheap flights are a bonus ! Allegiant offers these. I have flown with them to LA before. This time it was to Las Vegas. My GF booked a flight / hotel combo with us staying at The Wynn. Return flight for BOTH of us and 6 nights at The Wynn, ( which is a luxury 5 star hotel on the Strip ) was 1600$ US. How can you beat that, when the listed rack rate of our room, for one night was $1500! The airline itself isn't luxury. It's pretty basic. You have to pay extra for assigned seats, so we waited til almost the end to go on and chose our seats. The cool thing about this was we had 3 seats together between the 2 of us. They don't have in flight entertainment, so bring something to read or watch. They also don't give you any free drinks or snacks, so be prepared to bring your own, or purchase on board. Juice and pop is $2, wine and beer $5 and spirits are $7 with a mixer. They also offer snack packs, but no actual meals. The seats were fairly comfy, and the flight went quickly (it was only just over 2 hours ) Staff was nice enough. The policy for baggage, both checked, and carry on, has recently changed. From what I hear not for the better. We booked our trip before it was in effect, so I can't specify as to what this is exactly. Do check with them when booking to avoid any issues. I like this airline for the cheap flights. However I must mention that it Does Not fly out of Vancouver. So be prepared to cross the boarder to the USA, and make the short drive to Bellingham WA. However, with prices like this, it's well worth it!

And with little fanfare if any. I have yet to see or hear any ads touting their excellent customer service. (This could be a good thing as it is a well kept secret, which means i almost always get the flight that I want when I want it. Don't let this secret out, or it make Alaska too popular!) I am a relatively new AA flier, having only flown on three flights with them but on two of those, I had to call Customer Service and was floored at the response to my issue. The first time one of the wheels to my new suitcase had literally been ripped off during a flight. I expected to have to go through a bunch of hoops to get it repaired; you know, take a picture of it and send it to them, then take it to a repair shop, get a written estimate, submit it to the airline, wait for them to get back to you, only to hear that wasn't covered or some such. But with Alaska, the first person I spoke to simply asked how much I'd paid for the suitcase and then asked if $150 would cover replacing it. They didn't even want a picture of the damage, just send me a check. I mean how often does that happen? The second instance was just yesterday. I had booked a flight early the day before then learned yesterday evening that I couldn't go. I called Alaska, expecting to (hopefully) be offered a credit towards a future flight at best, as it was a non-refundable ticket, of course. But they said, "oh that's ok... we REFUND within a 24 hr period anyway, and it's only a few hours more so I'll just call it a wash. You'll get your refund within 7 business days." I mean, Hello? What other airline would do that I ask you! I am now a Customer for life! Thank you Alaska!

Don't give this airline your money unless you want to over pay for flights just to use your previous credit. I paid Flair their cancellation fees to cancel round trip flights when life happened and I was unable to travel, I lost 85% of what I had paid doing so, but 15% was redeemable to a future travel credit. I can travel again and tried to apply this 15% future travel credit to my new itinerary, but when booking through the original reservation, it will only let you book a one way trip, not a round trip, even though a round trip was cancelled previously. I tried to call to ask for assistance, was told no worries, start a new reservation and we will transfer the future travel credit to that reservation. So I made a new reservation, called back to apply the future travel credit to the new reservation, as I was instructed to do, and then was told I wasn't allowed to transfer the future travel credit to the new reservation. I was instructed to apply the future travel credit to a one way trip, and just book a one way trip home again. How convenient for them because if you have to book two one way trips to get home again, you have to pay 1.5-2x more for the same flight just because you are only doing a one way trip, instead of a round trip. On top of that, there "policy" prevents these future travel credits from applying on any flight routes that have current promotions on them. This again is ridiculous, because why should you be prevented from being eligible for the current promotional route fares just because you have a credit with them from past changes. Is this not essentially a gift card since this money is yours that you paid previously and what is remaining from the fees you had to incurr from cancellation? If you already pay the penalties to cancel, you should be allowed to use the remaining for whatever purprose you want with that airline. You shouldn't be excluded from current promotions simply because you have a previous credit. I am done flying with Flair Airlines, and will be sure to warn everyone I know of their policies that prevent people from what they are entitled too.

I recently completed my Private Pilot training at BAS, having previously trained at Galvin in Seattle and AFS in Arlington, and the experience with BAS was nothing short of outstanding. Rudy ensures every instructor works to have each student feel confident and supported in their journey. His professionalism and welcoming approach create an environment where students thrive, whether they're aiming to fly recreationally or pursue a career in aviation. With thousands of hours of flight experience and a knack for bringing the network of instructors together at BAS that amplify and complement each other for a complete part 61 package with creative flexibility that drives students confidently for success at a pace that ensures professional mastery over simply learning the skills necessary for a checkride. Together the instructors create a passion for aviation that is infectious, and their FAA-approved curriculum, combined with a well-maintained fleet of Cessna 172s and a Piper with a new AATD simulator, ensures a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. In YVR, you are able to clear US customs, so you do not need to go through the process when you arrive back in the US. This can be a good or bad thing, depending on how much connecting time you have. It was an issue when I had a delayed domestic flight that arrived with less than 20 minutes before the last flight back to Seattle was about to leave. Fortunately, I was able to catch it despite having to go through customs. Recently, I took a flight from Bangkok to Vancouver on Air Canada, which is the only airline flying from Thailand to North America. The flight left in the morning so I had to get to the airport really early. Check-in was fine and not crowded as the airline only operated this flight. The in-flight experience was so-so. The Dreamliner economy seats were uncomfortable and I felt miserable for much of the 13-hour flight as I was recovering from a trip illness. The in-flight entertainment and meal were decent. I had a basil chicken meal, which seemed to be catered by Bangkok Air Catering, which provided me my last tastes of Thailand. My connecting flight back to Seattle was pretty unpleasant as I was very tired and sat all the way in the back of the plane. Fortunately, the flight was only an hour long. Not a big fan of flying on Air Canada. I will say they are fine for the most part when there are no issues. It is just when there is a flight delay which is often or when you are feeling unwell, that the flight experience can be pretty unpleasant.

We tried to explain to to the pilot and stewardess that the fact that my father would die without the oxygen, and a call from Danniele at the customer check in explaining that it was an approved machine we were forced to deplane. My father and I both have medical issues with walking so this became the first problem. Then the plane left with our luggage and medication. Once we returned to the terminal Danielle showed us the list of approved oxygen machines and what a surprise, there was my fathers machine. We then had to take a $30 cab ride, and rent a $120 hotel room. I then had to go to a walk in clinic to obtain a days worth of medication. Then wait 10 hours for our next flight. Then a 3 hour layover in Vancouver. We then went to the only restaurant without a wait to eat. After finishing dinner we asked for a cart pick up but we're told I had to wheel my father back to the Air Canada wing and wait. We waited 20 minutes and once no one showed up I was forced to push him the full distance as we would have been late for checkin. We landed in Calgary at 1:00am after beginning our day at 4:00am. This caused quite a strain on my fathers heart and my knees. All for an obstinate pilot that refused to listen to anyone as if he was on some kind of power trip. This treatment has left us bitter and likely to give poor reviews to everyone we meet. I would like to add that Danielle in Comox was very helpful in getting us a new flight and assuring we would not be removed by another flight.
