My Alaska Airlines flight originating out of Bellingham International Airport (BLI) to Seattle Tacoma International Airport was a much better experience than the flight earlier in the week (from Seattle to Bellingham). The check in process at BLI was prompt and courteous, the boarding process did not take forever (they board the plane via two entrances - front and rear of the plane). And the really big deal - the AC system actually functioned properly. The flight attendants were very nice. The only thing I will ding them on is that the seat pockets on the back of the seats are ridiculously tight. They are made of leather and you have to struggle to slide a bottle of water into the seat pocket. Flight time from BLI to Seattle was 24 minutes (wheels up to wheels down time).

Allegiant Air was the cheapest airline I would know, while Canadian airlines would cost more money and the difference was a big deal. Seats were alright not too comfortable. We included add - on just to be safe. There was nothing in the airplane not even a tablet to watch a movie. Water was not free. No free peanuts either. Staff offered ice when I asked for some. I was able to find tap water in Vegas airport before boarding time. Travel time was 2.5 hrs from Bellingham to Vegas. Trip was quick and inexpensive. Besides there was no delay or any troubles ever. It was not the best flight I've taken, but was a pretty good price overall. We paid $694 per person including flight and a hotel this saved us from headaches. Also Allegiant credit card gives points if you travel often via Allegiant Air.

Flair Airlines is a corrupt airline corporation whose policies directly prevent consumers from…read moreusing their travel vouchers or credits towards new flights. Don't give this airline your money unless you want to over pay for flights just to use your previous credit. I paid Flair their cancellation fees to cancel round trip flights when life happened and I was unable to travel, I lost 85% of what I had paid doing so, but 15% was redeemable to a future travel credit. I can travel again and tried to apply this 15% future travel credit to my new itinerary, but when booking through the original reservation, it will only let you book a one way trip, not a round trip, even though a round trip was cancelled previously. I tried to call to ask for assistance, was told no worries, start a new reservation and we will transfer the future travel credit to that reservation. So I made a new reservation, called back to apply the future travel credit to the new reservation, as I was instructed to do, and then was told I wasn't allowed to transfer the future travel credit to the new reservation. I was instructed to apply the future travel credit to a one way trip, and just book a one way trip home again. How convenient for them because if you have to book two one way trips to get home again, you have to pay 1.5-2x more for the same flight just because you are only doing a one way trip, instead of a round trip. On top of that, there "policy" prevents these future travel credits from applying on any flight routes that have current promotions on them. This again is ridiculous, because why should you be prevented from being eligible for the current promotional route fares just because you have a credit with them from past changes. Is this not essentially a gift card since this money is yours that you paid previously and what is remaining from the fees you had to incurr from cancellation? If you already pay the penalties to cancel, you should be allowed to use the remaining for whatever purprose you want with that airline. You shouldn't be excluded from current promotions simply because you have a previous credit. I am done flying with Flair Airlines, and will be sure to warn everyone I know of their policies that prevent people from what they are entitled too.

I recently completed my Private Pilot training at BAS, having previously trained at Galvin in Seattle and AFS in Arlington, and the experience with BAS was nothing short of outstanding. Much of the success of this is in thanks to their exceptional team, led by their new Chief Pilot, Rudy Moon, whose expertise and leadership elevated the entire program. Rudy ensures every instructor works to have each student feel confident and supported in their journey. His professionalism and welcoming approach create an environment where students thrive, whether they're aiming to fly recreationally or pursue a career in aviation. With thousands of hours of flight experience and a knack for bringing the network of instructors together at BAS that amplify and complement each other for a complete part 61 package with creative flexibility that drives students confidently for success at a pace that ensures professional mastery over simply learning the skills necessary for a checkride. Together the instructors create a passion for aviation that is infectious, and their FAA-approved curriculum, combined with a well-maintained fleet of Cessna 172s and a Piper with a new AATD simulator, ensures a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. The team's commitment to safety, proficiency, and student success is evident in every lesson, making BAS a true community of aviators. The stunning Pacific Northwest backdrop is just an added benefit. You get to operate out of a controlled towered airport with the bigboys air carriers but in a much quieter less congested setting that has quicker access to the islands and surrounding vistas of Mt Baker. For anyone looking to start or explore aviation, BAS is the place to start.

In YVR, you are able to clear US customs, so you do not need to go through the process when you arrive back in the US. This can be a good or bad thing, depending on how much connecting time you have. It was an issue when I had a delayed domestic flight that arrived with less than 20 minutes before the last flight back to Seattle was about to leave. Fortunately, I was able to catch it despite having to go through customs. Recently, I took a flight from Bangkok to Vancouver on Air Canada, which is the only airline flying from Thailand to North America. The flight left in the morning so I had to get to the airport really early. Check-in was fine and not crowded as the airline only operated this flight. The in-flight experience was so-so. The Dreamliner economy seats were uncomfortable and I felt miserable for much of the 13-hour flight as I was recovering from a trip illness. The in-flight entertainment and meal were decent. I had a basil chicken meal, which seemed to be catered by Bangkok Air Catering, which provided me my last tastes of Thailand. My connecting flight back to Seattle was pretty unpleasant as I was very tired and sat all the way in the back of the plane. Fortunately, the flight was only an hour long. Not a big fan of flying on Air Canada. I will say they are fine for the most part when there are no issues. It is just when there is a flight delay which is often or when you are feeling unwell, that the flight experience can be pretty unpleasant.

We had booked first class and we were a codeshare with Delta meaning our booking was through delta. So, WestJet gave our seats away because we were late getting to the gate through no fault of our own. When we got to the gate, we were told sorry but we can't accommodate you in first class. The word accommodate meaning that they couldn't do us what they considered a courtesy or a favor. We paid and we were not given the service we paid for. This has happened to me in reverse on Delta where I was reseated due to the same issue. That is what should happen. However, I was not a WestJet FF and therefore they put my wife and me in economy. The real issue is I had to call and get a refund. It was all in all made to be my hassle. Like I said, courteous but bare minimum to actually provide helpful remediation. I guess customer service means something different to WestJet.

We tried to explain to to the pilot and stewardess that the fact that my father would die without the oxygen, and a call from Danniele at the customer check in explaining that it was an approved machine we were forced to deplane. My father and I both have medical issues with walking so this became the first problem. Then the plane left with our luggage and medication. Once we returned to the terminal Danielle showed us the list of approved oxygen machines and what a surprise, there was my fathers machine. We then had to take a $30 cab ride, and rent a $120 hotel room. I then had to go to a walk in clinic to obtain a days worth of medication. Then wait 10 hours for our next flight. Then a 3 hour layover in Vancouver. We then went to the only restaurant without a wait to eat. After finishing dinner we asked for a cart pick up but we're told I had to wheel my father back to the Air Canada wing and wait. We waited 20 minutes and once no one showed up I was forced to push him the full distance as we would have been late for checkin. We landed in Calgary at 1:00am after beginning our day at 4:00am. This caused quite a strain on my fathers heart and my knees. All for an obstinate pilot that refused to listen to anyone as if he was on some kind of power trip. This treatment has left us bitter and likely to give poor reviews to everyone we meet. I would like to add that Danielle in Comox was very helpful in getting us a new flight and assuring we would not be removed by another flight. I would also like to add that the gentleman who deplaned my father in Calgary was very helpful in wheeling him to baggage claim and helping him find me.
