Planning our trip to Vancouver from Yuma, AZ we found the best rate for cars with Enterprise, so we reserved a car. Arriving at Bellingham airport later that night. thank Goodness we had a reservation; they were out of cars otherwise. At the counter they gave me an upgrade; A Cadillac CTS with all the bells and whistles! I Want to Yelp on the car, but not sure where to. Anywho...! On the way back, we were running late (thank you, busy border crossing!). Cleaned it out, turned it in and after everything was I signed I got that honest bug in me and told them it was only halfway full of gas; we were in such a rush. They didn't charge us for it later, but yeah. I got the free app on my phone with 2 weeks of rental points. They didn't disappoint. Will use them again. read more

I reserved a car for 10pm and my flight was delayed and arrived at 10:25pm. I understand they close at 10pm but I called a couple days before my flight to make sure I would have a car and they told me as long as I provided my flight information (they were given all information needed) they will stay up to 2 hours after closing. To be here sitting outside without a vehicle is not acceptable when I was blatantly lied to. I would never recommend this enterprise to my worst enemy. read more

She was brusque and dismissive and showed no concern that she had stranded me at Bellingham International Airport. They ruined my one opportunity to travel this year. Find another car rental company. I reserved a car here online and received a confirmation number. Took an uber there to pick up a car I reserved, when I got there they said they had no cars available. I showed them my confirmation number and they said sorry you're out of luck. I asked why no one at least called me to let me know that my reservation was no good, and they said they had been busy. So I spent about $50 on uber and had no vehicle for the weekend, and Enterprise didn't really care. They did not attempt to offer any solution or compensation for my trouble. read more

I hate giving negative reviews, and, if you look at my review history, I have not given a negative review on Yelp before. However, I was extremely disappointed with the way this company handled my case, and it's worth it to me to hold companies accountable. I will say that everyone was very kind when talking with me, but the kindness to action conversion was very poor. I flew from LAX to Bellingham with Allegiant Airlines, and bought a package deal through Allegiant that included a rental car for one week (Sept 26 through Oct 3). When I arrived to the rental counter (I was renting from Alamo, but they share a counter and the same personnel as Enterprise), something strange had happened where my reservation had been imported at Sept 6th rather than the 26th, and the computer had registered me as a "no show." The problem was that I had already paid in advance through Allegiant and so they couldn't just have me rent a car from scratch because I would have been double charged. After a few phone calls, they decided to have me sign a contract for $0 simply so that I could waive optional insurance, etc. They took a copy of my credit card and driver's license and told me that someone would call me to go over any additional charges before they charged my card (the booking through Allegiant did not included taxes, so I needed to pay taxes still). No one called me, and I was not overly concerned because I was on vacation and figured they would call me when it came time to charge my card. A few days after I returned from my vacation, I discovered that my credit card had been charged for 346 dollars and some change. I was extremely angry, and I don't tend to get angry at companies too easily. I called the same day I saw the charge hit to ask for a refund. The manager was not there, however, so they took my name and number and said he would call me back soon, probably later that day. He never called. I called back two days later and explained the situation again. This time he said he would try to call his manager right away and get me a call back within 30 minutes, but, at the very least, that I would get a call back that day. No one called. As I work 8:30-5:30, I don't have a lot of time during the day to call, so I let it go. A full week after I made my first call, I called back a third time, quite irritated that the burden of this task was upon me to fulfill. The person I spoke with was very empathetic and also frustrated with his manager for not calling me back. He gave me the direct line to the main Enterprise office in Bellingham and told me I could call there and ask for the manager by name, which I did. The manager was familiar with my case and told me they were still waiting for a voucher from Allegiant. I told him that was fine, but that while they were waiting for the voucher from Allegiant, they should not have charged my card without my authorization. I was perfectly happy to wait patiently for things to be resolved on their end, but I should not be carrying balance on my credit card (and soon having to pay interest on it) in the meantime. I asked him to refund the money to my card and to call me when it was straightened out and I could authorize payment for whatever taxes I owed, and he agreed. I hung up thinking, "Okay, this wasn't ideal, but at least I am getting what I need, and it happened the first time I got the manager on the phone... I think I can give a fairly balanced review on Yelp, offering three stars - they really messed up and weren't very responsive at first, but were very reasonable in the end." A few hours later I got a message on my cell phone from the manager saying (paraphrasing), "Hi Jonathan, I went ahead and refunded $300 to your card, but the rest is the amount of taxes you need to pay, so I didn't refund that." I couldn't believe it. It's not that I care about the money they kept - I knew I would have to pay taxes on the car. It's the fact that I did not authorize this withholding of funds and he made this "executive" decision without consulting me, which was a different decision than what he had agreed to on the phone. Part of the initial promise was that someone would call me to go over the charges with me so that I could approve them before my card was charged. Next time I fly to Bellingham - and I will often because my best friend recently moved there and it is a BEAUTIFUL city - I will go out of my way to avoid renting with Enterprise, or their affiliates Alamo and National. I do not want to do business with a company that says one thing and does another (multiple times) and does not respect my right to know about the payments I am making and give my consent before they are made. They could have handled this situation much much differently, and I am very very disappointed in the choices made in how to handle my situation. read more

Hi everyone, These guys promised us a confirmed reservation before our travel. When our flight landed on the airport, they were already closed. Enterprise still claim that at this location they are open till 11 pm but they were closed by 7 PM. I called the customer service and these guys were very rude. The lady just hit the phone down saying we cannot do anything about it. To our misery all other rentals at the airport were closed as well. We had a hotel booked in Canada, but we needed a car to travel from US to Canada. So what we ended up doing is rent a room in a hotel in WA and wait till the next day. This happened besides our advance planning.. we had to miss an imp meeting. So guys do not trust these guys at all. They have very poor customer service. -Thanks read more

My friend and I recently rented a white Chevy Malibu from the Enterprise location in Bellingham, WA (airport) and drove it for 10 days and returned it to Sacramento. When we received the car in Bellingham, it was raining outside, they (Enterprise) had only 2 people working, and thus they didn't come out with us to "check" the car for any previous damage. After a long flight from the Chicago area, we didn't think twice and initialed the contract stating there was no damage. Again it was raining out, we had to walk out to the lot by ourselves, we had trouble finding the car, and when we did, we loaded our luggage in the trunk and did a quick cursory inspection of the car and went on our way (soaking wet, I might add). Upon returning the car at the Sacramento airport, Heather checked us in (at their outside check-in point) and noticed "damage" above the left wheel well. She immediately called over her co-worker (whose name I did not get) and they looked at the "damaged" area and compared it to the right side of the car. It was seemed like this was a rehearsed skit. I was floored. I looked at the area that was allegedly damaged and Heather had to point the damage out to me (I actually had to run my fingers over it to realize there was a slight dent.). You see, when you car hits something or something hits it, I would say 99/100 times there are some type of marks left by the damage. Not here. There were no scrapes, paint blemishes, etc. So, if in fact we (Enterprise, my friend, and myself) had inspected the car in Bellingham, I am not sure we would have noticed this "damage". My point being, this "damage" could have happened a long time ago. Now, I am only arguing for mine and my friend's sake (since it is ultimately her insurance which will be negatively affected by this), but I find this a bit ridiculous. I have rented through Enterprise many times and have found them to be trust-worthy and honest. NOT ANYMORE!! I truly feel like Heather was looking for something "damaged" and that was her only concern. Furthermore, when I spoke to her "manager" Charlie, there was no resolution. I mean, my friend and I had to go catch a flight in 2 hours, so how much time did we really have to take issue with this? I have pictures of the "damage" (I am willing to post them but I can't find a link to post pics with a review.), and I would think most would agree that unless you're inspecting the vehicle with a fine tooth comb, one would not notice this damage. It should also be mentioned that when I called the Bellingham location (twice) and the one time I left a message with one of their employees, I have yet to receive a return phone call. So, shame on you Enterprise for not doing your job in Bellingham, WA and employing people who seemingly were just looking for issues to cite on the rental agreement in Sacramento. A great 10-day vacation definitely ended on a very sour note. You can be rest assured, that even if I have to spend more money, I will be renting with your competitors from now on. Also, if I can give some advice to future customers of Enterprise; make sure you fully inspect your vehicle for any damage, WITH an Enterprise employee, and BEFORE you drive off their lot. read more

I made my reservation with Enterprise in Bellingham WA and based on past rentals in CA I knew we would need a full size car that would hold five adults, luggage for 5, and a collapsible mobility scooter. We arrived after 10pm and the agent provided my wife with the keys, got our bags and went out to the car. Surprise,the car barley fit 2 bags with the mobility scooter, no where close to five bags as expected. Looked over the car and made note of the damage to paint and that the car fob was not attached to the key ring. Went inside to see the agent. The agent was gone, the car could not hold five bags, could not report damage and missing fob before leaving the parking lot. Had to force everything into the car. Not real conformable for the passengers, but we made it work. Called the next day to report damage noted, and too request a bigger car and pay the difference, having a wedding that weekend and needed room for 5 and trunk space. No one answered the phone at Enterprise. After a couple try's and no luck, I did what the phone system said, to leave a message and my phone number as my business was very important to Enterprise and they would get back to me that day. They never did call back. Don't know why, but I have experienced better service and customer support from Enterprise in California, I would expect the same in Bellingham WA. read more

Excellent service. Fast and convenient. A quality experience. The rental car counter is inside the airport near baggage claim. They checked me in in a few minutes and gave me the key and I walked a few minutes to the lot right outside to my vehicle which was ready for me. After I left the airport I noticed some red marks on the vehicle. I told them about it when I returned the car and chad explained it was from a broken window that had been repaired and they couldn't get the tape off. He apologized and gave me a discount on my rental. read more

Good cars, easy paperwork, convenient. My only issue is that they often have only one person manning the rental desk at the airport and when a plane comes in the line gets long and the wait can be 15 minutes or more to get your car. Also, the rental car lot is quite a walk from the rental desk, but that's true for all the car rental companies at Bellingham airport. However, the Enterprise desk is the furthest from the Enterprise car lot. read more

The desk personnel are friendly, polite, and very helpful at the Bellingham Airport. There is never a long wait, and the car was brought up to the 30 min. parking area for me for my arrival which was very convenient. I have no complaints. read more
