I'm just looking for a spot to put my trailer to rent a spot for the winter ,and hopefully affordable,I'm living on SSDI I got hurt in a logging accident a couple of years ago and still dealing with that,I had a 8hour spinal infusion surgery last April,I live in Darrington right now on a friend's property in the back yard,but his kid and girlfriend moved into his rental house and it's time for me to move on,I don't want to leave Darrington but there just isn't anyplaces to rent they are all full up around here.so now I'm just checking things out.i have an 07 28 foot jayco travel trailer it's pretty nice ,I'm even thinking about selling for 5000 if u know of anyone needing a nice trailer it could be for sale.thanks for your time. read more

Everything was great apart from the shuttle service. The RV we rented was in good condition, had everything we needed, during check-in if we thought of anything we wanted they tried to source and were pretty successful, i.e. outside table, something we could use as a rug etc. Check-out was also very smooth, esp. as we had some damage, i.e. we broke the inside table! Charges for repairs very reasonable, quick and efficient, no surprises! So all in all I would have probably given them a 5 star rating if it was not for the shuttle service..... We were flying from SFO to Vancouver, with a 2 and 4 yr old, we called upon landing (11.30am) and they said the shuttle would be there around 12.30-1pm. OK we thought, we will wait. We waited, we called around 1.30pm as still no shuttle only to be told that the driver had only just got back to base and wouldn't be there for another hour! With a 2 and 4 year we had wasted 2hrs waiting at the airport for a shuttle that wasn't on it's way as we had thought. Honestly if they had just told us when we called originally it would not have been a problem but waiting then paying $200 for a taxi with no compensation in my opinion was not acceptable. Moral of the story is: triple check the shuttle is really on it's way and you will have a great experience! read more

The team waited for us after their closing time because we were stuck in traffic on the way over - most appreciated! Offered great service. Explained everything with patience, and didn't rush us, in spite of the late hour. Provided us a clean RV, and in good working condition. We will definitely rent from them again. Mike was EXCEPTIONAL! The customer service was the best that I have experienced. My cousin and his girlfriend are visiting from Germany and rented an RV from El Monte RV Rentals. Mike was patient with the slight language barrier, had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He was thorough in his explanation of the insurance, who to call in an emergency, and in his explanation of the RV. He covered everything! Mike was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Reserved RV online at El Monte RV for a trip (12/23 to 12/28) we were taking to Bellingham, WA. Long story short: 1) 12/23: We arrive to pick up the RV and it had been winterized, so I was told we could not use the water, sink, shower, toilet, etc....what? We rented a fully self-contained RV. I knew the guy that I rented it from could not resolve the issues so I figured I would talked to the manager the next day to get the issue addressed. (Since it was late and everyone had gone home and they stayed open 15 minutes late to rent me the RV - thank you.) 2) 12/24 3:00a: I am traipsing through the rain with my 8 year old daughter to the RV park campground bathrooms. Thinking to myself, really - is this why a rented a fully self contained RV for $1250 for five days (more about the bill later)? 3) 12/24 8:00a: I call the El Monte RV line trying to get to the El Monte RV local location (Ferndale) where I rented it. I got connected to the main line. The lady tried to contact the local location but they are not in until 9a. She said she would call me back and could not understand why they would rent a winterized RV. 4) 12/24 10:00a: No call back, so I call the local El Monte location (Ferndale) and talked to the manager there and described the situation. And to my surprise, he said yes you can NOT use the water system, toilet, sink, etc. I said "What? We rented this as a full self-contained RV" He said sorry, it should have told you that when you rented it online. It didn't, in fact I went online right after I spoke to him and if I was to rent it today it still does not say that. First, why would I rent a RV without this capability (toilet, sink, water, etc)? Second, I looked up the temperature for Bellingham for the period in which we are renting and it gets down to 29 degrees one night and that would NOT created an issue (It would have to get into the teens before there would be any concern): Thu Showers 38°31° Fri Mostly Sunny 37°29° Sat Cloudy 40°34° Sun Showers 42°35° Mon Scattered Showers 41°33° 5) 12/24 10:05a: After further discussion, the manager said "Well if you had to, you could get a bucket of water and use it to flush the toilet. Really! 6) 12/24 11a: My action to help mitigate the situation is to ask the RV park manager if we can move the RV closer to the bathrooms so we don't get drench going back and forth to the bathroom and shower. 7) Now: The real frustrating thing is we are staying at a RV Park one exit from where we rented it. You would think given that freezing is not an issue for the duration of our stay, they would offer to get it into working order...nope! Moreover, I am looking at every RV in this park is hooked up to water and sewer, they don't have an issue with freezing! In fact the RV park owner was amazed that they would claim it would be an issue. 8) Now: Back to the bill, we were told that it would be $250 more to upgrade the RV to a larger model. Our original bill was $699, our new bill is $1250. I didn't have my original confirmation as my wife had it and she was not there. So I guess the extra $250 to $300 was for the benefit of a non-working toilet, water, shower, etc. Just an extra special Christmas Gift! I am just stunned that they think that this would be OK to: 1) Use a bucket? 2) Charge Full-tilt for a RV that does not have core necessities? 3) Not address a fixable problem? 4) Not notify us that the RV would not have water or toilet or shower before renting it. 4) Etc. I am usually a pretty easy going guy, but this is beyond reasonable or logical (temperature) thus I feel compelled to write a review. The real testament to good/great service is when a customer comes with an issue or concern and how you respond. Have to say that El Monte got a failing grade. On top of that, I gave the guy a $47 tip (drained my wallet) for staying late so we could pick up the RV :(. Sorry...I have to go...need to get a bucket of water for the toilet... read more

We had wonderful service returning our RV. We were 20 minutes late trying to find the place and their policy is a $1 minute your late and he didn't charge us the $20 because he noticed we had two young kids and said we had enough to deal with as is. I really appreciated it and he took me and my family to the Bellingham Airport to pick up our rental car, even closed the store to take us. We are already talking about renting from them again in the near future. read more

They were very accommodating and helpful even though my rental term needs were somewhat open ended. The staff was friendly and spent time to answer my questions well. The rental yard in Ferndale looks horrible. I reserved a cab-over motorhome with a slide out but got one without slide. The rental rate was that of the slide-out model so they had to correct that since they didn't have what I had reserved. The awning was inoperable and there was standing water in the cargo storage area. The coach was not very clean and the windows had not been dried when wet so I had to clean the coach myself before using it. They have a VERY low mileage allowance - 50 miles a day! Can't really go anywhere without incurring charges for mileage. The staff was courteous but not helpful. I won't be going back. read more

My husband and I recently rented a class C and from the very beginning we had a very positive experience. Brenda the leasing agent was very friendly and helpful as we were reserving it and when it came time to pick it she went through it thoroughly with us and answered all our questions and urged us to call their service line if we has any problems or questions. We rented a coach for the weekend, it was ready when we arrived and after a short bit of paperwork and instructions from a friendly and knowledgeable technician we were on our way. Wonderful product and staff. We rented a 24' Class C for a week. It was in perfect shape and clean when we picked it up. They explained everything in detail about the RV and let us know what to do to avoid any extra charges. During the rental we had a question and called them and they were very helpful. It is a bit of a drive from Seattle to pick it up, but it was well worth it. read more
