Upon returning we reviewed the condition of the trailer and I was told that I would receive my deposit refund. I called Triangle RV around the 27 and some young girl assured me the refund had been placed and that it takes a week or more for it to show up. Having been in business for 49 years I know how it works, and I sensed she was making an excuse and clearly did not know wether my credit card had been refunded. I called back yesterday and was told that the refund had not taken place because there was damage and the amount had not been determined. Clearly the employee I spoke to previously had lied. The lady I called November 3 rd said she would get back to me, and I have again not received any consideration for my concerns. I have put a dispute in with my credit card company. And will never do business with this company again. Although I am a potential purchaser, I would not do business with Triangle RV again.

Had a problem with my trailer brakes....Triangle diagnosed the problem as a faulty brake…read morecontroller. Replaced the controller and the brakes still didn't work. After another hour of labour found a loose wire. After a several hundred dollars I left with new controller (questionable if really needed) and problem apparently fixed. Two years later another brake problem... took it back to Triangle because of their history with the problem. One and a half hours later ($240) ... they secured a loose wire but the brakes still don't work. To repair will require further diagnostics and who knows what else. Just expect better given their supposed technology and expertise. Will not be going back to Triangle RV!!!

Everything was great apart from the shuttle service…read more The RV we rented was in good condition, had everything we needed, during check-in if we thought of anything we wanted they tried to source and were pretty successful, i.e. outside table, something we could use as a rug etc. Check-out was also very smooth, esp. as we had some damage, i.e. we broke the inside table! Charges for repairs very reasonable, quick and efficient, no surprises! So all in all I would have probably given them a 5 star rating if it was not for the shuttle service..... We were flying from SFO to Vancouver, with a 2 and 4 yr old, we called upon landing (11.30am) and they said the shuttle would be there around 12.30-1pm. OK we thought, we will wait. We waited, we called around 1.30pm as still no shuttle only to be told that the driver had only just got back to base and wouldn't be there for another hour! With a 2 and 4 year we had wasted 2hrs waiting at the airport for a shuttle that wasn't on it's way as we had thought. Honestly if they had just told us when we called originally it would not have been a problem but waiting then paying $200 for a taxi with no compensation in my opinion was not acceptable. Moral of the story is: triple check the shuttle is really on it's way and you will have a great experience!

Apparently the local Uhaul owners can't or won't or likely aren't allowed to make any decisions. This basically negated our two way ferry booking as we couldn't make a new booking due to ferry loads. This also added $90 each way, almost doubling our ferry costs. Good old Nicholas Spears from somewhere up the Uhaul chain washed his hands of us saying we were told a couple days out. Not his problem. He said our kind of booking isn't a priority. On a previous booking the truck we had booked was available but at a location in another town. Would they cover the difference in mileage? Not a prayer. Fooled me twice. Somehow I'm embarrassed when it's Uhaul who should be. Don't you be fooled by the word 'reservation' when Uhaul uses it. Tell 2 friends.

I also had had the occasion to rent a van from them for a trip to the lower mainland and it was clean and ready to go for me when reserved. I would highly recommend the team at the Sidney location for their courtesy, customer service and ability to solve the customer's problems as if they were their own. Then we dropped it off for maintenance and left it with them for as long as they needed it as we were away for a month. We left a list of things that needed some attention. One was the hot water heater- it only got Luke warm. When we returned after a month they hadn't done anything to it and the guy said they cycled it through twice and it worked. The note on the repair slip said we hadn't turned the switch on! We moved back into the unit and still couldn't get hot water. They came out to the RV site and still didn't fix it. We moved to the North Shore and TLC RV repair came over and replaced the temp cutoff switch and it works fine. Many other things also were not addressed and the comments on the repair slip were arrogant and condescending. Very disappointed in this organization. They lose the good people and the ones left don't seem to know what they are doing!

I was able to pick up the RV earlier than expected so I was very happy. When I arrived our name was on the board and they were ready for us. The 2019 vehicle was very clean and sanitized. After the RV check we were on our way. Everything worked great except for the cold water nozzle in the shower. Hot water only from the shower head. FYI the hot water heater is very efficient! The water can be very hot so be careful. No other issues. The fridge and freezer worked well. We were told to only open the doors when necessary as it can take a few hours to return to the ideal temp. We had a great first time experience. When we returning the RV the process was just as easy. I received an email that day of my receipt and refund of my deposit. I will rent again however I may try the larger vehicle that has a generator as where we were camping didn't have any hook ups.
