We had several folks, 10 rooms, here for a Steamboat Meet and everyone had positive reviews of this place. This is an old hotel. The toilets are lower than I am used to, a grab bar would be helpful. The shower head is also low. A handheld would make things easier. Wi-Fi and tv worked well. More than enough hangars. Soap, conditioner and shampoo dispensers. I usually loathe these things, but they were very lightly scented and seemed to be a good product. Good ice machine. Coin Op washer/dryer available. A small notepad and pen would have been appreciated and would be a small expenditure but a good reminder to use and take home. We were half a mile from the marina and the BC Border. We won't hesitate to stay here again.

Not allowed in the showers, as their 90yr old park spy didn't like "The looks" of my wife and son. We filled a small dog pool for the pooches on the hot days and no sooner had we started filling it (Less than 35 gallons) we were told no pools. They said this was posted at the office. Keep in mind this is the office that is always locked and unattended and everything from checkout to check in is done by messages and email. We, and I assume others as well, are followed and spied on. If you stay, keep your head on a swivel and your eyes open as you are watched. The owners and management are rude and snotty. We were scheduled to stay for many months but after less than three weeks we are packing up and leaving. Gate is always open so security is also a risk here. Most other tenants are great. The others have nothing but time to fill and axes to grind. Typical off site owners who run this by keyboard and shitty management. We just finished our latest tour of the states and stayed at a little over 100 koa and private campgrounds this go around and loved all of them!! Except this one. DO NOT STAY HERE! There are tons of vacancies at way nicer parks for same $$$ or cheaper. We give this park a big fat double thumbs down with a raspberry on top.

There are shops, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and more within walking distance. The location can't be beat. Not only is it close to everything, but you can see the water from the windows as you're just across the street from it. And that's just where it begins. They have free, easy, onsite parking in the garage under the building. There are stairs if you want to get your steps in but also an elevator that accesses all floors. The building also houses a realty company which is really the most visible signage on the space. But just know you're in the right place. The room we stayed in was perfect (Johns Island - all rooms named after the nearby islands). It was closest to the water. But the way the building is setup, it's angled so every room has a window towards the water. The rooms themselves are fantastic. Really clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big and had plenty of counter space. The tiles were also heated! They had plenty of space to hold bags and clothing with hanging space and drawers. There was a fireplace which was perfectly cozy when it got chilly at night. There is a couch (which pulls out if you need it), desk, and a window seat to look at that water! In the room, there is a small fridge and a Nespresso machine with pods. They also had tea, creamer, and sweetener in the room. As if that's not enough, there is also a shared space that has a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, another Nespresso machine, table/chairs and more window seating. It's all stocked with snacks! They had chips, popcorn, teas/coffees, granola, oats, yogurt, milk, juices, and personal sized icecream. I can't say enough great things about my experience. I hope to come back soon.

The bungalow is a beautiful one bedroom house, decorated impeccably and overlooking a lovely yard. It's peaceful, quiet and yes, deer will greet you in the morning at the kitchen window. Stella and Mark are fantastic hosts and were so welcoming and kind when we arrived. We cannot thank them enough for all of their great suggestions of island excursions! We stayed in the 1 bedroom deluxe room four nights and 3 nights in the 1 bedroom suite. Both rooms were pretty nice. We did not have any complaints. The staff was super helpful and very accommodating. Some Covid-19 restrictions to be aware are that most of the common areas were not available for use and that was a bit of a bummer. The pool located at the clubhouse, the library, and the laundry room were not available. The resort is located on a majestic 18 Hole Golf Course by the same name( Homestead). We were able to take long walks along the golf cart path most evenings. We saw duck, beaver, geese, and many bunnies. We also heard toads and frogs along the paths near the numerous ponds throughout the property. Overall we had a great time. I don't understand the negative reviews at all.
