I had my knee replaced on July 9, and had AllCare for my physical therapy. My therapist, Joli, is amazing! With her guidance and advice, I have had almost no pain or stiffness, and am almost back to normal after only two weeks. I'm 74, so this is saying a lot. Terrible place. They don't clean after each patient. During the pandemic they need to learn how to properly sanitize. They'd not practice social distancing. There's a guy Isaac there is extreme unprofessional and rude. I've been to many other physical therapy places and never had such an awful experience. If you are in a field of work dealing with people who are obviously in pain you need to care and learn how to treat them better. I don't recommend this place at all. Save yourself. My healthcare concerns and their treatments have always centered around a major New York City medical center. On November 10, 2021 I reached out to my Primary Care Physician (PCP) for help for my ongoing backpain. It was decided that I should do a course of physical therapy. My PCP, affiliated with the aforementioned medical center, entered a prescription electronically into the system. I called the medical center's main number for the Physical Therapy (PT) Department. I was told that I could be scheduled for an evaluation late in December. With this in mind and being in pain I looked for an alternative. I left messages at several local satellites of the medical center and a couple of private practices. I was offered help by one of the medical center's satellites in Brooklyn. A December 6thconsultation. I booked it. Meanwhile I received a return call from a Dr. Ofir Isaac of Allcare Physical Therapy at 1213 Avenue P, Brooklyn, NY 11229. I am a retired healthcare provider myself. In conversation with this Dr. Isaac, I found him a little over the top with a lot of ego. After discussing what ailed me, it was decided that I should come into the office for a consultation and evaluation. I was advised that, "THE PATIENT WAS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING THE PRESCRIPTION AND/OR REFERAL FROM HIS PCP AS THE OFFICE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO CHASE AFTER THESE DOCUMENTS." I am normally skeptical about unaffiliated practices and individuals that offer nontraditional treatments and harsh sounding pronouncements. Later in the afternoon, I was contacted by the Allcare receptionist to schedule an appointment. I explained that I had not had time to contact my PCP for a Rx. Rita, the receptionist, a very pleasant-sounding woman advised me that this had already been done for me by her. At the time of my appointment, my intake was done by a friendly woman named Patricia, who hold s a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I expressed that I wanted to keep my PCP in the loop, as this practice is not on the medical center, that I use, electronic patient care system. Within two (2) sessions I was handed a thick envelope to be handed over to my PCP. It contained information pertinent to my diagnosis and treatment. As an aside, Dr. Isaac volunteered to me that his attitude was a product of his ethnic background and not meant to be offensive, even though oftimes it was perceived that way. Not an apology, but an explanation. The staff itself is experienced and as an aside, multicultural. Unusual was that the physical therapists here exchange anecdotal information with each other and "better ways" of providing patient care as they do in in most University Hospital settings. Dr. Isaac, the owner, is not bashful about sharing his years of knowledge and experience with both the staff and the patients. No one size fits all, each patient had their therapy tailored to their specific needs. Also unusual for any healthcare private practice, physical therapy students come here to shadow the attending physical therapists and assist in minor treatments or equipment maintenance and care. Allcare Physical Therapy has assumed the role of a teaching institution. My health insurance pays for a session which is 53 minutes. My sessions have never ended until the treatment plan for the day was completed. Read 90 minutes sometimes. Each treatment plan is tailored to my specific needs. Sometimes Dr. Ofir Isaac would intervene with extra treatment or exercise which would increase my session time. In a time when healthcare providers are underpaid by the insurance companies and providers will take ethical shortcuts, this is not the case at Allcare. It is patient care first. I have observed at least one past patient return, she was under 20 years old and had a repeat of a previous problem. Would I recommend Allcare Physical Therapy to someone needing traditional physical therapy? YES! For physician prescribed treatments this practice has a high standard of care giving. I cannot comment on the other treatment modalities offered by Allcare, as I have no knowledge or experience with them. I can say that my normative physical therapy treatments are tailored toward ne and my condition and, in many ways, exceed what I had previously experienced at the major New York City medical center. I am not a time slot at Allcare, I am a patient who is given the attention he needs at each visit, even if the time paid for by my insurance company is exceeded. I have also sought guidance on buying Over The Counter equipment for use at home. Backpain seems to be the number one physical condition that is targeted for treatment by companies that sell bogus items accompanied with advertising that they "will help or cure" the pain. read more

I have been coming here for the past seven weeks for a leg injury that resulted in arthritis. I have found the therapists to be caring and well-informed. Although my injury is not fully healed yet, I have improved greatly from the exercises Dr. Pat and her staff have shown me. I was treated at Allcare PT last year and found the treatment and staff unprofessional. I was mistreated: I was injured when I was put on a machine at the setting too high for me. I was on the machine at a lower level when the physical therapist with out warning or consulting with me, suddenly put the setting of the machine to a much high setting, causing me severe pain. I was in bed with severe pain for days. When I complained to the physical therapist and the owner they were very uncaring and nasty. Also, they do not have a ramp and the only way to enter is by going up a flight of stairs. When initially I ask the person at the desk, how can people with knee and leg problems enter this facility having to claim stairs he said with a laugh: "They crawl." AVOID THIS PLACE!!! UPDATED: The owner called me to apologize but he refuse to listen. He told me he listen at the conversation and I have no issues with that I am glad he did, but when you call to his company AT NO MOMENT YOU ARE INFORMED THAT YOUR CALL WILL BE RECORDED and it is illegal to records phone calls in New York if you do not informed to the caller that you are doing that. I had to hang up on the owner because and even I told him that twice that I had another person on the other line he refuse to care and he kept insisting. He lied when he stated that his female employee was not rude, he also forgot to mention that I was talking to the female employee and she insisted several times to BUY A PACKAGE, now he seemed offended that I did not bought a package, but he does not knows my monetary situation I am disabled and at the present time I can not afford many things AND I AM NOT OBLIGATED TO BUY ANYTHING SPECIALLY IF IT IS COVER UNDER MY INSURANCE. The owner in his answer also forgot to mention that I was talking to his female employee who and when she noticed that I was NOT GOING TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM she was rude and hang up on me. Of course he needs to protect his INVESTMENT but he can not call a person(when he called me) have me on speakerphone with a loud crying infant on the background, practically demand me to listen and then telling me that he recorded my conversation when he knows IT IS ILLEGAL TO DO THAT IN NEW YORK WITHOUT PREVIOUSLY NOTIFIED THE PERSON HE IS DOING THAT OR NOT. By doing that he has violated my rights. Lastly he was 4 reviews in Yelp where 2 of them are negatives, one is mine and another one is from another person, who also stated his staff was unprofessional and she was mistreated. NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE TO BE TREATED LIKE GARBAGE, he needs to retrained his employee and not attack a possible client who can not afford his PAY PACKAGE and accept that disabled people can not afford to pay HIGH PREMIUMS. I accept an apology only when it is sincere and the person does not harassed me to accept the apology. NASTY SECRETARY. I contacted them because they have "GREAT REVIEWS". The secretary who seems to be angry because someone call try to sell me PACKAGES, even do I told her I have an insurance and my insurance will cover for this service. I repeat that 3 times and then in an angry manner she told me WE DO NOT COVER YOUR INSURANCE, so when I try to ask her why she did not told me that at first, SHE SAID SOMETHING RUDE AND HANG UP. This doctor is great !!!! He is very quick straight forward, he tells you what's wrong with you and explains it on a skeleton dummy to have you understand. I had a wrist problem and my other doctor didn't specialize in it so she told me to get a specialist for that but when I told my physical therapist doctor he called me that night gave me a doctor I can go see gave me the doctors name, number and made sure they took the insurance I have. He's very quick, you don't wait long at all your called right away he's not like those doctors that make you wait 10 mins when he already met you he's finished taking care of you first. I won my first boxing match because they rehabbed my whole body, and I got to fight in the Ringmasters Tournament, formally known as the New York Daily News Golden Gloves. I trust them 100%. The entire staff at All Care Physical Therapy is so nice and caring, and they know what they are doing! I came in needing a conditioning and strengthening program, as my multiple chronic illnesses have left me weak and deconditioned for many, many years now. Since I have been going there, I have noticed myself getting stronger. I am less tried and my stamina has improved. I would highly recommend this place for those who are looking for quality care. You don't have to go to Manhattan to get great physical therapy. I discovered a gem of a place right in my own neighborhood. I had done physical therapy 4 or 5 times in the past in Manhattan and none of them was as good as the treatment that I got at Allcare. The staff is highly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The owner is very hands on. They really care and want you to get better. They have a nice Gym with modern equipment. The therapist was very patient about explaining and demonstrating the exercises which are appropriate to your age and physical condition. I came in with a very painful shoulder. I could not reach behind me or to the side without pain. I had difficulty getting up out of my seat on the subway. Two months later, I am now 100%. One word of advice though--if you want to get better you have to put in the work both during the sessions and at home. It worked for me and I have already recommended them to a friend. Allcare have been great before and even during the pandemic. I commute almost an hour to receive treatment, as it has been helpful. Although my commute is long, which hinders my frequency of visits, the office still helps me by providing me with home exercises, which definitely works. Of course, the office never fails to show me something new, and furthers my progress, with every visit. During the pandemic, they have provided a safe and clean environment for everyone. Appointments have been closely observed, to make sure that patients are able to maintain social distance during treatment. With that being said, this does not alter the availability for appointment scheduling. Allcare will work with you to make sure that you can come in and get the treatment you need to get better. I've been to Allcare twice. In 2016 and 2017. In 2017 I was seen about 9 times and Betsy is very nice. Not sure if I will spell write his name but therapist Peabro and Enrique are excellent. Other staff members are good as well but I was mainly taken care of by "P" and "E". If I do not give this place a "5 star", it is because some pieces of equipment need some TLC or total replacement. When I first came to Allcare Physical Therapy, I was losing the ability to walk. I was in tremendous pain all the time due to degenerative hip, bone and joint problems. I wanted to delay surgical intervention as long as possible and I am able to do so thanks to the therapy I have been receiving at Allcare. I can now walk better and I can even lift my leg again! I did not realize how debilitated I had become because of my chronic pains. My muscles were extremely tight and my movements were limited. With therapy, I have regained some of the range of motion back. My main therapist, Pebro, has been wonderful as have all the other trainers therapists and assistants who have worked on me. They have focused on my specific problems and the exercises, stretching and workouts they do on me, although painful at times, have changed my life for the better. My doctor was surprised at how well I was doing and he wanted to know the name of the physical therapist I was using and so I told him about Pebro, Dr Isaac and the Allcare Physical Therapy facility. He wrote down the information and he said based on my results, he would recommend this facility to his other patients. I have also referred my friend to Allcare and she is now doing much better because of the care she has been receiving. The staff and leadership at Allcare Physical therapy were all professional, knowledgable and easy to work with. I had a difficult to diagnose pain in my upper arm, ultimately associated with nerve compression in the neck. Ofir and his team took this challenge and ran with it, adapting the treatment as necessary to fit my case as things progressed.
