I happened upon Physio Logic through my daughter who has been an enthusiastic client of your Pilates for years. Like her, I have nothing but positive experiences at Physio Logic. The staff are friendly smart and efficient, who get my sense of humor. There is no time wasted during treatment. I am especially in awe of Drs. Eva and Taylor. First Dr. Eva: she has the ability to adjust her treatment to fit her patient's changing pain level and location in the body. Her mild manner belies her intelligence of the human form. Dr. Taylor, ditto! She has that increasingly rare quality of relating to her patients at a non-robotic human level. Her technique is to go directly to the "problem" spots on my body and produce almost immediate results. Worth mentioning is Nomar who is a delight and very smart. While he is not as hands-on as Drs. Eva and Taylor, he is so encouragingly positive, making me believe, as they all do, that I can truly get better. In conclusion, I will probably continue to take advantage of the services of Physio Logic ass needed. I wish I could give this place 5 stars because the physical therapy I received was very good. I saw various providers and my back issue is much improved. The reason for the low rating is because of their administrative practices. I chose Physiologic because it's convenient and had good ratings despite the fact that they are out of network for my insurance. For some reason which has not been explained, they have been unwilling or unable to process my insurance claims so i can receive partial reimbursement for the services. My insurance company repeatedly notifies me that they are awaiting additional information from the provider, but to date (my first sessions were over 3 months ago) they have yet to receive the information and my claims are in limbo. Good PT but beware of you need your insurance claim processed. Update: Physiologic has asked that I remove this review but I will update it instead. They never submitted requested information to my insurance provider. Instead, they opted to refund me 100% for the services provided ($2040). For the life of me I can't understand why they wouldn't just send the information. They've also informed me that they are changing their policy and will not submit forms or anything for patients with my insurance, blaming the insurance company for being difficult, and repeatedly making note of the fact that my potential reimbursement would "only" be $30-40 per session. Why should they care how low my reimbursement might be if I'm entitled to it? Very odd way to resolve this issue. They also never acknowledged their own failure to provide information about my treatment to the insurer. read more

I have recently started going here for medical massages. A great excuse for self-care. But seriously I had to relieve tension in my mid-spine neck and wrists. Steven was very professional and help me with great tips for management before I came back again. The experience of inquiring about services was great as well. Top notch professionals, services, facilities and location. Getting physical therapy here has been life changing. However scheduling was excruciating and getting a summary of charges oddly laborious. It's always a shame when an otherwise exceptional service and staff are obstructed by serious administrative issues. If you're looking for a one-time visit, I'd absolutely recommend Physio Logic. But if you need recurring visits, I'd still highly recommend but add some disclaimers. Setting up an initial appointment involved a painful game of phone tag since I needed to speak to a specific appointment specialist. It was a striking difference when compared to other physical therapy providers ready to book an appointment over the phone immediately. This phone call, which I received several hours after calling the front desk, lasted about 15 minutes where we had to play that "how about Monday at 12 with this doctor?" "Okay...how about next Thursday at 4 with this different doctor?"...exacerbated with the complication that seeing different doctors each week wasn't ideal. And so every few weeks involved this painful game at the front desk for as long as I could stand hearing the receptionist verbally list out days and times for this doctor, and then this other doctor, for this week and then that other week. And even then I'd make mistakes and either write down the wrong time for the third appointment or need to sift through confirmation emails to get the dates and times right after the fact. And though I was prescribed two appointments every week, I could really only manage to have one due to scheduling conflicts. I also wrote at least one appointment time down incorrectly, arriving one day half an hour too early. I should note that they've added more doctors in the past few months so the availability issues have improved. But then getting a summary of charges of credits and debits took the receptionist several minutes to figure out, and even then she gave me a list of what was billed to insurance for the last two months and not what I actually paid. She finally found the information but couldn't seem to print it out and so verbally told me what the net charges were. So in a 21st century world where I'm unfortunately used to the ease of ZocDoc, Calendly and an overcrowded platform full of digital scheduling solutions, having to deal with this type of issue at a seemingly modern facility is pretty bewildering and frustrating. To it's credit, Physio Logic does send email and text confirmations but it really didn't help me much here. But even my biweekly prenatal visits were booked seamlessly through an app without sifting through several confirmation emails and you'd think at a glance this place would be less antiquated than a hospital. But I do hope they figure this out soon because it'd be so easy to figure this out, save everyone on both sides a ton of time and ultimately optimize appointment volume. And the doctors are incredible so I hope they digitize asap! read more

I came here wIth we every knee pain and swelling before Christmas. Dr. Rudy seat me up with Dr. Tiffany, a chiropractor for regular sessions which did wonders. I gained mobility and strength in my knee by mid January. Dr. TTiffany is young but she certainly knows what she is doing. Her program works for me tremendously. She is warm, energetic, sweet and def experienced. I was also struggling with a bakerss cyst in my knee but after today's therapy with Dr. Tiffany, something clicked in my knee and now I'm fine! Staff and administration are completely incompetent. They cannot book appointments correctly at all. They'll claim you have an appointment only to find out that you don't. They let everybody know if you miss your appointment or are late that they will charge your for the session. This is a total double standard beyond was waiting for over 45 min to be seen and nobody could tell me why. They overboook the appointments which leads to long waiting times to which they lie saying that I was supposed to do decompression first, which nobody told me at any point. They'll say anything to try and make sense for their lack of communication and organization. Prepare yourself for major communication issues and lies upon lies. read more

Beyond Expectations!!! I was recommended to Physio Logic by a family member for my shoulder and I'm so grateful I found this place. I never expected to find such a beautiful PT facility. The staff were all super friendly and I luckily was seen by Dr. Rudy, who is super knowledgeable and a true professional! I was quite impressed by his thorough evaluation and his ability to explain exactly what was happening with my shoulder. You can tell Dr. Rudy is passionate about his practice and truly cares about everyone that walks into the facility. What a health journey I have been on. By the time I went to Physiologic in October of 2019 for migraines and neck pain, I had already exhausted all of my options with traditional medicine, most of which made me feel much worse. I was really impressed how the PT, Chiropractor, Pain Specialist, Nutrition, and Acupuncture team communicated to one another. Been a client now for over 3 months. This was the only place that would see a pregnant women during a snow storm in severe pain. I called over 10 places, all turn me down. At first they couldn't accommodate me and they notice how distressed I was over the phone. After hanging up, they call back and said "We found a therapists who would see you under your insurance." They went above and beyond. It's not about the money but the care with this place. They may be a little pricey but it's worth it. The care I received had me walking again, since I had inflammation in my hip and my obgyn didn't wouldn't treat me or give me proper care. They told me what was wrong and help correct the problem that my main doctor failed to noticed. If it wasn't for them I would had to take leave of absence months before my due date. I've been going to Physio Logic for massages for quite a while now, but for some reason never left a review. I was lucky enough to be paired with Steve on my first session. He is the best massage therapist I've had in years. Steve is very knowledgeable about body mechanics and really passionate about his work. He explains everything that he is assessing, as well as pays close attention to what you describe in order to figure out the best way to help. Not to mention he is a super easygoing and nice person, so it is always fun to come see him. I lift weights regularly, therefore I am always tight and sore but Steve always make sure to make my muscles fresh for more rounds of training! This review is based on the pilates studio and not the physical therapy portion of the space. I have been taking pilates classes and private sessions since January 2018 at Physio Logic in Brooklyn. The studio is clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the instructors are amazing! From Abby and Lauren, to Barbara and Leola, you can't go wrong working with any of the instructors. As someone who has been recovering from a few herniated disks in the lower back since 2016, I was nervous to start exercising as frequently as I had since before my injury. I tried pilates as the next step from physical therapy before moving on to more physically demanding exercises. Physio Logic alleviated my worry since their pilates team works closely with their physical therapy team. I highly recommend spending the extra money on a private instructor if you feel the same way. I've been meaning to write this review for a few months. I'm grateful to have stumbled across Physio Logic here on Yelp when I had to randomly pick someplace to do a round of PT. My decision to come here was based purely on their taking my insurance (Tricare) but I was thrilled when I walked in the door fir my first appointment. First, it's a beautiful facility located a couple minutes walk from the C line at Jay St Metrotech. Super convenient. Really nice vibe from the moment you get buzzed in: music, lighting, etc. Second, great equipment this is definitely a step above any place I've ever been for PT before. It's also a Pilates studio and they often put the PT patients on the reformer. That was a huge bonus. Third, the staff I've worked with have, for the most part, all been lovely. The physical therapists are doctors, not trainees. I've mostly worked with Dr. Rachel, who I'm quite fond of, but I've also had the opportunity to interact for a few appointments with each of the two Dr. Sarahs. They also have massage services, I've only had the opportunity to have the 10-15 minute targeted mini massages after a PT session - but because of the days I've been here I think I've had all 4 masseuses at least once. They all are quite good at their trade, but the Japanese gentleman, Atsuhiko, is extraordinary. Physio Logic has a medical doctor who practices here, and chiropractors too, but I've had no interaction with them, so can't speak to that. I am very happy with my time here, totally worth it, saying a lot since I have a toddler at home and have to pay for a sitter in order to make appointments. Highly recommended. Note: they are on the second floor, the entrance is across from the food court place, between BK and Shake Shack. The stairs are daunting, but good for you (LOL). You know how Physical Therapy offices are usually in basements and the color theme is always beige, dust and sadness? Not here. The place is uplifted - windows and natural light everywhere. Super cool decor that is clean, too. It just helps the healing process if the place you're in several hours a week is not a downer. This is integrated medicine - doctors, Pilates trained Physical Therapists who work one on one with you (you get terrific attention here), chiropractors, massage therapists, nutritionists, etc. And they all talk to each other about your treatment. I've never experienced this. They have all kinds of injections to help with pain so after your first visit, you can be pain free and then you're able to put in the work to get better - muscle strengthening and stretching, massage etc. I've been coming here twice a week for over six weeks for lower back pain and knee issues. The pain in my back is mostly gone. My knee, not so much but I'm confidant that we'll get there. read more

TLDR: I highly recommend Physio Logic. I am so happy I found this clinic and know that as much as I have been helped already, I will continue to be helped significantly in the future. If you're considering going there, then do it! I began going to Physio Logic when an old lower back injury flared up and I was in severe pain daily and unable to walk even a few blocks without stopping. The support that I have gotten from both the Chiropractic team and the PT team has been incredible and my lower back pain has completely dissipated. I mainly work with Dr. Mike in Chiro, who is very nice and extremely helpful. I really appreciate the care taken to make sure I understood my injury and the treatment plan they created. In PT, I have worked with a few different people, oftentimes Dr. Rachel and Dr. Klaus, and appreciate not only their various methods and advice, but they are all brilliant people as well. I have also worked with both Dr. Sarah K and Dr. Sarah W., and they are both wonderful. Dr. Allison, who I have had for Chiro but mainly see for Acupuncture is very sweet and knowledgeable. I never thought I would be a regular in Acupuncture, and that I would enjoy it so much. I know that is due to her skill as well as her manner that puts me at ease. I also work in the FRESH program with Dr. Graham and Michelle Miller. Dr. Graham is great and has taught me a lot; I appreciate his care in explaining things to patients and his cheerful disposition. He even educated me about a health condition in ways the "expert" I was seeing never had. Michelle has been wonderful to work with, I had a nutritionist in the past that I really did not like, so I was a little nervous. She is so helpful and kind. I love how they both have me shaking things up. I am confident now that I am making life changes that will last. Truly everyone at the office is so friendly and nice and I could go on. I'd be very careful about using the doctors here. I had a normal medical appointment in 2019 and received a surprise medical bill for several hundred dollars, years after I had last been to their office. True story - I began to experience mysterious ankle pain one month before the Chicago Marathon. I went to two other doctors who weren't able to tell me what was wrong or what I could do to heal myself before the race. Physiologic diagnosed me in 5 minutes and set me up with a comprehensive care plan - I ran the race with no pain just a few weeks later. I've been coming here for a few weeks because it's close to home. I've been pleasantly surprised. The providers here are objective and want you to get better, rather than sales-oriented to maximize # of services. I've worked with two different PTs and two different massage therapists. Dr. Erin and Dr. Sarah are both great PTs and the front desk staff are very service-oriented. It was a bit of a pain getting started because they're out of network so I wish they were in network (thus 4 instead of 5 stars), but they do accept insurance. The combo of Pilates and PT is really helpful and feels like a solid workout, and finishing off with the manual therapy is amazing - get a mini targeted massage afterwards to finish the session off. They're flexible with scheduling and the studio is very clean and modern. They also have a physiatrist on staff who is in network for United HealthCare, and chiro if you need it. My doc recommended no chiro so I haven't tried them out but I'm sure they're great here too. A+ for offering a good service and clinical experience all under one roof. Best part: they suggest additional treatments that may not be covered by insurance but don't push them on you. For example, spinal decompression was discussed but then the PT said I don't seem to need it. Good to know I'm getting objective advice. read more

Cleverly overpriced Good business w quality employees, however the fee structure is cleverly overpriced. Because Physio Logic sells itself as a wholistic treatment center, they "ask" that you do a 300$ evaluation before beginning treatment. I have had experience w chiropractors before, so I asked to skip the evaluation and go straight into a more traditional alignment/treatment session. The young lady I spoke with, Nicki Parra, was very helpful. She even told me I could skip the evaluation and go straight into treatment. When I arrived at Physio Logic, the ladies at the front desk looked at me very confused when I said I was told I could skip the evaluation... they very politely said the 300$ session is required as an evaluation to get started. Having taken off work already to go to the appointment, I proceeded anyways. For 300$ the doctor (who was very lovely) asked the most basic and rudimentary chiropractic questions there are. After 10 min it was pretty clear I just need an adjustment, which she did. The doctor then insisted there was another evaluation step (which was also lengthier than a typical session and more $$) prior to getting into a regular treatment. I politely told the doctor I felt a bit duped, and that I didn't think I got my 300$ worth. For a 300$ intro session you can get 3 adjustment at any of Brooklyn's top chiropractors. Physio Logic has already changed my relationship to what's possible in physical therapy...Dr. Sarah Whiteside is top notch, a trained Iyengar yogi with a deep sense of the body, which she combines with pilates expertise and deft manual therapy. I came into P/T in a great deal of pain, and I'm feeling better by the day. Finishing treatment yesterday with a massage from Atsuhiko was phenomenal: he combines shiatsu and western techniques with reflexology in a way that I've never experienced. P/T is hard work: I often end my sessions exhausted, but each week there has been significant progress, and I really enjoy it. Dr.'s Klaus and Tavel have also assisted and they're both amazing--super fit, athletic, and focused. Allison the acupuncturist is popular with clients for a reason: she listens well and works hard to decrease your pain. The office overall runs smoothly and is a joy. read more

Being treated for a herniated disk here in recent weeks. If you need someone to fix you, Ken Brassington - Chiropractor Extraordinaire, is the man for the job. He is nice, knowledgeable and knows what the heck he is doing. He also offered good alternative advice about trying dietary means to reduce inflammation in my back. The good thing, as mentioned in other posts, about Physio Logic is they have a team of people to help you out. I was able to see an MD for assessment here, go out of house for the MRI and then return here for treatment. It would be great if they did in-house MRIs. As far as seeing people when you are scheduled, Ken is better than most, but another therapist I saw here had no problem running 25 minutes behind schedule on the regular. Considering that their policy is to charge you if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance for an appt (or some approximation of that) it would be helpful if their staff was held to the same standard. However, this seems fairly consistent with the medical profession on the whole. Everyone is double/triple booked or running late each time you see them. At least when I see who I see here, it is worth it, even if I am running frantic out of there to the next thing I need to do. read more

I took a beginner class through ClassPass and was pleasantly surprised that it was very personalized with other 4 other students. The instructor went over very clearly what the different moves were. While I don't think I actually worked out very hard (the class was very focused on getting the form correctly), I felt my abs getting sore the next day. I just ran a marathon, entirely because of the magicians at Physiologic. During my marathon training, I screwed up my knee, bad, during an 18 mile run. It was only four weeks to race day. I figured I was done. Out. Kaput. Then I went to see Dr. Rudy and his team at Physiologic. Within a week, I was back to training. Within three weeks, I was without pain. And within four weeks of this major injury, I ran a marathon. (I actually wrote the whole story on my blog, tatehausman.com.) The reason the Physiologic crew is so great -- they take REAL TIME to figure out what's actually going on with you. Your body is a complex system, and the team knows that. It's not like most doctors, who just diagnose the symptom, give you a prescription and whisk you out of their office. These folks really get to understand the problem. And then they give you smart therapies to fix it. In today's world of mechanized medicine, these folks are a rare breed. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Having suffered a back injury and visited a handful of places previously, Physiologic stood out easily as the most professional, patient-focused, and organized. It was a pleasure to go there every visit (2/3 times per week). The support/administrative staff was friendly, happy to see me, and accommodating to my needs. The therapists I worked with worked very hard to get me healthy. They were engaged with me for my entire visit, had thoughtfully planned exercises and interventions that helped me, and communicated effectively with one another. Note: Physiologic has physical therapists, massage therapists, and chiropractors on staff. Their default treatment plan is for patients to interact with all three of these types of people. If you are uncomfortable with any of these parts, speak up! I opted not to work with the chiropractors, and they were all fine with it. I can't recommend Physiologic enough. read more

What a wonderful discovery in downtown Brooklyn! After injuring my knee in a climbing accident, I wanted to have my physical therapy in my Brooklyn neighborhood. Previously I had always gone to the sports medicine specialists at the Hospital for Special Surgery. The space is full of light and beautiful. The equipment is core-focused, a pilates aficionado's dream. And the team of administrators, schedulers, masseuses, technicians and physical therapists are wonderful, just top notch. Exceptional service! I was in search of a chiropractor and started a search for a practice. Physio Logic has excellent reviews and was easily accessible by public transportation. Though the practice accepts limited types of insurance, they assisted me finding my chiropractor, Dr. Michael Dristler. I have been impressed by care and attention I've received during my visits. Dr. Michael is a mild mannered individual who focuses on your needs and implements a plan solely for the patients betterment. If he is unavailable, I've access to other equally thoughtful and capable chiropractors, like Dr. Steve. I've meet with other friendly and knowledgeable practitioners at the practice such as their acupuncturist, Dr. Allison. I came to Physio Logic over a month ago and have been working with Dr. Palvia (Pain Management Specialist), Dr. Mike (Chiropractor) & Dr. Klaus (Physical Therapist) and they have gotten me on the right track towards recovery. I have had chronic back pain for over ten years and since working with this integrative team, I've really started to understand what the source of the pain is and the strength training to combat it. The facilities are clean & modern and the staff are incredibly helpful. They work alongside you to help you understand your musculoskeletal system by translating complicated medical terms into your daily language. (I always hate when doctors speak to you as if you've studied medicine for 15 years...) Also, I'm not the best with understand the ever complex health care system, but their Care Management team is very patient and work with you to make sure you get full advantage of your health insurance policy. I previously had 2 course of Physical Therapy at your former location ( Remsen Street) and I think I received better treatment there than at your new location. Even though I only had 2 treatments at the latter( as I will now be getting P.T at home) i definitely thought your front desk services were mediocre, and everything was less well-organized than the Remsen Street office, I thought Dr. Lola was very good, but the treatments I had with heat and electric Stimulation were poor ( there was next-to-no heat involved). Also I was promised a canvas back belt, ( paid for by Medicare)) which was never provided. read more

Really cool space, helpful staff and intelligent practitioners - not much more to ask for! I was referred to Physiologic by a friend after expressing interest in wanting to work with a nutritionist to improve my overall health and well being. The reason I stuck with Physiologic is because this isn't a one-size-fits-all type of place. Each step of the process I am in the midst of is based on lab tests specific to me and my body. I have worked closely with a few of the practitioners who are very helpful when it comes to assisting in mapping out a plan and answering questions.
