Let me say that if you are looking for a physical therapy place then this is the place to go. I have been there on 2 separate occasions for bulging disc problem and both Klaus and Sarah have come to my rescue. Klaus has stretched me out to such a wonderful extent ((since my baseball playing days at St. John's ) that I am feeling so much better. Both specialists show compassion but they Believe in the exercises they give you. You must do them. This is a lifetime commitment for better health If you don't do the exercises and homework it does not matter what Pt place you choose. You get what you put in read more

I feel down a flight of stairs 19 years ago and have had lower back issues ever since. I have been to other physical therapists but for the first time feeling as though I am getting help. After only 5 sessions with Dr. Sarah Whiteside I've gained mobility in my lower back and she is working with me to build my core, which will hopefully alleviate my chronic pain. She is the first provider to treat my tailbone -- the place where I fell -- and the change I feel is remarkable. I also appreciate the therapeutic massage at the end of challenging sessions. I must amend this review. After some initial road bumps, my billing and insurance issues were resolved. The front desk seems a bit uninformed of how billing works. So you cannot relay on them for clear answers. They are very nice and professional, but I would advise a double check with Meagan. My first visit was with a chiropractor who reviewed my case and then passed me off to asst. who taught me my home work. I saw different C.P.'s- all good, Ken Brassinton being my favorite. My first few visits started with a C.P. then a review of my home work, then Ice/ Heat and electro stimulation. My last two visits I only saw the C.P. with little to no reviewing or Ice/Heat. Kinda need that. I am healing thanks to their help, but concerned my treatment is falling through the cracks without follow up review or adjustment to my therapy. read more

I often take Jeanine's reformer level 3 class at lunch time on Tuesdays. Jeanine is an amazing Pilates instructor. Her range of knowledge of exercises on the reformer is vast and she is both friendly and encouraging. The studio is beautiful and the facilities are clean. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good workout! *sidenote: no showers. read more

$200 for physical therapy. Yikes. You get 45 minutes, and often not even that. Sometimes, it's 25 mins and 15 mins if massage. Come on. I know Brooklyn is expensive. But, that's not right. read more

I met with their nutritionist, Michelle, who immediately made me feel comfortable and left me with an even greater understanding of how to care for my mind and body. It's nice to visit a practice which everyone takes their time with you and doesn't rush your appointment. It is rare to find a business in the city that provides you with quality care and customer/client services that leaves you looking forward to going back. Physiologic fixed my foot pain. I have been living with heel and arch pain for years. The team over there pinpointed my problem and treated not just my foot but my knees calves and hips to correct my stance. After 6 weeks, I was pain free. Recent arthroscopic knee surgery brought me to Physio Logic for PT. Every step of the way, from billing to booking appts (the auto-reminder emails are great) to the very experienced PTs & massage therapists helped get me back to long distance running in record time. The coordination and communication between the PTs and the massage therapists feels as though you are their only patient ~ they move you along to the next level thoughtfully. And lastly, the orthopedic surgery practice in NYC (1 of the best) was so impressed with PL's detailed progress reports, they are going to refer their patients. The surgeon loved that the massage therapists worked to break down old scar tissue so that my patella would track properly for the long haul. wow. no other place would have been this diligent. I've received very good treatment from the doctors here. While I don't always see the same one, they've been great in their communication about me. In treating my disc herniation, they took my case seriously from the get go, and helped me go from literally being unable to walk to getting pretty close to pain free as the disc continues to heal- all while factoring in my financial issues. I also find they're pretty good about being on time, which is a welcome change from a lot of doctors' offices. Moreover, the support staff is kind, patient and helpful (and I certainly hope the owners do all they can to keep them there!). When you're in a lot of pain, it really helps when the people up front that you first interact with are friendly and understanding. read more

Physo-Logic whole staff gives you respect and attention that a patient desires. From the time I walk into the door until the time I leave, I feel that they all see me as a person coming to them with needs that they all can be of service. On a morning appointment I had, it was raining and I came in about a half hour earlier. I asked the receptionist could I sit on the side, and check in 15 minutes later. The receptionist said "of course sir, have a seat and feel comfortable." read more

I went here for physical therapy last winter and during that time I was wowed by the treatment. I had never been to a PT that offered an integration of physical therapy, chiropractic and massage treatment. My issue was complex b/c what seemed to be simple tennis elbow required a range of shoulder and back attention. I was not completely healed but I learned exercises to do at home and generally loved having chronic pains addressed with thoughtful comprehensive care. So i have absolutely no complaints about the medical professionals who work here and highly recommend Dr. Mike for chiropractic work and and Drs. Erin and Lola for physical therapy. They all provided clear information to explain their treatments and welcomed questions. I did not find the front desk staff to be as professional but managers are responsive to complaints. If you are using insurance, I would also caution that you pay close attention to your billing schedule to make sure you know when your coverage ends. read more

I have been a loyal patient of Dr. Rudy Gehrman since he opened way back in 2003. He how has this beautiful facility with his wife Linda on Fulton street. I recently returned as a patient due to a horrible back pain. I was treated by Dr. Allison Heffron who sent me for an x-ray and MRI. As soon as she received the results she called me sternly urging me to contact my primary care so to something totally unrelated to my back that concerned her. Long story short, after more testing to show positive results I am now working on my back and shoulder which with therapy and acupuncture by Dr. Allison I'm feeling amazing. I can't ever stop referring these Doctors. Dr. Rudy has taken great care in building this amazing team. And I'm feeling so much better today because of them. I love Physiologic. read more

I love this place! Back in the fall I was experiencing some lower back pain after hibernating in my home for a week after Hurricane Sandy hit. Rudy and his staff took great care of me and after a few sessions the pain completely subsided. I also began to see Natasha, the acupuncturist who is amazing and helped cure my insomnia among other ailments. I continue to see Natasha and cannot imagine my life without acupuncture! i went to Physiologic several months after a very bad ankle sprain. I had gone to another physical therapy office (which shall remain unnamed) prior to Physiologic and was incredibly dissatisfied. I came to Physiologic on recommendation of a few friends. What a difference! Physiologic approached my injury and the associated aches and pains I had in a holistic way and provide me one-on-one care that the other physical therapy office just could not touch. The entire office works as a team. They meet and discuss your care as a team and come up with a holistic treatment plan and then periodically meet to evaluate your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed depending. Each visit consisted of physical therapy, massage and chiropractic care. Each practitioner communicated with the next and each so each person knew exactly what to focus on. Each practitioner took the time to answer my questions about treatment and to make sure I understood why they were doing what they were doing and where the treatment plan was going. Everyone at Physiologic was incredibly professional and well-trained. Each person treated me like family. One year after my injury, and six months after completing my treatment at Physiologic I continue to be pain free, I am more educated about my own bio-mechanics and back to physical activity. Although physical therapy and chiropractic care at this level can be expensive, it is definitely worth it. I would recommend Physiologic to anyone who wants to heal a new or chronic injury. read more

Physiologic is more than just a chiropractic office, but a full-service 'wellness' clinic that really treats the cause and not just the symptoms. Through many strains/pains/injuries due to marathon training, Dr. Rudy and Dr. Steven helped keep me on my feet and explained WHY I was in pain (so I could avoid it in the future)- everything from adjusting my running form to stretching and specific strengthening exercise. Without them I could have never finished my training for last year's marathon (my first). Thanks guys. I've been to chiropractors in the past who give you the quick adjustment and "see me tomorrow" for more of the same, milking you for bills and copays. These guys are the complete opposite- they help get you well as soon as possible, but spend a lot of time with you to get you there. I've referred a number of close friends to the Physiologic team when they hurt themselves (from back strains due to lifting kids or falling off a ladder)- this place never disappoints! read more

If I could design a dream health and wellness experience, it would look exactly like the treatment I've received at Physio Logic. I honestly feel like a different person from when I first walked in two months ago. I've done PT in the past at another outfit in midtown Manhattan. It was kind of scary. The physical therapist was working with at least 3-4 clients at a time, and I was often nervous that I was doing something wrong and that I'd further injure myself. It also had a very clinical, "get them in and out" kind of feel. At Physio Logic, I have the undivided attention of all the practitioners I work with. They take a holistic approach and speak regularly with each other on your progress. I've seen every chiropractor, and they are all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. My lower back pain is gone. I can think of no greater testament to their work. I've only seen one physical therapist, Klaus, and he is amazing. I met my goals faster than I thought possible, and my constant knee pain is completely gone. He's also just a super caring human being who is really engaged in the process. I see Michelle for nutrition and really value her approach. She knows more than many GPs that I've come across and based her recommendations on thorough blood work. Her improvements to my diet go well beyond losing weight - I have so much more energy and my skin is glowing. Basically, I urge you to walk into this place and let them help with whatever ails you. I was referred to Physiologic by my orthopedic surgeon. I am a runner, and had developed an extremely painful case of bursitis in my hip. I just completed my 4th PT session and feel compelled to compliment the entire staff for their amazing service and excellent treatment. Everything about this facility - the look, the energy, the warmth and professionalism of each individual staff member - has exceeded any of my expectations. And the best part...its working!!! My hip pain has decreased significantly in just a few short weeks, and I feel as though the staff genuinely has a vested interest in my longterm recovery. After training for and running my 3rd marathon in April, I was dealing with some recurring hip pain and tightness that I wanted to fix once and for all before starting to train for a fall marathon. I decided to go to Physio Logic for PT because it was close to where I live and I was looking for something a little different than the PT I had done before for the same hip issue (since it crept back up less than a year later). Physio Logic uses a Pilates approach to PT and I liked that it was integrated with sports medicine as well. I spent over 3 months working with a few of the PTs there and really enjoyed my time working with each of them. Everyone was knowledgeable and my program was designed specifically for me. Each session ended with massage therapy on my trouble spots so we could work on not only strengthening but also loosening the areas causing me pain which made a huge difference for me. It was out of network for my insurance so it was a bit expensive to start until I hit my deductible but I also know that I would rather invest a bit more upfront in a program that will work long term than end up back in PT for a third time after another marathon. Everyone at Physio Logic is great - so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. And the space itself is beautiful. I loved my time at Physio Logic so much that now that I've completed my PT sessions, I've already scheduled Pilates classes to keep the momentum going! read more

I highly recommend Physio Logic and Dr Mike Distler and Dr. Sarah Kostyukovsky. I had been in excruciating pain for two+ years with a herniated disc and seen countless PT's when I came to Physio Logic. After 4 appointments over 2 weeks with Mike, I started to feel much better. He put me on a program which involved a handful of very precise exercises, Chiro and decompression. After a month, for the first time in a long time, I could walk more than a couple of blocks and put on my shoes without pain. At this point I started PT with Sarah. Her PT direction has been transformative, and I am 95% pain free after 3 months. I can't recommend these doctors & PL highly enough. read more

I have been going here for a couple of months now for some chronic knee pain (~8 years) and have been making a lot of progress in terms of strength and removal of pain through both Chiropractics and Physical Therapy. I have seen nearly all the staff for both categories and have had good experiences all around. They have been extremely helpful and informative throughout, tending to the changes, improvements, and even setbacks from session to session. In addition to standard chiropractic work, I have been given PT-type exercises to do at home and have found they have helped tremendously. I train regularly with Lauren, whom I highly, highly recommend and have also done sessions with Lynda, Ron and Maureen. Dr. Ken Brassington was a massive help when I herniated a disk in my lower back. He, along with the rest of the office staff, was super friendly, efficient and smart. I went from barely being able to walk to feeling nearly 100% in just under three weeks. The facility is decked out with every technology available and because they are so amply staffed (shout out to Miguel!) my visits were quick, efficient and positive. Sadly, I had to move away just after finding this place -- had I known about it earlier, I would have been a lifelong client. read more

This place is a scam! It is a beautiful facility, but it is the worst physical therapy place I have been too. I saw Dr Palvia. He took an x-ray the first day, but didn't look at it, saying he wanted to get the radiologist's report. Two weeks later I saw him again. He didn't mention the radiologist's report so I asked him about it. He didn't have it, so he took 30 seconds to look at the x ray and gave me a diagnosis. I googled it and learned that therapy I had been getting was making me worse. I was, in fact, much worse in spite of getting a steroid injection. Most amazing, Dr Palvia never talked to the therapists about the diagnosis, so they continued with improper treatment. I asked for my x rays to take to other doctors and got another person's x-rays. I finally got my x rays and two other doctors confirmed that the therapy was making me worse. I had to have surgery months earlier and at a much less convenient time than I would have if I had not gone to Physiologic. Now I am getting bills without dates of treatment. I am sure I paid in full each time I had treatment. A total rip-off establishment. read more

Physio Logic is SO much better than other PT providers, there is almost no comparison. I've gone through normal PT providers after 4 arthroscopic surgeries on my knee over 30 years. They're all the same: they put you on an exercise bike while they handle other patients, they spend a minute or so painfully manipulating your joint, and then they stick an ice pack on you. Then I had two serious injuries to deal with: first a total knee replacement after long term osteoarthritis and later two badly fractured shoulders, after an accident, that required extensive surgery. Both times, I needed a really good PT place. Luckily, I found Physio Logic. They design rehab specifically for you and have a million clever ways to approach each injury, each exercise, and each client. They take time to listen to you, address your concerns, and figure out how best to get you moving again. From the time you walk in the door, you feel safe and well-cared for. The space is beautiful and fun to be in. Every person on their staff is kind and helpful. They work as a team with different approaches to rehab the injury site, as well as the surrounding muscles directly impacting the area. They understand the human body, and how pain, trauma, and injury affect the whole leg or arm versus simply looking at one injured joint. Their therapists are kind, knowledgeable, and well-trained. They tailor PT to your specific injury and your unique body, using effective and innovative techniques, along with easy-to-follow home exercises. Their financial office worked with me to figure out how to make the out of network option with my insurance company feasible on my budget. There's no better step you can take to guarantee a full recovery from a serious injury than by calling Physio Logic. I'm glad I did. read more

My experience with Physio Logic was nothing short of exceptional. My Dad has arthritis which has been causing him intense joint pain and I have been trying to find the right physician/facility to help him manage his pain. From the onboarding process to the actual appointment, the level of customer service I received was outstanding, especially from the Maybelline, the Care Manager. I am so glad such an amazing facility is located and Downtown Brooklyn. If you need any of the services they offer, don't think twice, just schedule an appointment. You won't regret it. read more

I never write bad reviews, but this place is a racket! I am in the medical field and feel its my responsibilty to comment. Patients need to know there are better options out there and practioners should not underestimate who they "treat". Firstly, they over charged my co-pay both visits. I chose not to continue service bc I was barely "treated" both times. I got the "oh next time" routine, but still billed my insurance. Waste of time. If their care was a good as their ambiance, this place would be 5 stars! read more
