Outstanding service and a great chiropractor! There are so many things I could say about Dr. Li…read more He's been one of the highlights of 2020 for sure. After years of chronic pain and endless trips to massage parlors, acupuncturists, chiropractors, you name it, I've tried it all in the name of back pain. I found him by coincidence as I was driving to a friend's house in Dyker Heights. The name on the awning caught my eye; Compassion Chiropractic. A few weeks later, I went online and filled out a form for a free consultation. Upon arrival, Michelle, one of the receptionists/assistants, assisted me with forms and explaining things to me. She is a sweetheart, just like all the other ladies who work there. They are soft-spoken, courteous, and attentive. Dr. Li is not far off from the ladies in demeanor and service. He is kind, soft-spoken, and knowledgeable in his field. During my consultation, he used a MyoVision tool to scan my spine. No chiropractor has ever done that before; after that, he explained the results and did an x-ray. The x-ray showed that I have scoliosis both in my neck and upper back. I have done MRI's before seeing Dr. Li, which have shown where I have herniated discs, but I have never had doctors do x-rays to see my spine. Needles to say, I was shocked to see the state of my spine. In Dr. Li's words, after seeing my x-ray," you're in a lot of pain." Dr. Li then told me what he offered. I am now two months into my treatments called Life-Changing Plan: Express ( 13 weeks = 26 adjustments). I have never felt better. I see Dr. Li twice a week, and it's been a blessing. I am looking forward to seeing how my spine is after my treatment is completed. Besides the adjustments, where he barely touches you but touches you :) (his touch is gentle and not aggressive like all the other chiropractors I've seen before). There is a massage chair that they put you in after the adjustments, the greatest invention on earth. He also treated my ankle, which I'd twisted months before, with laser therapy. Seeing Dr. Li improves my spine and helps the pain in the ass tennis elbow I've had for almost 2yrs now. The only downfall is that it is cash only but let me tell you that it is worth it. They give a discount if you pay it all upfront, which is what I went for. Otherwise, they have payment plan options. Once I am done with treatment, I will post pics of my before and after X-rays. Do yourself a favor and see Dr. Li if you've been living with pain like I was. I recommend reading his Google reviews.

The front desk wasn't very friendly; they seemed overwhelmed and confused, though this was not Raymond's team. His front desk is inside the establishment, so I couldn't speak to them directly and had to have the front desk call his team. There were about 10 people waiting, but they weren't there for him, so I was taken in quicker. The front desk told me it's never usually busy, which was a bit confusing. I also wish they had clarified over the phone that it was split into two businesses so I would know what to expect when I entered. Initially, I felt disappointed and considered leaving, but once I spoke with his front desk, they reassured me that I would be taken care of and everything would be okay. When I met Raymond, he asked me a lot of questions and spent about 20 to 30 minutes with me. I appreciated that he asked for my consent every time he touched me. He worked on my back, applied a heat pad, cracked my lower back, and worked on my legs. After the session, I felt much better. I'm going to try my best to see him on a weekly basis, but his location is quite far for me. He appreciated that I traveled so far to see him based on his reviews. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be coming back, but I don't know if I'll be able to do so weekly due to the travel distance.

I can't tell you how much I miss her. She was not only my chiropractor, she was my friend. We had lovely talks upon my visits for adjustments. She is very caring of her patients' health and has so much love in her heart. Out here in PA, I have seen a few chiropractors before I found a good one. He's good, but I don't have the same relationship with him as I had with Dr. Ellen as he is not as thorough as she was with her adjustments. At that appointment, I had a consult, adjustment and the best 30 minute massage ever. I was searching for something similar since that chiropractor retired. I called asking for a description of the groupon and made my appointment shortly after. Upon arrival, we (I made an appointment for two) each had a consult, electrical stimulation massage and an adjustment. Andrew was very nice and multi-tasked well (juggled 3 patients at a time) but I did not have that same fulfillment like I did from my first chiropractor experience. Surely the adjustments are standard so I am not sure what felt different.

He got points for taking me at my word and not getting condescending when I told him that he couldn't adjust me face down on the table because I have a flat upper back and that method simply doesn't work. But he blew it when I told him, after he rushed through an adjustment, that he missed a spot. "No, we got everything. You just need to..." "Could you just trust me on this? You did not get everything." I got back on the table and *crack crack crack* "Told ya you missed a spot." The second dude was nice and friendly enough but when I asked him what I could be doing to prevent or mitigate the pain, he said "Just keep coming in for those adjustments!" Wow. Someone should give that dude better talking points, because that was the worst possible answer he could have given. I have been seeing chiropractors on and off since I was 17yo. In that time I've had some truly amazing practitioners -- the kind that would demonstrate stretches to do to alleviate my pain or give me print outs detailing exercises to strengthen certain muscle groups, etc. Unfortunately, I've also had 3x as many truly mediocre ones, the kind that cared more about making a buck than they did about my pain. I almost forgot the part about how they were charging me more than my standard copay because my insurance didn't cover e-stim so they were charging me instead of, i don't know, not putting me on e-stim...? But whatever. I won't be going back.
