I called to ask a logistical question and to get a cost estimate hoping to use this service, but I was met with an extremely rude attitude as I kept getting cut off and getting blunt answers like "I mean sure I guess?" when I asked about my building's flex wall requirements. I asked if it was possible to get a cost estimate and was cut off and told "I mean I don't want to do any extra work if you're not going to use my services" - what?? I've contacted other companies and they were all willing to give a cost estimate before using their services and I have never heard of a company outright refusing to answer a customer's questions. I had only wanted to ask a few clarifying questions beforehand, but he was extremely dismissive and I knew I didn't want to interact with him any longer after this barely one minute phone call. If you're providing a service to a customer who will be paying you, what is the need for such an attitude. He has a history of one star reviews for being unprofessional and sometimes straight up abusive - don't waste your time, find a different flex wall company. read more

I've seen people write 'Do not use this company' reviews and ignored them, hiring the company anyway. I warn you -- this should not be the case with All Week Walls. I hesitantly made a yelp account purely to leave this review and warn everyone not to hire Donny. I say "hesitantly" because he clearly likes to pin any bad review on the customer, and never admits to even the possibility that he or the company could have been at fault for their dissatisfaction. I'm prepared to receive some sort of nasty comment in response, just as he has done with every negative yelp review he has received. Sorry Donny, I won't be paid off to remove my review as it looks like you've tried to do with others. I'm an executive assistant and handle a lot of rude/unhelpful/disorganized people often -- None of them have been as nasty and unprofessional as Donny. He called my office a few times when I was unfortunately on the other line. My poor colleagues answered the line and were frantically screamed at with no idea what he was even talking about. When I called him back to troubleshoot the problem and come to a solution, he was only interested in telling me how "I would never make it in business," and I was "dishonest," and how "We're all just trying to make it in New York City." There was a problem with what we ordered and invoice payment, which was the cause for the trouble. We had added on a couple additional items that we ultimately did not have installed. We requested a refund for these additionals, not knowing their stance on refunds. Our reason for not knowing these terms is because he forgot to send the contract before the job was completed, as -- I admit -- the job was ordered and organized very last minute. Therefore, terms were never explained or signed off on. Despite this, I tried to handle the discrepancy professionally. Donny, however, was only interested in yelling, blaming and hanging up the phone when I tried to speak calmly and rationally. If this sounds like a service you'd like to welcome into your home, I wish you luck. Note: I drafted this review years ago and realized I never posted it. I had All Week Walls install a large wall in a studio apartment back in 2015. The wall had two windows and a sliding door. The guys who installed it did a great job and the wall was well made and did it's job for three years. Fast forward to 2018, called Donny to remove the wall, and he gave me an appointment that was one week from when I called. The worker from All Week Walls arrived early for my appointment, he went to work right away and the wall was removed and out of the apartment in about four hours. The person who did the work was polite and cleaned up when he was finished. I had one minor issue and Donny was quick to respond and resolved it at once. No issues at all with this company and I recommend them highly. read more

Nightmare of a contractor. I had scheduled a wall to be built and allowed entry to Donny through my concierge, but he never showed up. He called both me and my roommate to yell and harass us over the phone after we tried to cancel and get our money back ($350 charge to remove). When we stopped replying and tried to find another contractor, he began texting my personal cell phone. In the end, he only agreed to remove the wall as had originally been scheduled (prior to 30 days' notice) if we wrote a positive review on Yelp. Do NOT trust these positive reviews - this guy is a scammer and conveniently forgets to respond to emails and "forgets" appointments. He is also verbally abusive and a bully. This business has been reported. UPDATE: re Donny's post below: I use a false name on my Yelp account because I am a past customer and I know he will HARASS and CALL me if he knows who I am. Very professional and customer-oriented! I moved into a railroad-style apartment in 2011. I found a roommate under the condition that I enclosed half the living room to act as the 2nd bedroom (instead of using the railroad room which lacked privacy.) I contacted many different pressurized wall companies, and Donny got back to me the quickest and was the most thorough in his emails. Based off the Yelp reviews and his response, I quickly set up an appointment. Donny worked with me to make sure everything was ready and in order before construction began. The construction turned out to be more complicated than expected (since my apartment is not a traditional shape.) They needed an extra half-day to finish but did an amazing job. All Week Walls accommodated me greatly, in terms of where to put the room and the door and also in constructing one wall at a slight angle. The staff was friendly and professional throughout the entire experience, from booking the appointment to painting my new walls. I've had the pressurized walls up for more than a year now, and my roommate and I love it! It matches the other walls, provides privacy, and makes our apartment into a real home! I am so happy to finally have a real wall in my room. I called to schedule the wall about 5 days before they installed it. Donny was great at getting back to me about what to expect and how much it would be etc. The men showed up at exactly 9:30 and waited for a while for the truck to show up with the supplies, but once that showed up they finished and painted the wall in about 4 hours. They were great! and they'll take down the wall for free, you just need to give them 4 weeks notice. They're the most straight forward wall building company to work with. I spoke to many of them. When All Week Walls came in last April to install our wall, they did a fantastic job. We had an odd situation with our building and they were completely flexible and helpful in navigating it...even coming back to finish the work when our super said we couldn't use the elevator! Now that we are having the wall taken down, they have been even more helpful. I lost the contract paperwork and couldn't get in touch with them until 2.5 weeks before the wall had to be removed. When I got in touch with Donny, with a week's notice, he shifted things to come in and get my wall removed with just three days notice. I moved into a small studio apartment with my girlfriend about a year ago and we've been dealing with a weird situation where our living room, bedroom, and kitchen all run together into one giant room. Not great for entertaining, which we like to do often. Last week we had All Week Walls install a temporary wall with a sliding door to create a bedroom space. It's amazing. It completely changed our layout so we can entertain guests and even have our relatives stay over instead of getting a hotel room. I did a pretty comprehensive review of wall-installation companies, and this one by far was the cheapest in price and the most available at a short notice. Those are the only two data points you know when you are comparing difference places...you know nothing about quality, how quickly they do it, etc.. They showed up on when they said they would, and also did the work quickly and quietly. I worked from home at the time so I needed to take calls while they were working...and it was not a problem at all. On top of all of that...I needed the wall taken down on shorter notice than is usually provided (i think 30 day notice is necessary, I think I gave less than 20)...and they still came on time perfectly and made it happen on the right day and time. My experience with All Week Walls was a great one. The employees who were dispatched to assemble and deconstruct the pressurized wall were respectful and worked diligently to complete their tasks thoroughly and efficiently. The crews cleaned up any mess that was made both during assembly and deconstruction. The wall itself was of the highest quality when it comes to pressurized walls in NYC. I personally was sleeping in the bedroom that the pressurized wall was put up to make, and my roommate would have friends over with the TV on high volume and I was able to sleep through it, despite being a light sleeper. Often times, guests would be in shock when I explained that the wall was, in fact, "temporary" because of how high quality it was. If you are moving into an apartment in NYC and need a pressurized wall constructed, look no further than here and you will have a stress free experience that will leave you with privacy, comfort and peace of mind. read more

Lius did the wall for us. Took about 5 hours in total and I'm satisfied with the work, he was pleasant to talk to and very respectful. If I have any complaint it is the price. Given my time constraint I found it reasonable for my situation, but if I had time to shop around with other contractors I would find this price high. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My roommate and I called them when we moved into our apt. They were nice enough and gave us a quote to put the wall up and eventually take it down. The wall went up and was not great quality. It was not straight and did not evenly hit the ceiling. We decided to leave it as it was a VERY long process to put up. After 2 years with the wall, the door frame split out and the gap in the ceiling got worse. We then called to have it taken down and that is where the nightmare began. Apparently we had called 1 day past the 30 day timeline to get it taken down that month ( fine that is our fault) but we have never been treated so poorly. They told us we were being charged $350 extra to take it down. I was screamed at on the phone that I needed to learn how to read and told if i wanted to take my business elsewhere fine. So after reluctantly agreeing to pay the price we thought we were all set. The day they were supposed to come was even worse. After 2 hours past their arrival time, we called to see where they were. They claimed we had canceled the appointment. If this was some misunderstanding, fine. But there was NO WAY we canceled the appointment. Instead of trying to work with us or even be semi professional, they again SCREAMED at us and called us liars. They hung up on us and refused to take the wall down. I have never spoken with such unprofessional people in my life. THANK GOD we were able to call Wall2Wall and they helped us out. They have done a number of my friends apartments and are WORLDS better than this INSANELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL company. Save yourself the headache and dont EVER use them. read more

We got a full length wall installed in our apartment. The actual wall worked well for the year but when it came to taking it down the manager Donny was completely rude and unprofessional. We had a scheduled date for the take-down over a month in advance but when confirming a few days before there was a miscommunication (on both parties) and instead of letting me know he would cancel, Donny just decided not to show up and then call me at the end of the day yelling at me and insulting me saying "you know it was your fault" and "do you not understand the emails you wrote?". He then said it would cost an extra $350 to get the wall taken down a different day! He has every incentive to find even the smallest thing wrong with my communication so then he can charge me an obscene amount for the same task. He denied any wrong-doing on his end and said he has "no responsibility" to inform me that he is canceling. Even if hypothetically it was completely "my fault" the fact that he would yell at me and insult me was so ridiculously obnoxious and unprofessional. Would highly discourage agains using this All Week Walls, no matter how cheap they are up front you'll probably have to pay extra in the long run. read more

TLDR- If there's a Kitchen Nightmares for wall companies, these guys should be featured. Stay far away. Getting the wall down was very frustrating. I chatted with Donny in April about taking the wall down and he gave me the option of May 20th or May 27th. We chose the 27th because we wanted the room as long as possible. I called Donny up on May 27th in the morning but no one answered (it was Memorial Day and they didn't work that day). Lots of businesses work on Memorial Day, so when we scheduled it we didn't think anything of it. The next morning I called and had the most repulsive conversation I've ever had with any business. Donny called me an idiot and told me he knew I was one because they would never schedule a removal on a holiday. It was really hard talking to him because he was not understanding at all and wouldn't own up to his mistake. I absolutely needed to get the wall down and asked how much it would cost. He said $450. I tried calling other companies to take the wall down for less because I didn't want to give this guy another penny. Many of them couldn't do it on such short notice so I had to talk Donny down to $200 to take the wall down. Someone came in that week to take the wall down but there were leftover marks and a crack in the permanent wall where the temporary wall met it. Donny then called me asking for me to write him a positive Yelp review. I told him about the damages the wall left and he said it wasn't his problem. There was a crack in my wall from his temporary wall and it wasn't his problem? I yelled at him that this was gonna cost us hundreds. The conversation got very heated and I remember him mentioning he would ruin my reputation because he knows SEO. I got my apartment's super to come by to inspect the damage and he confirmed it would cost us money. Dennis, their field guy, called me up after the heated conversation and apologized for how Donny treated me. Dennis agreed to visit the apartment after we moved out to fix the damages. Wall removal doesn't seem to be part of their business All Week Walls cares about (at least Donny doesn't). They get no cash from removing walls (its supposed to be included in the cost of putting the wall up). You might get unlucky and get charged up to $450 for wall removal. We talked Donny down to $200. These are not the kinds of things you want to be worrying about when you move out of your apartment, so to protect yourself: If you're a current customer: 1. Ask them way before a month in advanced to take the wall down on a Monday that works with you. (they only remove walls on Mondays for some insensible reason so you want to ensure you get yours down). 2. Ask them for an e-mail confirmation for the wall removal for proof. We didn't do this and they lost our reservation. When we called them about removing the wall, Donny yelled at me calling me mistaken and stupid because he scheduled me for a removal on Memorial Day. 3. Call to confirm several times leading up to the wall removal 4. Take pictures before and after the wall goes up and down. Make sure your management checks to make sure they wont charge you for any damages- there will be dark streaks and if one coat of paint doesnt cover it up, it will be considered damage and you'll get charged. We still have no idea if their insurance covers the damages. If you're not a current customer: Stay away. You don't deserve the same nightmare I went through. read more

At a moment's notice, I found out from my building's management company that I was being mandated to remove an unpermitted wall, and was allowed to install a new 'temporary' dividing wall. Donny bent over backwards to help with the nightmarish and unreasonable management company, getting insurance documents on multiple occasions, sending unprecedented correspondence and overall just dealing with the headache. He did so professionally and quickly. His team was also well coordinated, neat and skilled. The old wall came down no prob, and the new one was up and painted in no time. I just called All Week Walls to inquire about the removal of a 10-ft temporary wall in our apartment - the company that we originally used to put up the wall one year ago has since gone out of business. "Donny" was extremely rude when I asked about how much it would cost, and made it sound as if this would be a huge inconvenience for them - they are a WALL company, they take down walls all the time, and I was willing to pay for the service of course.. so not sure why he had to be so rude. I hired all week walls to do a really small 2nd bedroom in our tiny 1 bd apt. They listened to the dimensions very well which was good because my bed only fit within an inch so it would have been unusable if they weren't accurate. There were more molding seams than I would have wanted (since it was so small) but not within their control I guess. I would recommend calling 6 weeks in advance to schedule the removal rather than 4 weeks, and give yourself a few days wiggle room in case the end of the month is booked. We moved out the same weekend as Hurricane Sandy, so the trucks couldn't make it out to remove the wall. I paid our super to do it and Donny offered a discount for our next project. Because the wall held up so well I'll be using them again. read more

He gave us a 3 hour time window and after 5 hours of waiting for them to show up and several phone calls they're still not here. I'm a pretty reasonable person and they were super unprofessional. What kind of business obnoxiously hangs up on the customer? What kind of business threatens to not finish the job? The initial installation process was fine. But obviously, he is more interested in making money from installations versus the contracted removal. NYC's small businesses heavily rely on peer review systems and negative reviews make businesses flounder. DO NOT WASTE your money on this "company." read more

It almost seemed as if I was doing him a favor by asking for the company's business. Making an appointment with AWW was so easy that I thought initially that they were messing with me. I first called on May 3 about a May 31 removal and the guy on the phone was just like OK sure we'll be there. What? No money upfront, no email confirmation? When several other companies I called didn't even have availability... I was like "Are sure we're good?" and he was like "Yeah no problem." My building ended up needing a COI the week before they were supposed to come so I reached back out for that, at which point they asked me to send $ and they in turn sent the COI. The morning of the 31st, they showed up near the end of the hour window they said to expect them, and the guy they sent was great. Totally professional, so fast!, threw everything out when he was done, and even Mopped up the floors after !!! I was really impressed. I was really expecting this process to be a headache and it ends up being the easiest part of my move. Can't thank them enough. read more

I wouldn't use these guys again. On the day of the job, the boss arrived an hour and a half late with the materials, leaving his worker (who'd arrived on time) to hang out with me in my apartment almost 2 hours until he arrived. Because they started late, they were unable to finish the work by my building's 4:00 deadline, and had to leave the job unfinished until the following week. The wall looks great, with a small access door around the AC unit (to allow its front panel to be removed, should the unit need to be serviced). However, the access door was measured incorrectly, which my super realized a couple months later, when he tried to service the AC unit. I called All Week Walls, and they refused to correct the problem, unless I paid for the job. Demanding a customer pay for the company's mistake doesn't seem like fair business practice to me. read more

Terrible job all around! First, contrary to advertisement on their web-page they do NOT take credit cards. They expect cash day of installation in full BEFORE the job is even started. They did not finish the job in one day, since they did not bring enough borders for the window installation, promised to come back at 10 am next day, came back at 2pm instead. Window was put in crooked, and absolutely horrible workmanship. I myself had to finish painting the window borders since they only did one coat of paint and left behind very visible white streaks. I had paid for a medium window, instead got a tiny slider, when I complained he said windows only come in one size (even though when quoting the price he specifically mentioned small/medium/large and charged me for medium). I also paid extra for "sound proofing the walls", and according to the contractor I hired to repair the horrible job they considered the final product, it was not done properly/adequately . That would explain why in fact my walls are still not sound proof at all. I was also told that if I provide my own paint they will use it, however they neglected to mention that they will only paint with one color ( I wanted the inside of the room one color, and outside to match the existing living room color). They also do not bring white paint with them and refused to paint door and moldings (that they put in) in white color. I am greatly disappointed in the job they have done, and regret going with them in the first place. I now had to hire a different contractor to basically redo most of the job they did, and this time do it properly. I consider the money I spent on them a waste and wish I had gone with my contractor in the first place. read more

When the wall was installed the workers didn't have enough trim to cover up the seems... so they just left ... without finishing. The walls themselves were up but there were several sections where the dry wall meets that should have been covered up by trim that were not. I called 2 or 3 times to have them come back to finish the job and each time they said they'd come and then give some excuse saying they were sick and would come next week. Finally I gave up. Also, they charge you $300 to take down the wall if you don't give 4 weeks notice and there is a $350 fee to transfer "ownership" of the wall if you move out of your apartment and want the new tenants to take over liability (which they refused to send me any formal documentation for short of a one sentence email saying that ownership was transferred). They (Donny) are also consistently rude on the phone. read more

This post comes as a mixed bag because this company was great at putting up the wall but the wall removal did not go well. We had the wall put up a year ago. The company was easy to work with at the time, dealt with my management company which was giving us all kinds of problems putting up the wall, allowed us to reschedule, and was really helpful overall. One guy came and put up the wall in a short time, was very nice, cleaned up, no issues. The wall looked great. People who came to our apartment after it was up complemented it and were really impressed. Taking down the wall was another story. I did not know they only take down walls on Mondays and did not call with enough advance notice. Fine, that's my fault, I'll pay the fee. But the company wasn't clear on how much it would cost, who to make the check out to, and then rude to my husband about the insurance information needed for my building. They showed up late, at the very end of the window of time I was told for the job, and did not have all the supplies needed for the job. They asked for a ladder, which luckily my building has one tenants can use, but not all buildings are like that. They didn't cover anything, I had to cover my furniture myself. They attempted to sweep, but I still found nails and screws on the floor. They were finished in an hour, but I was not impressed with the work. We hired All Week Walls to construct a pressurized wall and a door. When I asked for a quote and sent them a floor plan so they could give an accurate quote, they responded "floor plans are of no help." Yes, that should've raised red flags, but I was convinced these reviews were true. So I drew on the floor plan in detail. I also asked them to wallpaper the entryway wall. I provided clearly annotated floor plans detailing not only where the wall and door should go, but also where the wallpaper should go. The wallpaper was for an existing wall that you saw as soon as you entered the apt. Not only that, on the day they started the work, I physically went to the apt while they were there and pointed to the wall that I wanted wallpapered. But there were many problems. First, the work took two days, when they promised one. Second, what they called the "finished product" look and felt like a work in progress. There were gaps everywhere between the ceilings and existing walls with the new pressurized walls/door. They left a huge dark scratch on the ceiling and there were dents in the wall they "finished." Plus the wallpaper was on the wrong wall. They wallpapered both sides of the door they put up, when I distinctly said it was another wall. The wallpaper was very expensive. When I informed them of this, they said "I don't know what to tell you." When I said I'd take more action, he said he'd paint over the wallpaper. But I needed a complete redo, so I hired another company, as I no longer trusted All Week Walls. So they said I am not entitled to a partial refund because I did not let them come "fix" the situation. But they did agree to refund me the $125 for the wallpaper service. I repeatedly asked to be paid back for the amount of wallpaper they wasted, but they kept saying a) they didn't "remember me pointing to the wall to show them," and b) they were giving me the $125 so I could not ask for anything more. And then, when I said I would file a complaint if they did not repay me for the wallpaper they wasted, they replied "then we will stop the check," meaning the $125. Every person who came into the apartment asked who did the wall and said we were pretty much scammed for the quality, or lack thereof. Don't trust all the reviews when they're all positive. Not only that, they advertise taking credit cards, and then they say only cash or cashier's check. read more

We had a rough time with All Week Walls and I would not recommend the company. We were told it would take one or maybe two days, and in the end it took no less than a week to put up a single wall. My wife was at home with our newborn and it was a major inconvenience. The reason? At first the wall was installed totally crooked, and it blocked a closet door from opening, which was something I specifically stated I did not want. I had to complain a lot for them to reinstall it. But the second time it was still very crooked. And I mean obviously crooked to the naked eye. The third time the wall was straight but it has a huge seam running down the middle, even though I paid extra for "no seams". All the laborers were well mannered and friendly, but unskilled. These guys are not the worst, but they are the second to worst. I had a all installed by Wall2Wall 3 years ago and it was a total nightmare. They never came to remove what was a poorly built wall and I lost a $2,500 because of it. So said, lets try AllweekWalls since they gave me a grea price on a wall for my new apartment. Bad move on my part and I now I totally believe " you get what you pay for" The workers left a mess, the door does not close properly even though they came back twice to fix it and there is still paint on my brand new floors that they made a mess of. Then by accident I guess they actually had the nerve to contact me to offer a few bucks to right a lovely review on Yelp about their great service. Well heres my review and they can keep the chump change. "AllweekWalls is an Allnight nightmare. If they ever come to remove my wall then it wont be as bad as Wall2Wall but from my experience so far I wont count on it. read more
