We had originally planned to move earlier and scheduled with Secure Moving. We had to cancel. Julie with Secure Moving was very accommodating. As soon as we knew our new date we were rescheduled and on our way! Our movers, Jacob, Bear, and Blake were efficient and at the same time very careful with our furniture. They carefully wrapped most of the items and followed our instructions regarding where things were to go. We definitely plan on using Secure Moving for our next permanent move!

My date was scheduled to make sure they had a light job in the AM, as I told them I had big heavy items. The 3-4 hour estimate turned into 6 and they were unloading until 8:30pm after not getting there until 2:30 vs 12:00 quoted. They worked really hard but were exhausted after 2 big jobs. The truck was packed poorly causing the damage.

Had the family heirlooms out for them, photographed, and itemized and got a bid... which they later viewed as an estimate--- they moved like snails, ran way over time for such a few items and it was not professionally packed. So when shipped 5 boxes- they arrived in fine condition but everything inside was broken or damaged.. heavy things were packed on top of fragile things. Many items - crystal and such were shattered and the company was not even apologetic and demanded the fees and invoked their .39 cent per pound default insurance as they did not offer more coverage. The cost of what could be repaired was $2500 dollars and we paid them $1900 on top and they gave us about 37.80 for repairs ! Decided to repack everything at additional cost as we had no choice as they would not repack or make good.

They left too many marks on the walls but that is pretty easily fixed. My main problem is they caused a huge scratch and several small dents on my refrigerator and not following through on opening a claim. On 10/19, they said they would be opening a claim and someone from the team would contact me. After two weeks, I contact them and get no answer for several days. After threatening to open a dispute with BBB, they replied to my text with excuses. Another week has gone by and they are not responding to my inquiries. I should have spent a little more money and gone with a reputable firm.

He identified the damage and said "I popped it (the bumper) back in. After texting multiple times over several weeks about how to file a claim and if he reached out to U-Haul he finally tells me they denied the claim. I got three bids and presented to Tim. I also authorized my employer to pay him the balance of the move trusting that as a Christian man he would do the right thing and pay for the repairs. Even after damaging my car, I gave them a few hundred dollars to treat themselves to a steak dinner. This is what I get for being nice!! Tim has given every excuse imaginable to delay paying for the damage to my vehicle. Likely because he doesn't want to pay or can't pay, regardless neither of these circumstances are my problem. He said that he would check with mechanics in KC!! I live in TX which is where the damages occured and where I will have a warranty on the repairs. I cannot help that repairs on my vehicle cost more in TX than they may cost in KC...again not my problem. I am taking legal action against this company and warning everyone about this company. If I were a man I'm sure he would treat this situation differently and frankly I probably would too. Anyways, he is full of crap DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

They were late due to GPS? 2 guys arrived, I provided the moving straps they had a dolly. Everything was going pretty good until they got to the frig (brand new by the way). The one guy did not know how to use the straps no matter how many times he was shown (4 times to be exact). They dropped my frig on the wooden stairs, had it not been for a friend of mine to take over the stairs could have been horribly damaged or frig destroyed. My NEW frig was tweaked it now has a dent in the side of the lower freezer door, Thankfully it still closes and works, I however did not notice the dent until UNFORTUNATELY after I had paid them. I have moved multiple times in my life but this was the most stressful. The 2nd mover of the 2 did do a good job, he was professional and did his best to compensate for the other.

Unfortunately, that is where the compliments end as we are very frustrated with our overall experience. We were moving from a 4 bedroom house to another 4 bedroom house 20 min away so we booked a 2 man crew for six hours with a 26ft truck. On the day of the move, they actually showed up with 3 helpers so we were thinking "great! it will go even faster!" Not the case--it took over 4 hrs just to load the first truck so by the time we got to the new house, we were already at hour 5 of the 6hrs allotted. I was fine paying for a couple hours extra if needed, but by the time the second was unloaded, we were at 12 hours and the job wasn't even complete, my husband and I still had to go back and move more stuff on our own. We were charged an extra $660 on top of the roughly $700 we had already spent. Definitely would not recommend.
