I decided to stop by haven salon and l was immediately greeted by Talima. I told her what l was looking for and l shared with her my previous experience with hair extensions. She said she was very experienced person and offered me promising results and services. We probably spent a half hour talking about different types of hair extensions, methods, colors and treatments. Long story short, she showed me her profile of clients with hair extensions and she really convinced me. Initially, I paid her $550 and then the remaining balance upon day of installation, a TOTAL OF $ 1,100. l was very excited to try a new method other then sew-in. She advised me to do K-TIPS hair extensions she told me it was the best method and most natural look and depending on the client care the hair extensions would last about six months. But after only 3 weeks my hair extensions were looking horrible and my natural hair was getting seriously damaged. As if that wasn't enough, she blamed it on my "active life style" and the occasional use of dry shampoo which was no different than what I did with my previous extensions. I totally disagree. I had hair extensions for the past two years, they never got damage due to my life style and the quality of the hair extensions was amazing. I just wanted to try something different. I sent Talima photos of the look and she noticed the damage so she offered to remove them right away. I expressed to her my disappointment. She told me that she will contact the hair extension company and find out if the dry shampoo damaged the hair extensions. Later, she got back to me letting me know that the company said YES, it was the dry shampoo that damage the hair extensions. Unbelievable! Lastly, l asked her several times for my receipt for the extensions and for her services, it's been almost a month and Im still waiting for it.

I came here not knowing if they specializes with Asian hair (which I have). The place wasn't busy and waited not too long to be seen. Chn (I hope i got her name right) was the one who took care of me. She asked how I wanted my hair cut and how much to take off. I wanted to have it chopped to chin length, but she was against it. She told me she'll give me layers and the length would be just below my shoulders. I was a bit resistant since that was still too long for my liking, but she assured me that once the shortest layers were done it would look like the short cut I wanted. She went on and do her thing, we chatted and she made me feel comfortable. Once the hair cut was done and styled, I totally got what she meant. I loved my haircut, I felt fresh, light and Bonita ^_^ Definitely worth listening to her and would come back to her again.

I had a very bad experience with the owner of the salon Michelle. I had a consultation with her…read morewanting calico color hair and everything seemed fine I paid a $75 deposit . I came in for my appointment in October and she told me that it was possible that the colors would fade which I expected since vivid colors don't usually last a long time. I also told her that in the future I definitely want more vivid colors and she said I should have no issues with that. She started with the appointment and seemed off. I could tell she was stressed and nervous and she didn't talk to me much. During the appointment she put color on my hair had me sit for a while and then rinsed me off. After that she started with the hair cut and everything seemed okay. After the haircut she did not ask me if it looked okay or anything she just got to curling straight away. And then I paid the rest of my money owed which was over $200 and bought an overly priced shampoo. My bangs were short and choppy but everything else seemed okay. I started using the shampoo and it was horrible, she had recommended it for my oily hair but it made it so much worse. My hair grew out and the color started to fade and i thought it looks okay. I can't see in the back of my head but from the front everything looked fine. I decided that I thought I paid way too much for this service so I decided to go to a new hair stylist. I had a consultation with her and she asked me if I had looked in the back of my head. I said I know my roots are grown out but that's it. She took photos and my hair looked so bad. There's banding, streaks, it's splotchy and there is breakage. It looks like she threw the color on in a rush. The new hairstylist says this is not normal. I messaged Michelle and told her that this isn't right and that I should've never left the salon looking like this and that she should have told me this would have happened and I would've done something else. Now I have to spend over $400 to get a color correction. Michelle stated that she has a 14 day policy but I was never made aware of the policy and never saw any signs or anything else. I requested a refund if not all at least part because I have to pay to get this fixed. She will not do that and offered to fix it but I will never let her touch my hair again. Please BEWARE i have had so much bad luck with vivid hair stylists in Manteca and Michelle is another person you should stay away from.
