    Basic American Breakfast.
    Guy K.

In A Nutshell: -All Stars is spot I ate breakfast at several times during my time in Amsterdam. -I enjoyed their basic American breakfast of: eggs, hashbrowns, beans, toast & coffee. -The entire breakfast cost about 15 euros. -There is plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Overall, it can get packed pretty fast since it's in a prime, busy location of the Damrak, just minutes from Amsterdam Centraal Station.

walking down the main avenue in amsterdam and felt its dinner time...lol. saw an ad by all-star steakhouse...prices seemed reasonable and portions big so what the heck... got the agentinian steak...there was nothing agentinian about it except maybe a touch of chimichuri sauce...it was average but at least cooked properly...tender enough and not chewy..and came with a choice of side dish( fries, rice, or baked potato) next had the whole rack of ribs with same choices of side dish.... ribs was nothing to rave about. the sauce was weak, and rib itself was not charred long enough. it was surely boiled first then grilled judging by the texture. again, at least it was tender and not rough or chewy. when you're hungry...its a decent meal. wife said my ribs that i bbq at home are way better ( of course! ) lol. son had the carbonara sauce with spaghetti. this was probably the best dish. loads of pasta wth creamy carbonara sauce mixed with generous slices of bacon...and i do mean generous. too bad i didnt get to take a pict...but for $8.95 euro...such a good deal. when in amsterdam and hungry... worth a try! happy eating!!

We were in the area to catch an Amsterdam city & Anne Frank house tour & stopped by All Stars for a quick lunch. We were greeted & sat at one of the tables & ordered: (1) Beef Kabob Plate My beef kabob was served with frites, corn on the cobb & sautéed mushrooms. My kabob was tasty & the sides were good. (2) Cheese Burger Plates The burgers were huge & served with frites. Hubby & sonny didn't care for their lunch entree. I tasted the burger & it tasted more like a meatloaf.... :( I enjoyed my beef kabob plate ..... :) 3 Stars

It was the first place we walked up to on an empty stomach the first day we came to the city. We were hungry for just some eggs and coffee and the menu with pictures of eggs and sausage for €4,90 was enough to draw us in. It's a tiny diner with very close seating since they want to cram as many people as they can in here. The breakfast menu is pretty basic. We just ordered the basic English breakfast which comes with 2 Sunnyside up eggs, toast, 2 sausages, bacon and baked beans for €4,95. Large Coffee is €3,50. No refills. They don't do refills in europe. I originally wanted an omelete but their natural omelete for. €4,85 is actually JUST the eggs...nothing else..if you want fillings, you'd pay extra for it. The meal was good and satisfying. But very touristy. I suppose if you wanted an American breakfast like we did, this would be the place to go because it's not too expensive. The staff is very friendly and speak english. Most of the diners we noticed were all young foreigners who are probably staying in the hostels nearby. They accept credit cards!

    Eggs and Ham were great!!

Great ambiance, incredible views, and a solid overall experience. Service in Europe is . . . different. Not bad, just not what I'm used to, so I try not to let that impact things too much. One thing I do want to call out: my daughter's friend has a severe allergy to seafood, nuts, and kiwi, and the staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating. That wasn't our experience everywhere in Europe, so it definitely stood out and was appreciated. We went simple with two steaks: the "Mrs. Porter" and a bone-in ribeye. Mrs. Porter needed a little more seasoning, but the ribeye was . Sides? Honestly don't even remember them . . . which probably says enough. The highlight might've been the "Mr. Fox" dessert. They bring out this chocolate fox head, pour liquid nitrogen into it, and crack it open tableside. Super cool presentation. Dessert itself was good, not amazing . . . but I'd order it again just for the show. End of the day: great ambiance, great views, good food, and a fun experience. I'll definitely be back.

The drink prices on the other hand are outrageous. 36 euro for the smallest martini I've ever had. Don't get me wrong, it tasted great, but still. Paid about 82 euro for two martinis and a non alcoholic drink. Probably gonna steer clear for the rest of our trip. There are much better and more affordable options outside the hotel.

It's a nice little place, you can sit in the front of the restaurant where the chefs are cooking or the back dining room, away from the outer doors. We opted for the front, it was neat to watch them cut and cook our meat. We went with the Wagyu carpaccio, scallops, and tuna tartare as the appetizers. These were all absolutely incredible. So fresh tasting, made to perfection. The right amount of flavor. Next we ordered the tomahawk. We didn't realize until after we were eating that it was bison. It was so fantastic, I'm actually glad we didn't know because neither myself or husband had ever tried it before so it gave us the chance to try something new that we may not have ordered. It was cooked perfectly for us. The right amount of pink. It was so tender to chew and in my opinion the right about of fat on the cut. The lobster was great, it had the right amount of butter than a slight hint of lemon, not overpowering. The breads were good but the butters stood out, absolutely heavenly. So creamy and flavorful. I am going to dream about this when we leave. The broccoli/cauliflower and mushrooms were just ok to us, nothing gave us a wow on them. Overall the meal was fantastic. My husband said it was the best meal in his life. Our server was very kind and attentive. The chef and owner were also exceptional. Everyone made us feel very welcomed and taken care of. We never felt like we were being overlooked or ignored. We would recommend this place if you're looking for a great meal and service and not a bad price tag. For the quality of food, the price is on par with that and worth it all.

We both ordered the spare ribs - him with a side of potato and me with a side of vegetables. The food arrived pretty quickly. The portions were large.
