There are so many things that are painful and anxiety inducing. It would behoove us to really evaluate what's worth getting upset about and channeling energy in a productive area. If you miss a session, makeup appointments are offered at inconvenient times during the school/workday. If those times don't work for you, you're charged a $50 fee. Between the high costs, rigid scheduling, and additional fees, this was simply not worth it for our family.

Our daughter had difficulty speaking from early on;…read morewe had her in speech therapy (with a speech therapist recommended by our pediatrician) for more than 3 months, with zero progress. Our daughter was diagnosed with apraxia, and was considered non-verbal. We did our research, found Rachel, and were lucky enough to get a spot on her busy schedule. Rachel has an incredible speech therapy toolbox (including that she is one of the few PROMPT-trained speech therapists in Southern California). Within several weeks our daughter was initiating short independent phrases. We were overjoyed! From there, Rachel guided her development, and her speech and language exploded. In less than a year our daughter went from completely non-verbal to a non-stop chatterbox! Quite simply, Rachel taught our daughter to talk. We have had a number of assessments done, and Rachel's are by far the most comprehensive and thoughtful. Her calling is surely pediatrics, and kids with developmental delays. She is a natural at handling kids with problem behaviors, and at motivating children who are less than attentive. We cannot say enough good things about Rachel's demeanor, her compassion, her thoughtful and creative approaches, and her ability to communicate to parents and other professionals how to best help your child. 6 stars!

The last three times I have either been contacted by or called the office, the staff have been extremely rude and disrespectful. I scheduled an appointment for a specific time over the phone, but never received a confirmation until the day before the appointment--and when I did, the appointment time was completely different from what I had originally scheduled. I called to address the issue and was met with an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude from the staff member I spoke with. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable bringing my child to this location. He has made so much significant progress with her. Unfortunately there is therapist turnover but it has not impacted us much. My son loves coming here and I would recommend them to anyone. Noemi has excellent customer service and she always works with the families to reschedule when necessary. We've seen her go above and beyond for other families, not just for my son.

My son comes in for OT with Kyli and she's amazing with him! Kyli is the best OT we've had encountered thus far. She does very well with him. She's not only worked on fine, gross motor skills but also picky eating amongst other things. We've seen a lot of improvement since he's started OT at Carrico with Kyli. He couldn't wait for her to arrive at our home each week and to discover which fun games and toys they'd be playing with together. Sabrina's amazing bag of tricks, her warm and fun rapport, and her very clear and consistent routines helped to create a calm and positive learning environment. We quickly began to see progress in our son's articulation and expressive language.
