Left my beautiful pup with this place for the first time ever. My anxiety about leaving my pup was already high. So my mother and I sent a text message each if everything was fine the day we left since my pup has never been left alone. The owner the proceeded to call my mother and scream at the top of his lungs that he doesn't like to be contacted about the boarded dogs he has cause he has too many dogs to tend to. He then proceeded to scream if we were going to be a problem. We were already a couple hours away at this point so we couldn't turn back. I would never take my pup back to this place. On top of that it looks nothing like the pictures it is extremely filthy and cluttered. It is no place for anyone's dog to board. Stay away from this place if you like to check in on your fur baby. This owner is extremely hostile and rude on the phone. The reviews must be fake because the place is nothing like the reviews say AT ALL. STAY AWAY. read more

He sized her up, added his insight to our observations, and worked with our new dog on her specific needs-- leash walking and confidence building. Our almost 3 yr, pure breed female, German Shepherd was showing uncontrollable aggression towards any other dog small or large; except her brothers and sister doggies. In May 2019 we took our then 10 month pit/beagle/lab/mutt mix to Jason at All Star K9 for training. We did extensive research and several interviews before we chose Jason. During the evaluation, he spent over an hour with us, going over our concerns and our desired outcomes. We felt his individualized approach to training would best fit our dog. Stella spent 8 days with Jason, 6 of them in training, and we were extremely pleased with the outcome. Our daughter was having major foot surgery during training and was in a wheelchair for 7 weeks after and Jason trained Stella with his daughter to behave around the wheelchair and walk appropriately with the wheelchair. Our dog used to drag me down the street and after training she is loose leash walking with me. There was many other positive outcomes from training. Jason's training methods work as long as you as the owner respect his instructions and execute at home. Know that some dog behaviors are genetic traits and may never be able to be absolved, but Jason can help you to deal with them. Can't believe there are no reviews on Yelp yet for this business. Let me begin... Despite having our boy in previous training classes, we starting dealing with some severe behavior issues. We took our boy to Jason to deal with severe food aggression and strong leash pulling. Jason said he's not going to deal with the food aggression, he's going deeper to the root cause and the aggression will disappear as a result. We were hesitant, but decided to trust him. BEST DECISION WE'VE EVER MADE!!! We've had our boy back for about 2 months now and we are amazed at what Jason achieved in just one week! There has not been one sign of food aggression. Feeding time is pleasant and fun for everyone now. The leash pulling took a bit longer to control, but is finally starting to sink in with our boy. He's loose leash walking like a champ now. We've used the training to also help address excitement over visitors at the door and jumping up on people. If you're in need for a trainer, especially if your dog has severe behavioral issues, look no further. Jason is the right person for the job! He's a very straight forward, tell it like it is, no non-sense kind of guy. He understands your frustration and the issue(s) you're dealing with. Just picked my dogs up from a wonderful boarding kennel no thanks to these people. Had made arrangements to leave my dogs at All Star K9 weeks ago during our vacation. We tried to contacting them multiple times via text and phone call a few days before to confirm everything and see what we needed to bring. Was unable to get in contact with them and even now over a week later have gotten no response. So unprofessional. I'm SO glad we did not leave our dogs in their care and am so grateful for another local boarding place squeezing us in and taking wonderful care of our boys. read more

All Star K-9 (ASK9) Testimonial (Take a screen shot of this because it will probably disappear!) It is with trepidation that I write this testimonial. I don't know how ASK9 received so many positive reviews given our experience was highly unsatisfactory! We were encouraged and hopeful when we discovered ASK9 and thought we had found the answer to our prayers. Our 10-month-old golden retriever "Cali" is not a bad dog and had a few problems. We just wanted her to learn to "come, heel, and stay" and to have greater control when walking on a leash (training outcomes). We provided the proprietor a one-page letter describing our dog and what we hoped would be the training outcomes. When I tried to discuss the content of our letter he rudely replied: "I already know what your dog needs!" or words to that effect. It should have been my first clue. In a follow-on conversation with the proprietor and in an effort to perform my "due diligence," he became rude, hostile, and argumentative. I should have terminated the conversation and looked for another trainer. However, believing the many positive reviews of his services, I managed to calm him down and accept our dog for training. My mistake because none of the desired training outcomes described in the letter was achieved unless one is satisfied with relying on the commands "climb" and "free." Those commands are used by the proprietor to have one's dog mount and dismount from a 3'X4' platform box. In addition to the platform and a "prong" collar (that is supposed to mimic a bitch picking up her pup by the scruff of the neck) these were the only "deliverables!" So the box sits in our home and will serve purposes other than Cali mounting and dismounting from it. Regarding the prong collar we had to search on line for directions on its proper use. At the end of the week we picked up our dog and found her personality had changed. This was not because she had matured nor been "trained." She returned home timid, skittish, and anxious. During the "pick-up" exit interview the proprietor suggested we go to Tractor Supply and get a bullwhip. The purpose of the whip ostensibly was to attach a toy to it and sling it out for the dog to chase and retrieve. I had to wonder how much this form of "play" scared her. There was no follow up conversation or training and there was minimal hands-on practice demonstrating what she learned. I have met another recent client who provided a nearly identical assessment of ASK9 services and training. They elected not to post their experience. Interesting how there are no negative reviews with the exception of one on his Facebook page. My intent is to inform others of what they can expect if they choose to spend hundreds of dollars at ASK9. You have to perform your due diligence for the benefit of you and your pet. Otherwise you'll end up with a useless box and a prong collar. I strongly recommend investigating other schools to send your pet for training. It has been nearly four weeks now and our pup has returned to the loving, playful animal we knew. read more

I struggle writing this review because when we first came to Jason we were so excited to have him work with our at the time 10 month old pit bull mix. Jason had Tig for 9 days. And when we first got him back everything was wonderful! He stayed on his box and he listened so well. However 5 days after we got our boy back he bit a man.. and the struggles all started flooding back.. i contacted Jason full of frustration and emotions and he assured me we would meet up the following week.. this never happened. Our Tig was 6 months old he had a man get into his face and bark, yell, and growl at his. Ever since then Tigs struggles with men have become worse and worse. When we took him to Jason we were hoping he would work with him on his aggression and anxiety. But unfortionately that did not happen. This has honestly been a huge emotional struggle for us and we need to have a hands on trainer that would help us through this difficult struggle with our first pitbull. When i reached out to Jason to let him know we were going to be moving on to another trainer he became very unprofessional with my husband. That was very dissapointing as well.. read more
