TRYON FAMILY DENTISTRY is in a class of their own! ...and…read moreI'm not exaggerating. Back in late August, of 2023, I decided that I needed to see a dentist, mainly because I hadn't been since 2016. I noticed and assumed, I would need crowns. Although this was my priority, it wasn't the first three dentists whom I initially went to. The first two prioritized a wisdom tooth extraction, which surprised me because I had no pain. The third dentist agreed with my needing crowns, but wouldn't accommodate me without, first, wearing Invisalign for nine months, which my insurance wouldn't cover. Finally, I went to Tryon Family Dentistry, and they were like a dental euphoria. They were the total opposite of the three prior dentists. My dentist's name was Kristy Bryant, and she was everything I could want and need, especially under the prior circumstances. She was extremely professional, compassionate, and confident, and she complied with no problem. In less than three weeks, she had the crowns looking as amazing as she promised me they would. Currently, she's making a mouthguard to protect them. I'm totally satisfied. What a difference a day makes, and a dentist! Mostafa F. Foluke.

Every visit we paid up front and every time it was too much so we would get a credit. Then Dr. Leo suggested I get a mouth guard that was way too expensive and horribly uncomfortable, even after an adjustment. Still I continued to go as it was convenient to my neighborhood. The straw that broke the camels back was when I called early FRIDAY to reschedule my MONDAY appointment and the receptionist said I would have to pay a $75 cancelation fee. No one in my family has every missed an appointment or called at the last minute. At first I thought I misunderstood but I didn't. I even called to reschedule during the school day and I asked my students to stay really quiet because I wanted to contact them asap. About a week ago I received a bill for $75. That bill costs Tryon Family Dentistry 4 patients and a review on my neighborhood website.

I am very disappointed with this practice. My dad needed to have his dentures repaired or replaced…read more My dad saw an ad on Facebook with them advertising a sale on their dentures, so we decided to try them out. I made an appointment for my dad which was today, January 29, 2026. We arrived, and I completed his paperwork, and then we were called in the back shortly thereafter. While in the back, the technician said she needed to take a panoramic on him. I questioned the panoramic because my dad has no teeth in his mouth. He has a full set of dentures. Additionally, the equipment that they use for the panoramic cannot accommodate my dad who has a tracheostomy (tube in his neck). I explained that to her and showed her and she realized that this in fact was the case. She goes back to speak to someone about it and then comes back to let me know that the dentist can still see my dad, but the dentist won't be able to guarantee treatment. I was quite puzzled by this because there is no point of my dad seeing the dentist if he won't be able to evaluate my dad and decide what needs to happen with his dentures. That would have been a wasted visit and a waste of money. The dentures are the entire reason that we went there to begin with. This dentist does not have the appropriate equipment for someone in my dad's condition to be able to safely have a panoramic done. They were penalizing my dad with not guaranteeing a treatment plan once they evaluated him because he could not do a panoramic that they were not equipped to give him. We never bothered to see the dentist because it made no sense whatsoever. As we were leaving that facility, I asked the lady at the front desk to remove my dad's information from their system because he was no longer going to be a new patient.

Ok, waste of money. They also mention finance manager several times before even seeing the dentist, so I was prepared for a sales pitch. I have seen my previous dentists for many years, and was super satisfied and have not needed any work recently. All I wanted was a check up and cleaning. But you can't do that, you need 3 different scans and bite wing X-rays and 3D scans but won't clean. I spent over 1 1/2 hours for a new cleaning. So, I book a cleaning, and confirmed. Took off for work, and they cancled! They also canceled my son's appointment with no warning. So unprofessional and rude. No concern about other people's time. Worse dental office EVER! DO NOT GO HERE!

On the week of Nov 18, I call to see if they had Saturday's Appointment and I was told no so I booked it for Friday. The nice receptionist called me and said I have Saturday Opening. Great, I booked my husband 1st as he has a lot of work for 11am on Saturdays and I was at12 noon. We got there on time checked in asked if i can be seen earlier the receptionist said no we are booked. It was close to thanksgiving so I went shopping. About 30 mins later, my husband called me and said they would not see him and they wanted to see me 1st. My husband said my wife is not available. The hygienist told my husband since your wife is not here , i will take another patients knowing his appointment was 1st. I returned and asked to speak to Dr. Roberts to try to understand the hygienist behavior and how can allow this. He did not speak with us and rude hygienist can out to stand her ground. The receptionist was profusely apologizing but the bully hygienist was defiant. My husband and I would never allow the bully hygienist to use sharp objects in our mouths. I left and said I would never return unless Dr. Robert calls me. Today, I received the message from Dr. Robert. My Husband and I were told never to come back. This was sent via Certified Mail. Dr. Robert it seems with growth you are fine sacrificing the quality of service for expansion. I have left already. BEWARE of the angry Hygienist. Natasha JF

From the moment that I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the receptionists, Kayla and Beth. The waiting area was comfortable and inviting, with soothing decor and calming music playing the background, making the atmosphere very relaxing. Once called in by my dental hygenist, Hailey was incredibly friendly and professional, explaining each step of the process throughly and answering any questions I had. My dentist, Dr. Jenne, was equally impressive, demonstrating a high level of expertise and skill throughout the procedure. He took the time to ensure that I was very comfortable and informed at every stage, which I greatly apprieciated. What stood out to me the most was the attention to detail and precision exhibited by the entire team. The crown replacement was executed flawlessly, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only does my new crown look and feel natural, but it also fits perfectly, thanks to the meticulous work of my dentist. Furthermore, the office was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which further instilled confidence in the practice's commitment to hygiene and patient care. Overall, my experience at my dentist for a crown replacement surpassed all expectations. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in need of dental care. I had to reschedule due to the fact that my mom was so sick in the hospital and eventually passed away May 6th. They were very understanding and got me scheduled for surgery at their very next opening. I am absolutely terrified of the dentist, I had a lot of trauma and mouth surgeries as a young teen. Which led me to be neglectful when it came to the dentist. My amazing husband did a lot of research and found Bright Smiles Family Dentistry in Garner NC. I had a couple temporary crowns placed while in surgery. And the surgery, by the way, was about 7 1/2 hours under anesthesia. I was told when I was waking up from anesthesia they handed me a mirror and I of course started to cry. Dr. Hartman told me I was grabbing everyone in the room one by one pulling them to me so I could hug and thank them! They made sure to keep my mama's picture mounted where I could see it. So some of those tears were pure happiness and the others were for my mama wishing I could have shared this journey with her. So I went in yesterday and got me right in, checked some stuff out then asked if I wanted to do the permanent work yesterday while I was there so I didn't have to drive back Thursday. The office was full but took care of me, were EXTREMELY patient with me and never made me feel rushed. They took their time to perfect everything. Yoselin is one of their assistants and she was right by my side the entire time. Dr. Hartman did my left side and with my typical luck, things usually don't go the easy way lol. She had other patients to tend too while tending to me bc they squeezed me in yesterday! Yoselin let me squeeze her hand, she was rubbing my arm, and just being super sweet and comforting. Then Dr. Rouhani did my right side! Oh my dear God, that was and had been my more painful side. Well I just couldn't get numb enough not to feel the jolts of electricity hitting nerves. I had about 11 shots of Novocain and could still feel my right side! So Dr. Rouhani did the next best thing and was shaving the cap down while he was holding it! I kept apologizing to everyone and they never made me feel like I was a bother. Dr. Hartman was doing another surgery but kept coming in to check on me. Every single person who works there, including Sandy at the front desk who welcomed me each time by name! Andrea was super informative and helpful as well. I texted the after hours number several times (didn't know it was the after hours number) over the weekend and she replied to every text message...on her days off! Every single person there had their specific roles and it just flows! Everyone was always smiling, extremely knowledgeable, answered my billion and one questions and truly made me feel special! Yoselin is so soft spoken, so sweet, nurturing and like everyone else, thorough to the point of perfection! So to Dr. Hartman, Dr. Rouhani, Yoselin, Morgan, Andrea, Ana, Flor, Sandy and Mendy, thank you! Thank you for everything. I know we still have a lot ahead of us but I know y'all will make it tolerable lol! I trust this whole process because of these two doctors and their amazing staff that really seems to me like more of a family than a staff! And most of all, a HUGE, GIGANTIC thank you to my amazing husband for giving me my smile back and who knows, maybe a little confidence too lol! I have had a couple of little, I wouldn't say issues but tweeks. I've texted several times and always get a response whether it be during the week or on the weekends! And they always get me in right away! I am so grateful to every single person there. They all play a vital role in that office and it flows seamlessly. I can absolutely see that this is a family and not just a business with employees! Everyone is just so sweet, so happy and always smiling! I am forever grateful

First, they insisted on running X-rays they already had from my referring dentist. Then the real pressure started. They would not let me leave the office without scheduling surgery and putting down a deposit. I was not given a treatment plan until I verbally agreed to "consider" the work. The quote was $10,000, insurance covered $2,500, and they expected the remaining $7,500 out of pocket with no write-off. I have a documented sound sensitivity and specifically asked about sedation options -- what would be used, would I feel anything. No one in the office could give me a clear answer. Despite this, they continued pushing me to commit on the spot. The pressure triggered an anxiety attack, and there was zero attempt to accommodate or de-escalate. After the visit, a staff member named Amber called to follow up despite my explicit request not to contact me by phone. She ignored my boundary and told me she would "follow up Friday" and repeated that I "need this." This practice prioritizes billing over patient care. If you're being referred here, get a second opinion first. I refused the deposit and I'm glad I did.

Thankfully, I got a second opinion from a reputable periodontist who flat-out told me they were trying to take advantage of me. That should've been bad enough, but it gets worse. They told me my procedure could wait until December, then called me the next day saying it was suddenly urgent and couldn't wait -- only to realize they had called the wrong patient and gave me someone else's private information. Huge violation of privacy and shows how careless they are. They'll probably try to deny this, but I have the call logs to prove it: one from Dr. Kathwal herself, calling me from her personal phone admitting it was a mistake, and another from someone at the office admitting they had the wrong patient file open and called me instead of the patient they actually saw that morning. They also fraudulently filed a claim with my insurance for a free consultation, then ignored my insurance company's repeated requests for more information to fix it. When they finally agreed to send a check to correct the false claim, they promised it would be overnighted -- that was a lie too. Their excuse was, "it would've gotten there next day anyways." It didn't. It arrived more than two days later, causing even more delays and frustration. This office is a complete mess -- greedy, sloppy, and dangerous. Do not trust them with your health, your money, or your personal information. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here.
