Let me start by saying that I suffer from severe dental PTSD. I needed a root canal on an upper…read moremolar, and was referred by my regular dentist to see Dr. Cottle at Clayton Endodontics. Dr. Cottle took the time to explain everything very thoroughly, answer any and all questions that I had, and really put my dental stress at ease. But, more importantly, when I had the root canal done, I can honestly say that it was the least stressful procedure that I've had done at a dental office in over 40 years. The instruments that he used were extremely quiet, he didn't rush through anything or make me feel like I was keeping him from his next patient, and I just felt like he had some of the gentlest hands while he was doing all of the work. I literally started dozing off a couple of times in the chair, and that was with no nitrous. Although no dental experience that I've ever had has been enjoyable, this one was easily the least unpleasant. Oh, and even though they don't take dental insurance, they filled out the reimbursement forms for my insurer and submitted them for me while I was there. Recommend highly!!

I've never had a root canal so i guess i can't complare them to anyone on that front but i do have some dental trauma in my past and while I'm mostly past it i still get nervous. They treated me so kind and caring from the moment i called till wayyyyyy after i got my root canal. The dr is awesome, great at what he does! And the supporting staff is just as wonderful, including everyone who works at the desk. I had trouble with my insurance and they were kind about it every time they had to call and leave me another voicemail, never badgering or blaming. Very professional and kind. 10/5 stars.

I have had cleanings, fillings, referrals to Dr. Cottle for a root canal, crowns, etc and all have been taken care of with the lowest level of pain and the utmost comfort. I am a very detail-oriented, down to the dollars and cents, fairly picky individual and Dr. Sigmon runs a tight ship and I always leave satisfied. If something comes up and something isn't quite right, I know Dr. Sigmon will take excellent care of me. The receptionist Karina, is always extremely kind and everyone I've interacted with has been great.

My one complaint is the waiting area. There is an enormous ottoman that takes up a large part of the room. It's awkward if you have to get around someone and more importantly it makes the room handicap inaccessible. I am still giving them 5 stars because this is something they can easily fix and then this practice would have everything going for it.

While the dentist who performed the extraction was professional and efficient, the subsequent care provided by the dental assistant was unacceptable. The assistant struggled significantly with the impressions, requiring three painful attempts that left my mouth raw and sore. Furthermore, she fabricated a temporary bridge that was bulky and ill-fitting, then proceeded to cement it without the Doctors authorization. The doctor eventually had to intervene to remove and fix the work. Which meant more unnecessary work had to be done. This lack of technical proficiency resulted in an unnecessarily long and "borderline traumatizing" appointment. I strongly feel this assistant requires further training before performing these procedures on patients again! However, the front desk staff is super sweet and nice. I enjoyed Stacy and all the knowledge she provided me to have a great experience!

She even has a therapy dog on staff !!! She numbed me up really well and the procedure was painless. She and her assistant chat the entire time so that really keeps your mind off of what is going on in your mouth. I would so HIGHLY recommend Dr Bills and her staff. I have spent the past month of my life in hell. It all started with a filling 2 months ago. That…read morefilling caused me such extreme cold sensitivity that it made me tear up drinking iced tea. Ice cream? Forget about it. The dentist said it was normal, it would go away. Fine, I would wait. Then I was waking up in the middle of the night with the worst pain I have ever experienced in that side of my face. Both the top and the bottom of my mouth. Dentist said I was grinding my teeth. Gave me a night guard. Night guard didn't work, dentist said I probably had a sinus infection because looking at the x-rays, my teeth were perfectly healthy. (I'm glad they looked healthy, they felt like they were about to explode but thanks for that.) I went to the doctor. Not a sinus infection. Dentist referred me to a TMJ specialist. Instead I looked on the internet and found Dr. Bills. Dr. Bills and her staff started off on the right foot by TALKING to me. Asking what was going on, explaining things that the dentist didn't bother explaining to me. Then she tapped on my teeth and sprayed water on them. The whole problem with my mouth? One tooth. The tooth that was filled 2 months prior. It would need a root canal. They didn't have any openings for 2 weeks, but since I was in pain for over a month, they made one. I don't like dentists. I especially don't like the idea of a root canal. I had never had one, I was scared to death. I told Dr. Bills that I would prefer to be put under. She disagreed, telling me it wasn't as bad as I thought and that it would cost extra and instead she could give me Valium for free (even though she thought I didn't even need that.) So I reluctantly agreed. She's the expert, right? So my parents took me in that day since I couldn't drive myself on the Valium. I was relaxed. High as a kite, really. I am not kidding ONE BIT when I say that I have had TEETH CLEANING that were more painful than Dr. Bills' ROOT CANAL. Just the tiniest prick from the needle (and really, it was the least painful needle prick I've ever felt) was the only thing I ever felt. I think I might have ever gone to sleep during part of the procedure. And thanks to the valium, I slept for 4 hours, woke up with the numbing effect worn off. The procedure was at 6:45 am, and I have not had any pain killers since. Around lunch time I ate ice cream. I nearly cried. Not in pain, though. Quite the opposite. Dr. Bills is the real deal, y'all.

It was off putting after my pleasant experience. - I've had issues with my insurance in the past and they helped me work around the problem. - Don't call during lunch hours; nobody's there to answer your call.
