I just felt weird about it and each time I asked him if it was normal he said it was. He even told me at the six week post op appt to "don't worry about it don't look at it just leave it alone" and ever since then I had two dentists and one hygienist tell me that I need gum graft surgery, and when I told him I had it done they were each surprised.. so that was my first hint that I was right, and then they also pointed out things that he said "were fine" were not. I'm about to have the procedure again with a different periodontist that has made me feel like I am heard, not brushed off like a bug off on someone's shoulder. I walked into Adam's office knowing that I had at least three teeth on top that had recession but to my surprise, he only pointed out one so I went with it. This new doctor immediately pointed out the three on top without me saying anything. Long story short this taught me to always get a second opinion and to go with your gut.

He has listened to me. He has calmed me. His work is superior. The hygienists are friendly, through, and explain step by step what is being done. I have had cleanings, fillings, referrals to Dr. Cottle for a root canal, crowns, etc and all have been taken care of with the lowest level of pain and the utmost comfort. I am a very detail-oriented, down to the dollars and cents, fairly picky individual and Dr. Sigmon runs a tight ship and I always leave satisfied. If something comes up and something isn't quite right, I know Dr. Sigmon will take excellent care of me. My one complaint is the waiting area. There is an enormous ottoman that takes up a large part of the room. It's awkward if you have to get around someone and more importantly it makes the room handicap inaccessible. I am still giving them 5 stars because this is something they can easily fix and then this practice would have everything going for it.

On the week of Nov 18, I call to see if they had Saturday's Appointment and I was told no so I booked it for Friday. The nice receptionist called me and said I have Saturday Opening. Great, I booked my husband 1st as he has a lot of work for 11am on Saturdays and I was at12 noon. We got there on time checked in asked if i can be seen earlier the receptionist said no we are booked. It was close to thanksgiving so I went shopping. About 30 mins later, my husband called me and said they would not see him and they wanted to see me 1st. My husband said my wife is not available. The hygienist told my husband since your wife is not here , i will take another patients knowing his appointment was 1st. I returned and asked to speak to Dr. Roberts to try to understand the hygienist behavior and how can allow this. He did not speak with us and rude hygienist can out to stand her ground. The receptionist was profusely apologizing but the bully hygienist was defiant. My husband and I would never allow the bully hygienist to use sharp objects in our mouths. I left and said I would never return unless Dr. Robert calls me. Today, I received the message from Dr. Robert. My Husband and I were told never to come back. This was sent via Certified Mail. Two weeks later, they called and said they did not have the "software" to work on my teeth. You have no idea how embarrassing that was for me.. I thought I could trust him , but I was totally wrong. I do not recommend this dentist at all. There are plenty of dentists that will treat you with dignity, and he is not one. People will find out about him because word travels fast. Don't waste your time or money. BTW if you are late they won't see you or it's a $50.00 fine.

The quality of work and care has been wonderful. Over time I have learned that there are different people working at the office at different times. Some are my favorite and I see them more often. I do understand the last few years have had changes that have happened to everyone, but overall this practice excelled and still really stands out. I have a lot of respect for the team, so I also work hard to make sure I maintain my dental care and show them how I have learned to take care of my teeth the best that I can between visits.
