Dr. Santos was also great, making the extractions pain free and easy before Reese assisted me back to my waiting ride. I am a big baby but Dr. Stella along with assistants, Frank and Saran made me feel at ease from consultation to surgery and follow ups. The entire team at their different locations are friendly and professional. Some patients' reviews here may be frustrated with costs but I think there is no better investment than investing on oneself. Having a game plan is key to understanding the entire process, including financing. Tar Heel Periodontics is not in my insurance network but after consultation with the understanding of what's involved and inquiring coverage with my insurance company, I planned and prepared for the entire process from surgery to nutrition to follow ups. I had a consult and met with Ashley, the treatment coordinator, to go over pricing and scheduling. I paid half up front. She and I discussed a few things and I was to call her later that day and follow up. I was unable to get ahold of her for more than a week and a half after having left multiple messages. When she did finally reach back out to me the first thing she said was "I was going to call you today anyway because I need the remainder of your payment." This was a red flag. You can call when you want money, but not when a new patient has questions. I had to continue to follow up with the office and ask questions about my upcoming conscious sedation appt. The morning of, I was instructed to take the meds 1 hour before arrival. When I got to the office they cancelled my appointment because they did not give me the appropriate consent paperwork to sign prior to my appointment, to which I arrived "inebriated." I understand why the papers couldn't be signed when I was on meds but all of this should have been handled prior to my appointing. The doctor didn't even come in to apologize about the circumstances (in which I took a full day off of work and had arranged for someone to drive me and stay IN the office for the duration of my procedure). Sarah, the treatment manager, did follow up the next day and she was the only person who acted like they even cared. She said they addressed the issue in the office. Had everyone handled business the way she did with me we would not have had this issue. All that to say, my trust in this clinic was completely diminished and I will NOT be going back under any circumstances.

I had a major surgery coming up and I needed to have my dental issues clear before the surgery. A male Spanish speaking dentist worked on them, at the very same moment he installed the first bridge I told him that it didn't feel right, the owner of the place came and worked on it for a few minutes assuring me that after a few days it would feel fine, that I needed to get used to it. on the second bridge he installed a provisory one. I called a few days later and send many emails saying that the bridge he installed didn't feel right, that food was getting stuck and shape was not matching the rest of my molar structure, the color was way off compared to the rest of the teeth and I had a sensation when chewing. They ignore my messages for a long time. When they finally responded, they did so with the assumption that I was going there to pay for the one that I had the temporary tooth worked on. I told them that I needed the one that was given me issues fixed. They said in an email that I needed to pay for the temporary bridge over $5000 in order for them to fix what they did wrong. In January a few months after my surgery, I responded saying that I only wanted them to fix what they did wrong with my bridge, basically I wouldn't allow them to work on my mouth on the other bridge. They were only thinking on the money without any regard for my health, they were upset because I complained that the bridge they installed was a mess. And kept saying that it was me that I didn't like it. I told them that is not about like or not liking it, I complained because they did a terrible job with it, and to this date is causing lots of issues and discomfort. Then they send me a message saying that they didn't want me in their office again and saying that they will not send me to collection for a balance due on my account (I don't owe them anything, I paid a lot of money for the bridge they messed up). unless they also charge to answer emails. I am very upset and disappointed with Stapleton Dentistry of Cary. They treated me very badly, unprofessionally and without any compassion even though I explained to them that I was going to have a major surgery. to this date I am still struggling and suffering with the messed they did on my mouth, trying to save up to go see a professional dentist. However, they did not even submit the claim to insurance for nearly 2 full months, despite multiple requests to do so. Once they finally submitted the claim (in April), my insurance asked several basic follow-up questions about the treatment so they could process the claim. It has now been another two months and Crabtree Valley Dental has still not provided that info, despite multiple letters from insurance. Over the phone, they keep assuring me they will take care of it but weeks go by with no action. It seems pretty clear now that because they received my money, they they have little interest is helping with my insurance claim. I previously had good experiences with CVD, but I do not recommend that anyone pay for any treatments up front with them. Make them submit to insurance first, because otherwise you may never see that money again.
